Chapter 3 - **SEASON 1 — EPISODE 3**### **“The Forbidden Bond”**

**SEASON 1 — EPISODE 3**

### **"The Forbidden Bond"**

Isha barely remembered falling asleep after Lucian vanished into the night.

His last words kept echoing in her head:

**"I'll watch over you tonight."**

The idea should've scared her.

A vampire watching her from the shadows?

But instead… it comforted her.

She kept replaying the moment he held her by the waist, pulling her behind him with effortless strength.

The coldness of his touch.

The tension in his jaw.

The way his breath caught when their eyes met.

Nothing about Lucian felt like a monster.

Everything about him felt like danger… wrapped in the kind of tenderness she didn't expect from someone who could kill with a flick of his wrist.

When she finally woke up the next morning, sunlight spilling into her room, she half-expected him to be outside her window again.

He wasn't.

But something else was.

A single black rose.

Placed on her windowsill.

Fresh.

Blooming.

Familiar.

Isha's breath hitched.

Lucian.

Her fingers brushed the petals—soft, delicate, impossibly cold.

There was no note… because he didn't need one.

He was saying:

**I kept my promise.**

And maybe…

**I'll keep promising.**

Her heart warmed—and ached.

### **At College**

Isha thought she could pretend nothing happened.

That she didn't meet a vampire.

That her wrist wasn't glowing last night.

That the most impossibly beautiful boy she had ever seen didn't fight a monster to protect her.

But pretending became impossible the moment she walked into class.

Everyone stared.

She frowned, confused.

Her friend Priya ran toward her.

"Isha! Oh my god! Why didn't you reply? Where were you last night? Why do you look so pale?"

"I'm fine," Isha mumbled. "Just tired."

Priya squinted.

"You look like you saw a ghost."

If only it was a ghost.

A ghost wouldn't have silver eyes that glowed.

Isha was about to respond when something pricked the back of her neck—

a sensation she now recognized too well.

Being watched.

She slowly turned.

Her heart almost stopped.

**Lucian.**

Standing behind a tree outside the classroom window, partially in shadow, hands in his coat pocket.

Unmoving.

Unbreathing.

Watching only her.

As if the entire world didn't exist.

Her lips parted slightly.

He inclined his head—just barely.

A silent greeting.

A silent check: *Are you safe?*

Heat rushed to her face.

Priya followed her gaze.

"Wait, who are you staring at…?"

But the second Priya turned, Lucian vanished.

Isha blinked.

Of course he had.

Priya frowned.

"Girl, are you okay? You look like you're hallucinating hot men behind trees."

Isha choked.

She really couldn't explain.

### **The Library Encounter**

Classes felt endless.

Isha finally escaped to the library, hoping for quiet.

Her mind was too full.

Her wrist tingled faintly the entire time—as if reacting to someone.

And she knew who.

She sat at a corner table, took a deep breath, and whispered to herself:

"Lucian won't come here. This is the safest place."

Wrong.

A shadow moved beside her.

She jumped.

He appeared silently, sitting across from her like he belonged there.

Like he always sat across from her.

Lucian.

Silver eyes locked on her.

He didn't speak.

He didn't need to.

Her heart hammered.

"I—I thought you wouldn't come here," she whispered.

He tilted his head slightly.

"You were nervous."

"How do you know?"

"I felt it."

Her breath caught.

"You… felt my emotions?"

He nodded once.

"It's a bond effect. Early stage."

"Bond?" she whispered, stunned. "What bond?"

Lucian hesitated.

Something cold, painful flickered in his expression.

"It shouldn't exist between us," he said softly.

Isha swallowed hard.

"But it does?"

Lucian looked at her wrist.

"It awakened the moment you touched me."

She felt her pulse stutter.

"So what does this bond… do?"

Lucian leaned forward—just slightly—but it was enough to send warmth flooding through her.

"I can sense when you're afraid," he murmured. "When you're hurt. When you're… thinking about me."

Isha's face went crimson.

"I am *not* thinking about you—"

Lucian raised one brow, looking far too amused for someone who claimed to be dangerous.

"You thought about me last night," he said calmly.

She nearly choked on her own breath.

Lucian's voice softened, dropping to a tone that felt like a whisper against her skin.

"And again this morning."

Her hands shook slightly.

How was she supposed to breathe around this man?

"You're impossible," she whispered weakly.

He leaned back, expression shifting again—colder, conflicted.

"And you are in danger."

The warmth died instantly.

"Kalen," she whispered. "He said something about a Council—"

Lucian's eyes hardened.

"You need to listen carefully, Isha."

She nodded slowly.

Lucian continued, voice low.

"The Vampire Council considers humans marked by prophecy as threats. You especially."

"Why me?" she asked. "What did I do?"

He shook his head.

"You were born."

"That's not an answer."

His jaw tightened.

"Your birthmark represents a soul that can alter the fate of vampires. You can break bloodlines. Or strengthen them."

"I don't understand—"

Lucian exhaled, closing his eyes briefly.

"Isha… you are the only human whose destiny is tied to mine."

Her breath stilled.

"You mean… like fate?"

Lucian opened his eyes.

Silver.

Burning.

Pained.

"Yes."

She felt her heart do something stupid and breathless.

"But that doesn't mean," Lucian added quietly, "that I'm allowed to have you."

Her heart shattered a little.

"Allowed?" she whispered.

Lucian looked away.

"I am wanted dead by the Council. Anyone close to me will be used, hunted, or killed."

A lump formed in Isha's throat.

"So you'll just keep pushing me away?"

"Yes."

It hurt more than it should.

"But," Lucian added quietly, "I will still protect you. Even from a distance."

Isha looked at him for a long moment.

Then—

Someone sat beside her.

A boy.

Tall.

Human.

Familiar.

"Hey Isha," he smiled. "Didn't see you in class earlier. You okay?"

Lucian stiffened instantly.

His aura turned sharp.

Cold.

Possessive.

The boy didn't even glance at Lucian—he couldn't sense him.

But Lucian's eyes darkened in a way that made the temperature drop.

Isha swallowed.

"Uh, Rohan… I'm fine."

Lucian's voice slid across her skin like ice.

"Who is he?"

Isha glared. "Just a classmate."

Lucian's jaw flexed.

Rohan smiled awkwardly.

"You look pale. Want me to walk you home?"

Lucian's expression turned murderous.

Isha quickly shook her head.

"No, it's fine!"

Rohan left after a minute—but Lucian didn't relax.

"He shouldn't touch you," Lucian muttered.

"He didn't touch me."

"He wanted to," Lucian said flatly.

She stared at him.

"Are you… jealous?"

Lucian froze.

Completely.

Utterly.

Then his voice dropped to a whisper.

"I am not allowed to be jealous."

"But you are," she whispered.

Their eyes met—

a spark of something forbidden flaring between them.

Lucian leaned in—

Just inches from her lips—

Then suddenly—

He vanished.

Isha gasped, heart racing.

She didn't know what scared her more:

The Council hunting her…

or how desperately she wanted Lucian to kiss her.
