A few minutes later Eli did not say anything. He only nodded sideways. After a short pause, he spoke again. "I understand, Sister. I will do my best. I'll definitely make sure they are all safe."
Selena studied him for a second longer, as if weighing something invisible, then stood.
"Good."
She left the restaurant without looking back.
Eli remained seated.
While there were still a few hours to prepare, Eli briefly sorted out his thoughts and came up with a rough plan.
Back home, Eli locked his bedroom door.
He sat at his desk, opened his laptop, and launched a browser that looked completely ordinary.
The screen turned black.
He typed a string of characters; meaningless to anyone watching and then pressed enter.
A small flame icon appeared in the center.
Then the system began to run.
Encrypted channels appeared on the screen, masked nodes and routed signals.
It had been a long time.
He typed a few things then a symbol of fire popped up and the browser started running.
