CHAPTER 0 : The 50 Lakh Invitation
My name is Vikram Meghal.
22 years old. Completely ordinary guy from Andheri East, Mumbai.
We live in a 30-year-old 1BHK chawl where the lift has never worked even once.
Dad is a retired bank clerk, mom manages the house, younger brother is in 10th standard.
Every month we somehow manage to arrange 25–30K for EMI, bills, and his fees.
Last night at 2:17 AM, a message changed everything.
Sender: F.O.
Message:
7 AM sharp.
Location attached.
Salary: ₹50,00,000 per month.
That's it. No company name. No job title.
I thought it was a scam… but still woke up at 5:30 without an alarm.
Wore the only decent shirt I own (still had the Diwali price tag on it), started my old scooter, and rode through the rain towards Juhu.
The road ended at a 20-foot black iron gate.
No guards. No nameplate.
The moment I stopped, the gate opened by itself.
Inside: a 500-meter driveway lined with cherry blossom trees.
Pink petals covered the entire road like a carpet.
The main door was already open.
A butler in a perfect black suit and white gloves stood there, expressionless.
He gave a small bow and said:
"Mr. Vikram Meghal. The Master is waiting."
I stepped inside.
The hall was so huge my footsteps echoed.
All lights were off except one golden spotlight falling on a throne.
On the throne sat… a dog.
A cream-golden Shiba Inu.
Wearing a ruby crown.
Diamond collar around his neck.
Eyes glowing red.
The butler spoke softly:
"Master Fluffy Oberoi.
Net worth: 42 billion US dollars.
From today, you are his personal assistant.
Salary: 50 lakh rupees per month.
Rule one: The Master never speaks.
Rule two: Whatever the Master wants… happens."
I opened my mouth. Closed it. Opened it again. No sound came out.
The butler placed something heavy in my shaking hands – the diamond collar.
It was cold and heavier than my entire life's savings.
"First task: polish it perfectly.
One scratch… and you will not leave this palace alive."
Fluffy just stared.
Didn't blink even once.
I understood.
This wasn't a job.
This was a contract.
And the contract… was already signed.
(To be continued…)
