Chapter 10 - Nightmare And Desire

"Keith! Keith!! Keith!!!" a voice called out, slicing through the darkness that enveloped Keith's dreams. It was a voice that seemed to come from a distance, yet carried an urgency that demanded attention. Keith's mind struggled to break free from the clutches of sleep, and slowly, his eyelids fluttered open.

"Don't give up! You have to be strong, stronger for them," the voice continued, now clearer but still shrouded in an air of mystery. It was as if the speaker knew something Keith didn't.

"What's happening? He isn't responding," another unknown voice chimed in from the background, its tone tinged with concern. Keith's senses were still muddled from sleep, and he tried to make sense of the voices and the strange scenario that seemed to be unfolding around him.

"We need to pull him out quick. Give me the knife. He needs to die to live," the first voice declared, its words chilling Keith's bones. Panic surged through him as he struggled to comprehend the meaning behind those words. Why would someone need to die to live?

In the blink of an eye, the darkness around Keith seemed to intensify, and suddenly, he felt a searing pain in his chest. It was as if reality itself had shifted, and his mind was unable to distinguish between dream and wakefulness. He gasped, a strangled cry escaping his lips, and his body jolted with the sensation of something sharp penetrating his chest.

Suddenly, Keith woke up sweating, his heart pounding like a drum in his chest. He just had a nightmare, a vivid and haunting one that left his thoughts in disarray. He opened his eyes, only to find himself lying outside the room Olivia had put him in.

He stood up immediately, a surge of adrenaline rushing through his veins. The nightmare's lingering effects still clung to him, and he instinctively needed to move, to shake off the remnants of that chilling dream.

"Young lad. Don't worry. It's a sleepwalk. Had a nightmare?" came a voice from nearby. Keith turned to see Kruger, a member of the Red Wolves, who happened to be passing by the room. Kruger's weathered face bore an expression of understanding as if he had seen his fair share of unsettling dreams.

Keith nodded in response, his throat dry as he tried to find his voice. "Well, you are gonna have a lot of that. They are called episodes. Every werewolf has them in the first few weeks of the transformation," Kruger explained gently, his tone offering reassurance.

"Don't worry. You'll be fine, young lad," Kruger added with a faint smile.

"Do you wanna join in?" Kruger's voice carried a hint of camaraderie. "The boys are going for a run in the woods. It would help shake you off that thingy you are feeling," he proposed, extending an invitation to Keith.

"I'm okay," Keith answered sluggishly, his energy drained from the emotional turmoil of the nightmare. As Kruger disappeared from view, Keith's legs suddenly felt weak, and he stumbled back into the room. The sound of running water caught his attention, and he froze. Last he remembered, he was the only one staying in the room. His senses were on high alert as he tried to piece together the situation. The fog of his nightmare was slowly lifting, replaced by a growing sense of unease.

"Who could have been in the room with him?" Keith's mind raced, each possibility spinning a new thread of anxiety. His hands clenched into fists as he stared at the closed door of the bathroom. The events of the nightmare still haunted him, and now, a new wave of uncertainty washed over him.

He went closer to the bathroom door and peeped and to his surprise, he saw a female hand lying on the bathtub, her body immersed in the water. Immediately, he rushed in to save the person but it was Olivia who was just having a bath.

"Hey, you are awake," Olivia said, surprised to see him.

"I thought....." Keith stammered.

"That I was drowning? No, it's just my thing. I stay in the water when I want to meditate. I'm sorry if that scared you. Are you okay?" Olivia said, in a concerned tone.

"Yeah..." Keith said, now distracted by her thighs that had been lifted out of the water slightly.

"Can you grab me the towel, please?" Olivia said softly. She noticed Keith's attention was drawn to her body. She winked at him and his hair stood as she laid her wet palms on his.

"Keith, the towel!" she reminded.

"Oh, I'm sorry" Keith apologized, reaching for the towel that was hanging just at the door knob.

Her eyes rolled at him. Her blonde hair gave a nice aroma as she swirled it across her neck splashing water on Keith's face. Keith smiled and in that spot was an electrifying moment between the two. Olivia could notice the standing hairs around Keith's body and she leaned in to give a kiss on the cheek but Keith didn't let go. He pulled her close and went in deep for a French kiss. Olivia kissed him back and Keith moved his arms around her waist with her towel on. Her lips pressed on his consistently and she moaned lightly as Keith caressed her thighs underneath the towel.

As Keith and Olivia shared a passionate kiss, their bodies pressed against each other, the room filled with undeniable tension. The steam from the shower enveloped them, intensifying their connection. Time seemed to stand still as they lost themselves in the moment, their desires intertwining.

But suddenly, a loud crash echoed from the hallway, shattering the intimate atmosphere. Keith and Olivia broke apart, their hearts racing in alarm. Keith quickly released Olivia, his face flushed with a mix of desire and concern.

"What was that?" Keith whispered, his voice laced with worry.

"I don't know," Olivia replied, her eyes wide with apprehension. "Stay here, I'll go check it out."

Keith nodded, his mind still reeling from their passionate encounter. He watched as Olivia hurriedly wrapped herself in the towel and slipped out of the bathroom, her footsteps fading into the distance.

Left alone in the steam-filled room, Keith's heart pounded in his chest. He couldn't stop thinking about the kiss, about the undeniable chemistry between them but as he stood there, a sense of foreboding washed over him. Whilst in that state, a strange voice echoed from outside the room

"What are you doing in there with him?" the voice spoke.
