Chapter 13 - Mad Obsession

Daniel Raizada fed Selene Sinclair with his own hands.

After finishing, he wiped his hands with a tissue.

Holding Selene's face gently between his palms, Daniel said in a low, firm voice,

"Focus on your studies… and stay away from boys. Understood?"

Selene nodded obediently.

Daniel then leaned forward and placed a light kiss on her forehead.

That single touch made Selene's eyes close on their own.

She slowly opened them and looked at him.

"Sir… may I leave?"

Daniel glanced at her once and replied calmly,

"Hm."

The moment she heard his permission, Selene jumped off his lap and rushed out at lightning speed.

Everything happened so fast that Daniel didn't even get a chance to react.

For a few seconds, he kept staring at his empty lap…

then his gaze shifted toward the gate through which Selene had just disappeared.

Looking in that direction, he murmured softly,

"I don't know why… but every little thing about you is turning me into your crazed lover."

A smile appeared on his lips.

That smile carried madness… obsession.

If anyone had seen it, they would have collapsed on the spot.

Meanwhile, Selene was running toward the canteen when she suddenly bumped into Nisha and Garv on the way.

Garv frowned and said,

"Hey, little one, watch it! Where are you running like this?

We've been waiting for you in the canteen forever, and lunch time is already over.

What were you doing all this time?"

Nisha added suspiciously,

"Yes, Selene… what were you doing?"

The moment Selene heard them, she burst into loud sobs. 😭😭😭😭

Seeing her cry like that, both Nisha and Garv panicked immediately and tried to calm her down.

Nisha said gently,

"Selene, stop crying. Tell us what happened first. Then we'll do something."

Garv clenched his fists and said angrily,

"Little one, stop crying.

Did that Daniel Raizada say something to you or do something?

Tell us — we'll complain to the principal, even if he's a professor of this college."

Hearing Garv's words, Selene sobbed harder and said,

"Really, brother… you'll complain to the principal, right?"

"Yes, little one. Now tell us."

Crying uncontrollably, Selene said,

"Brother… that professor 😭😭😭

he fed me grass."

"The taste was so terrible that

I swear it would've been better to drink poison."

"When I was eating it,

I wasn't bleating like a goat or mooing like a cow…

but all those feelings were definitely there."

Nisha rubbed her temples in frustration.

"What nonsense are you talking, Selene? Grass? Goat? Cow?

Say it clearly — what do you mean?"

Selene replied sadly,

"You won't understand this pain, Nisha.

Only someone who has eaten grass like me can understand it…

or maybe a novel's heroine." 😔

After somehow calming Selene down, the three of them went to their classes.

A while later, college ended.

They said goodbye to each other and left for their homes.

Daniel also left for his office.

Selene stood outside the college gate, waiting for her cab.

Just then, Reed Sinclair arrived in his car.

At the same time, Mia, who was walking out of the gate, spotted him and ran straight into his arms.

"Brother! You came today? The driver didn't come?"

Reed smiled and replied,

"No. Today I thought I'd pick up my sisters myself."

Hearing this, Mia beamed.

"That's such a good idea!"

She climbed into the front passenger seat.

Reed's eyes then shifted toward Selene.

He was about to say something when Selene's cab arrived.

Without saying a word, Selene got inside and left.

She didn't even look at Reed once.

The truth was — Reed had come only for Selene.

But Selene didn't even like looking at him, let alone talking to him.

Seeing this, Reed's eyes turned moist.

He whispered to himself,

"Please forgive me, my child…

Your brother is desperate to hear the word 'bhaiya' from your lips." 🥺

Selene reached home.

Just as she was about to go upstairs, a voice stopped her.

"You're back, child?"

She turned and smiled.

"Yes, Grandpa. I'm back. I'm feeling very tired today."

Victor Sinclair asked softly,

"Are you feeling alright, child?"

"Yes, Grandpa. I'm perfectly fine.

The college is a bit far, so travelling back and forth gets tiring.

I'll feel better after some rest."

"Alright, child. Go and rest.

I'll have your food sent to your room."

"Thank you, Grandpa." 😘

With that, Selene went to her room.

Down in the hall, Victor wasn't alone.

Grace Sinclair and Ronald Sinclair were sitting on the sofa as well.

But Selene didn't spare them even a single glance.

Her cold behaviour shattered them from the inside.

Yet they knew — the fault was theirs too.

A little later, Reed and Mia arrived home.

Mia immediately hugged Grace and said cheerfully,

"Mom, please make me a cup of tea with your own hands.

Half of my tiredness will disappear with that." ☺️

Grace forced a faint smile and replied,

"I'll bring it right away." 🙂

A.R. Office

Daniel sat in his office cabin, trying hard to focus on his work.

But again and again, Selene's face appeared before his eyes.

Finally exhausted, he stood up and walked toward the glass wall overlooking the city.

His gaze lifted to the sky, where the sun was setting, wrapped in a crimson glow.

He whispered to himself,

"I'm like this setting sun…

destined only for darkness.

And you… you are my madness."

"Stay as far away from me as you can, child.

It's better for you.

Otherwise, I'll lock you inside my world —

a world with no escape."

"And the day you step into my world…

you'll have to endure my madness,

my obsession,

my love,

my insanity —

every single day, every night."

"You have no idea what you're becoming to me.

You are mine…

only mine.

And I am yours." ❤️
