Chapter 63 - 61

Chapter 61: Getting Used to Vomiting

Shattered limbs were scattered all over the floor, making everyone feel nauseous.

Ignoring comforting Hermione, Ethan Jones first hugged a toilet and began to vomit violently.

The other three couldn't hold it back either, each hugging a toilet and vomiting their guts out.

Especially Harry, who was right under the Troll's feet at the time, covered in small debris, with the smell of blood and stench permeating around him. He vomited the most.

A burst of loud footsteps approached the girls' bathroom. The group didn't even care to see who it was, each guarding their own toilet.

"Oh my god!" It was Professor McGonagall. Seeing this bloody scene, she exclaimed.

The two professors following her into the room also fell silent seeing this slaughterhouse-like scene.

Quirrell glanced at Ethan Jones, who was hugging the toilet, pretended to be weak, sobbed, sat on a toilet lid, and clutched his chest.

"Who can tell me what exactly happened?" Professor McGonagall looked at the four people with their backs to them.

Ethan Jones raised his hand: "Professor, wait a moment, let me finish vomiting." After speaking, he vomited again with a "waa".

The professors' faces were also grim.

Snape looked at the minced meat on the ground and locked his gaze on Ethan Jones.

Professor McGonagall also focused her attention on him because he spoke.

Plus Quirrell, who had been sneaking glances at him, now all the professors' eyes were locked on this continuously vomiting boy.

During this time, Professor McGonagall, unable to stand the smell, cleaned up the blood and flesh on the ground, making the air in the whole room slightly fresher.

After a long time, Ethan Jones finally lifted his head from the toilet, his face pale.

Having not eaten dinner, he had vomited even his bile clean.

He wiped the bile from the corner of his mouth and took out his wand, intending to conjure some Aguamenti (clear water) to rinse his mouth. Unexpectedly, before he could finish the spell, a ball of clear water floated beside him.

"Thank you." He quickly caught it with both hands and sent the water into his mouth.

After rinsing his mouth, he realized that it was Snape who sent him the water.

"Thank you, Professor." He thanked him solemnly again.

"Professor McGonagall, I heard the Troll was in the dungeons. I was afraid it would cause damage and affect our Potions class, so I sneaked here to get rid of it." Ethan Jones took all the blame on himself.

"The three of them were invited by me to help, in case I failed."

"Mr. Jones, do you know how dangerous this is! A Troll is not something you first-year wizards should be dealing with!" Professor McGonagall trembled with anger.

"Five points from Slytherin! Now, you should return to your respective common rooms."

"Sorry, Professor."

He sneaked a glance at Snape. The Head of House of Slytherin, who he thought would be angry about the point deduction, actually seemed to be smiling?

He suspected he might have seen it wrong.

He supported Hermione's arm, while Harry and Ron supported each other, walking towards the Gryffindor Tower.

Harry whispered: "Thank you, otherwise we would have had points deducted too."

"It doesn't matter. Points were going to be deducted anyway. It's better to deduct from one person than all four." Ethan Jones, who had already earned a lot of points for Slytherin this semester due to various outstanding performances, could afford these five points.

Ron remained silent and didn't speak.

Hermione also felt guilty. She wasn't guilty about the five points, but because her bad mood had put everyone in danger.

After experiencing this incident, she recalled the dispute at that time and felt somewhat guilty.

Because even the professors didn't punish him for it, so Ethan Jones was right; she was the one in the wrong.

And what she was thinking now was how to make the two third wheels go away so she could explain to him why she was in the bathroom in the dungeons.

The group, exhausted from vomiting, struggled to climb up the eight-story tower.

"Pig Snout." Harry and Ron went in first, leaving Hermione and Ethan Jones in somewhat awkward silence.

"I, I wanted to find you, but when I got to the Slytherin entrance, I asked a few people, and no one ignored me, so I had to vent my breakdown in the toilet in the dungeons." Hermione lowered her head, not knowing where to put her hands.

"It doesn't matter. Enjoy Halloween."

"Mm." Hermione's voice was as quiet as a mosquito.

"Alright, rest well. I'm going back first."

Hermione watched his back disappear before saying the password to enter the common room.

Harry and Ron, who had entered earlier, were not there. Presumably, they went back to wash and change clothes. After all, being covered in blood was not suitable for appearing in such an occasion.

Hermione saw some stains on herself too and ran hurriedly towards the girls' dormitory.

After returning to the dungeons, Ethan Jones also changed out of his dirty clothes immediately.

He actually stood far enough away, but because the explosion was too powerful, some blood still splashed on him.

Refreshed, he came to the common room where he rarely stayed, spending this special Halloween Eve with all the Slytherins.

In the Potions class the next day, Snape continued to make things difficult for Harry. Especially after Seamus's wand misfired and blew up a cauldron, he took the opportunity to deduct one point from Gryffindor.

After class, before Harry and Ron could finish thanking him again, Snape called him away.

Having experienced the Troll disaster together, Hermione's relationship with the two had also eased a lot, especially after Ron's sincere apology.

The Gryffindor trio finally came together.

In Snape's office, the hook-nosed professor asked: "Was that Confringo you cast yesterday?"

Ethan Jones nodded.

"Very impressive power. No wonder Quirrell is so keen on teaching you Dark Magic." Snape paused: "Also, good job yesterday."

After giving this abrupt praise, he chased the confused Ethan Jones away, leaving him no chance to ask questions.

Bewildered, Ethan Jones didn't know if he received thanks because he indirectly saved Harry's life.

"Really, just speak clearly. I hate riddlers the most!"

After finishing the afternoon classes, he saw Hermione in the library again after a long time. There were two more people beside her—Harry and Ron.

Ethan Jones nodded to them and sat next to Hermione, asking quietly: "You made up?"

"Mm, we are friends from now on."

"That's good."

After a brief exchange, the two looked through their favorite books and did their homework.

During this time, Harry and Ron, who finished their homework, said hello and left early.

Harry went to practice Quidditch to prepare for his first match, and Ron went to cheer for his buddy.

When only the two remained, Hermione glanced at Ethan Jones, enjoying this quiet atmosphere.
