Aira finishes class the next day as she walks to get some food from the cafeteria for lunch, but gossip and giggles fill the hall as she walks past.
She tunes her special gossip ear, locking on to a conversation between two girls.
''Shiratori? No way she's dating Togata''. A girl says.
''They probably are!''. The other girl cries. ''So quickly! I never even got the chance to talk to him!''.
''Ouch, too little too late''. Her friend replies jokingly.
''That's not funny!''. The girl replies.
''What? Don't tell me''. Aira says angrily.
She locks on to another conversation between three guys.
''Bro it is true, Toriyama was totally making out with the Shiratori chick at school last night!''. A boy exclaims.
''He's already started his damn harem that bastard, Ugh dammit, I knew that guy was out of league, why couldn't he stay abroad, why'd he have to come here and steal our girls bro''. The second boy replies.
''You have to admit, scoring one like Shiratori in his first month here is crazy, that dude is really a badass''. The third boy comments.
''No way!''. Aira shouts to herself as she stomps around the halls.
She finds the two of the students Togata and her saw last night and she confronts them pointing furiously.
''You! We told you not to say anything! Now I'll report your asses to the principal!''. Aira shouts.
The girl replies worried. ''Oh...Shiratori...It wasn't us promise! It was...''.
''I don't care who it was! If your friends can't keep your mouth shut then you'll suffer for it too!". Aira shouts as she walks off fuming.
''Ughhghg! My reputation is ruined! Now I'm going to be known as the school skank that Togata just had his fun with! UGHGHG!''. Aira groans to herself as she stomps away. ''I have to set things right somehow!''.
''Aira Shiratori?...''. A girl calls out from behind her.
Aira turns around still fuming. ''Yeah what?''.
''I'm...Sorry to meddle in your personal business but...What's your relationship with Togata?''. The girl asks nervously.
''Huh?''. Aira asks.
The girl stands in front of her staring her in the eye. ''It's just that there are tons of rumors going around, people say they see you together all the time and that last night...''.
''You shouldn't believe everything people tell you''. Aira replies calmly with a hand on her hip.
''So you mean you're not dating Togata?''. The girl asks.
Suddenly the halls fill with people pretending just to pass by to hear the juicy gossip.
''HELL NO! See! He is not my type! Never will be, hear me! He's a selfish! Attention hogging! Playboy!''. Aira shouts.
''He isn't like that! How can you even say things like that when you barely know him!''. The girl replies defending Togata.
''I don't need to! I know guys like him, so you and your other girlfriends can go pursue him all you want because we are not dating! I would never! And I mean never! Like that shit-stain of a face and that ass-wipe he calls a personality!''. Aira shouts as she walks away.
The girl is a bit angry but is relieved to hear that as she skips off holding her phone close.
''Well that's settled, now no one would ever believe those dumb rumors''. Aira says happy with herself as she walks away. ''Wait...Wasn't she holding her phone oddly close?''.
Aira taps into her obscure skill. [Super Gossip Memory].
''Zoom and enhance!''. Aira says to herself as she closes her eyes.
She sees the girl was recording her with her phone.
''That damn bitch! I should have known! UGH! She's probably heading straight to Togata! And knowing that bastard he'll want to strike back! I have to say my side of the story!''. Aira says walks faster heading to Togata's class.
''Togata! The debate is in two days! Please I'm begging you review my speech! I don't want to go up there looking like an idiot!''. Riku asks.
''No can do Riku, I'm sorry you're on your own for this one, I'm just a figure backing you up...If that's not enough you're going to have to show everyone why you're the best choice for class rep. So...Goodluck to you''. Togata says with a smile as he walks off. ''Bye Ren''.
''See ya Togata''. Ren replies.
''TOGATA! I'M BEGGING YOU I NEED THIS!''. Riku cries dramatically as the other boys in the class laugh.
Ren covers his mouth. ''Don't listen to him byee!!''.
Togata just waves with a laugh as he heads towards his workshop.
On the way the girl stops him as she stands in his way ''Togata...''.
Togata looks over at her. ''Hi...''.
''I know you don't know me but I'm Mira, nice to meet you''. The girl says stretching out a hand nervously.
Togata shakes her hand with a smile. ''Nice to meet you Mira...What's the problem?''.
''Well, I just wanted to ask if you and Shiratori are dating...''. Mira asks.
Togata gets nervous hearing it. ''Uh...No''.
