Chapter 8 - Chapter 8

"The real difficulty," I said, shaping chakra between my fingers,"is compressing that much energy instantly into the form of a fire dragon."

The night air trembled as a blazing serpent roared into the sky—my demonstration for Shisui. With my recent mastery of chakra form transformation, the explanation flowed naturally.

Shisui watched with sharp focus."I get it. I think I can try."

He formed seals in a blur—quick, but still earnest—Chakra flared, compressed, then ignited.

"Fire Style: Dragon Fire Technique!"

A one-meter fire dragon blasted upward, spiraled, then plunged into the river with a hiss.

pfff—

I clapped.

"Not bad at all. Honestly, I expected you to need several attempts. I underestimated your talent."

And I was genuinely surprised. He hadn't even activated his Sharingan, yet he'd learned a B-rank technique in a single attempt.

Double-S talent was terrifying.

"It's thanks to your teaching, Teacher Mu Yue."Shisui bowed his head slightly, humble as always.

But even now, he shook his head.

"I've only used it, not mastered it. Compared to your Fire Dragon… I'm nowhere close."

I grinned.

"In that case, I'll demonstrate the Great Dragon Fire a few more times."

His eyes brightened.

Time blurred as we trained, dusk bleeding into night.By the time Shisui exhaled another fire dragon, he finally noticed how dark the world had become.

Did my voice really make him lose track of time? His expression said exactly that.

"Teacher, I'll head back now."

"Before you go—take this. My notes on chakra form manipulation. Study it well."

Shisui's eyes trembled. He accepted the booklet and bowed deeply.

Four days.Only four days, and yet the kid respected me more fiercely than many adults ever had.

Watching him leave, I smirked.

My strongest gold mine never disappointed.

[You Gifted the Disciple: Form Alteration Manual][Critical Gratitude Triggered — Reward Granted][Skill Unlocked: Wind Style — Damage Suppression (Proficient Level)]

A surge of memories hit me like a tidal wave:

Wind manipulation.Compression vectors.Wide-area cutting pressure.Synergy with Fire Style.

Wind Style: Suppression—one of the strongest wind jutsu in existence.

Combined with my fire techniques, I could create devastating elemental combos.

And with both wind nature and form manipulation accessible…

Rasenshuriken just became possible.

Over the next few days, I tested a theory—The System's "gift rewards" depended on two factors:

Quality of the gift

The disciple's emotional reaction

The second mattered more.

On Day 2, I gave Shisui some snacks → System gave me 10 shuriken. On Day 3, I gave him food I personally made → System gave me +50 Chakra.

The message was clear:

Thoughtfulness = better loot.

Tomorrow, I'd check his student file.I needed to know his birthday.

If I played this right?

He'd explode with gold coins.

The fifth day in this world.

A third-grade teacher begged for a substitute.Of course I volunteered.

Result:

Two classes =• +20 Chakra• Stronger Great Fireball (proficiency increased)

The System didn't give duplicate jutsu—It leveled them up.

Like stacking enhancement tiers in an RPG.

Ueda Aya stared at me with a mix of awe and disbelief.

"Teacher Hanyū… if you keep being this easy to talk to, the others will dump all their substitute classes on you."

Good.More classes meant more rewards.

"We're colleagues. And I enjoy teaching," I said earnestly.

She stared like she'd seen a mythical creature.

The weekend arrived.

Academy off-days: Saturday and Sunday.

At 8 a.m., I gathered Obito and Might Guy at the training grounds for "special training."

"Why do I have to get up early during holidays…?" Obito groaned, collapsing over the desk I set up.

"Early? This is normal," Might Guy blinked.

I handed them custom-made test papers—the kind specifically designed to get them enough points to pass.

Five days of schooling wasn't enough for full exam-level material. So I engineered an easier version.

Before they could complain, Shisui arrived, ready for training.

He froze at the sight of the two fourth-years suffering over papers.

"Teacher Mu Yue… this is…?"

"They're fourth-years. I'm tutoring them. You keep practicing. Don't worry."

A cruel idea flickered in my mind.

Let the junior student practice high-level ninjutsu...while the older students solve baby exam papers in agony.

Motivation comes in many forms.
