Chapter 36 - Only One Month Left to Live

Saphen only felt as though he had slept for a very long time. His head ached as if it had just been run over by a truck, even more terrifying than the bouts of high fever he had endured before.

He was clearly beginning to regain consciousness, yet his eyelids felt so heavy that he could hardly open them at all.

"6677, 6677…" Saphen silently called out in his mind, but 6677 that normally stayed right by his side did not respond at all.

It took quite a long while before Saphen finally managed to open his eyes.

Recalling what had happened the previous night, Saphen thought that at the very least he should be in a hospital. But he was not. The ceiling was high and spacious, the room simply furnished yet unmistakably luxurious. More importantly, it was familiar. This was clearly the room Saphen had previously stayed in at Cain's villa.

So Cain had not taken him to the hospital. He had brought him back here instead.