''Oh...Well nevertheless I would like you to know what kind of person your hanging out with...She's a total two faced liar and she hates you''. Mira says. ''I was talking to her earlier and she was totally bad mouthing you she called you a playboy''.
''Yeah that sounds like her...''. Togata laughs to himself.
''And she said you had a shit-stain face and a...Ass-wipe personality''. Mira continues.
Togata is stunned. ''Are you...Lying?''.
''No I have proof!''. Mira says as she holds her phone and plays the recording.
Aira just shows up walking behind Togata who can't see her, still listening to the recording.
''AH! She's playing it!''. Aira says to herself worried.
Mira blows raspberries as she sees her.
Togata listens to the recording as he closes his eyes thinking.
''I didn't want to do this but...I just wanted to warn you about the type of person your putting your trust in, especially since I know your not really used to going to a regular school''. Mira says nervously.
''Ughh he's going to totally insult me! But...I'm here to protect myself!''. Aira says to herself as she stands behind him.
''I see...Thanks for bringing this to my attention''. Togata says.
''Is that all!? I mean this proves she totally hates your guts!''. Mira asks.
''See...I have a feeling that the recording you just showed me is fake''. Togata says.
''It's not I swear!''. Mira replies.
''Oh...You know, you were right earlier, I'm not used to going to normal school's but, I know malicious intent when I see it, and sorry for looking over but I noticed a time stamp on the recording so that was like what 10 minutes ago, meaning you rushed over to come show me this as quickly as possible, so looks to me like your trying to purposely bad mouth her behind her back''. Togata explains looking at her with the stink eye.
''I...''. Mira stammers.
''You know Aira is a lot of things but she's not the type to gossip behind someone's back, if she wants to say something she would say it to their face and that's something I like about her''. Togata says.
Aira is stunned as she listens.
''But on the other hand people who go around spreading lies and gossip behind other people's backs, they...I don't like very much do you understand?''. Togata asks leaning in.
He starts to walk away.
''Togata wait! I'm sorry I didn't mean it like that I swear!''. Mira shouts.
Togata doesn't listen as he walks away. ''I'm kind of busy right now Mira''.
Aira smiles devilishly as she blows raspberries at Mira and follows Togata.
Togata heads into the workshop where Tick is.
''Tick, any progress?''. Togata asks as he sits down.
''Quite a lot young master I believe we are ready''. Tick says.
''That's great go tell the others, and try not to be seen''. Togata replies.
''Of course young master''. Tick says as he flies out with a bow.
Togata continues working on the project as Aira walks in bag slung over her shoulder and a hand on her hip.
Togata looks over with a smile. ''Hey...Boss lady, you always seem to know where I am don't you?''.
''It's not that hard to figure out, especially when your so predictable''. Aira brags.
''Uh huh''. Togata replies with a smile. ''So what's up?''.
''I heard everything''. Aira says.
''What?''. Togata asks.
''I heard the conversation between you and that Mira girl''. Aira says as she stands there.
''Oh you did? Well she was bad mouthing you and I couldn't stand for it. She showed a whole fake recording and everything''. Togata explains.
''Yeah thanks for that but...I just want to tell you before you hear it from someone else. That recording wasn't actually fake...I really said all of that''. Aira says unflinching.
Togata stops what he's doing as he turns around. ''You did?''.
''Yeah''. Aira replies.
Togata turns back to what he's doing casually. ''Oh, well...Thanks for the heads up I guess...I'll go apologize to Mira''.
''What, you're gonna apologize to that bitch!? She was totally trying to make you reject me or something''. Aira shouts.
''Yeah but I called her recording fake and that's just not true, I didn't only call her a gossip, I accused her of forgery, so I'll have to apologize for that at least''. Togata says calmly.
''But she is a gossip''. Aira says.
''Everyone gossips once in a while I mean you just did''. Togata says.
Aira immediately responds. ''That was different we're...''.
''We're...What?''. Togata asks.
''Don't pretend like you don't know, we're teammates and I'm your leader, we're closer than you and that skank Mira, unless you say otherwise?''. Aira says saving herself.
''Yeah, guess so, teammates. By the way go over to Momo's later, we need to talk with everyone, I and Tick have a way to find Vamola's planet''. Togata says as he doesn't turn from what he's doing.
''Great...See you there''. Aira says as she stands there.
''Mmhm''. Togata says.
Aira stares at him knowing something's up.
''See you there''. Togata says still not turning around.
''Yeah...''. Aira replies as she leaves the workshop.
