Chapter 48 - Chapter 48: The Monster Stampede is Crushed

"Awooo awooo awooo!!!"

The monsters at the center of the numerous explosions were essentially killed instantly. Those closer by also suffered considerable damage, but the most important factor was the incinerating power.

It was unclear what chemical composition was inside, but the flames could quickly spread on the monsters despite the lack of flammable materials, terrifyingly similar to a viral infection.

The monster horde, which was already somewhat chaotic, was completely thrown into disarray by Lin Feng and Seryu's Incendiary High-Explosive Grenades, turning them into headless flies scrambling everywhere.

Many monsters smashed blindly into the surrounding walls as if they were blind.

Sure enough, the monsters that were on fire also caused the walls to briefly catch fire upon impact, though the flames extinguished in just a few seconds, lasting nowhere near as long as the flames on the monsters themselves.

Hayasaka Ai and Katō Megumi, standing behind Lin Feng's group, were dumbfounded by this sight. Modern weaponry against Dungeon monsters?

Their Lord God had even produced grenades! However, Hayasaka Ai looked down at the small pistol in her hand and suddenly felt less surprised by the explosions in the distance, finding it all rather normal now.

After the bombing assault of over a dozen Incendiary High-Explosive Grenades, quite a few of the one or two hundred monsters still survived with combat capability.

These monsters quickly gathered, their eyes bloodshot, staring intently at Lin Feng's group, their nostrils flaring with heavy breathing.

It seemed they had been scared by the scene just now, and upon realizing that the few people not far away were the cause, rage instantly surged in their hearts.

"Seryu! Throw the remaining two you have left!"

Lin Feng did not want to give the monsters any special opportunity and continued to instruct Seryu to deliver the last two to them.

"Bang bang bang!!"

Following two loud bangs, the monsters that had just gathered were once again scattered and knocked over.

The huge commotion caused by Lin Feng's group also slowly drew some adventurers from the vicinity. However, seeing the scene of so many monsters being blasted and burned to death, they all watched with wide eyes, their bodies stiff and daring not to move.

They had thought some high-level adventurer had taken down these monsters.

"Let's go!"

"Little Ai! Little Megumi, you come over too! Let's quickly finish the fight!"

Only scattered dozens of monsters remained in the area that had been hit by the explosions and fire. The rest were either blasted or burned to death, leaving the ground sparkling with Magic Stones.

Lin Feng also noticed several small adventurer teams watching from a distance. Because of the agreement among adventurers not to poach monsters, they couldn't intervene unless Lin Feng's group asked for help.

Moreover, they had no intention of interfering. The 'big shot' had almost finished off all the monsters. If they were to ignorantly charge in now, wouldn't that just be looking for trouble?

Anyone who had survived in the Dungeon this long was certainly not that foolish.

The remaining dozens of monsters were quickly dealt with by Lin Feng's group. Seryu's biological Teigu, Koro, devoured seven or eight monsters whole.

It also directly swallowed their Magic Stones, which should not cause any problems.

While Lin Feng and his group were cleaning up the mess, the news delivered by the few adventurers who had fled from the Monster Delivery was shocking the surface area.

Such a situation should not occur on the upper levels. Experienced adventurers needed to be quickly assembled to resolve this problem, or the lives of the newbie adventurers on the first few levels would be severely threatened.

Being injured or killed by monsters was one thing, but dying because of a monster delivery or stampede was truly tragic.

The Adventurer's Guild, a distance away from the Dungeon, quickly received this news. Eina, as a staff member, naturally knew about the Dungeon's Monster Rex.

"What!!!"

"You said someone delivered the monsters?!"

Eina was instantly furious upon hearing this news. Such an act completely disregarded the existence of the Adventurer's Guild.

This adventurer, along with their associated Familia and god, should all be punished!

Otherwise, if everyone did this when they encountered danger, the Dungeon would fall into complete chaos (though things would mostly proceed as they always do).

"Where is the team that was delivered the monsters! What is their status? Which Familia are they members of!"

Eina immediately pressed for more information. This was no simple matter. If the targeted Familia was a small one, this incident could easily lead to the death of their members and the Familia's dissolution.

This was something most gods did not want to see, as they all cherished their children, many of whom they had watched grow up, leading to deep emotional attachments.

"Miss Eina, the team that was delivered the monsters was a team of four girls and one man, including a girl carrying a small beast."

"A small beast?"

Hearing this key phrase, Eina quickly searched her memory for any adventurers she knew.

"A small beast... I found it! It's the newcomer in the Lin Feng Familia!"

"Four girls and one man... Does the Lin Feng Familia have a male member?"

Eina recalled carefully, only finding that the person who carried a small beast into the Dungeon was the new member of the Lin Feng Familia.
