Chapter 1 - Part 1--Objects Of Desire

Cyrus High School was at least fun and your ordinary, typical school to go to. But then, this school changed into something new and unnatural. This is a conversation between the catalyst and his servant. They're in a room at one table.

"Sir. LG What do you want me to assess?" The servant sits on his chair and talks to his boss. There's silence. Then his boss then speaks.

"I have no knowing what you will assess yet. But it will be fast, sharp, and a genuine play on events that are good for this world, my assistant." Sir. LG said.

"Very well, my glimmery." The servant said. "You've had a great time, Fisher. But you've always been abusive to your former, formal family. Yes, I'm evil, but I'm not that evil. I'm never abusive to anyone. All I have is one goal. To defeat my enemy. And that's a good goal, isn't it?" Sir LG replied.

"It's impressive and filled with diligence, sir." Fisher said. "I liked your assistance. But you're not good enough. You've gotta go." "But Ed-" "Don't call me by my real name!" Sir. LG said, evilly and boldly. "Whatever. This is terrible and cruel when literally I've done everything for you, sir."

"I don't care, Fisher Silverthorn. You gave everyone in your life a hard time. Time to give you a hard time. Time to go straight to the depths of hell!.." "No, please!" Fisher said, pleadingly.

"I have no remorse for doing this." Sir. LG stated. Sir. LG instantly casts a throwhell spell. The throwhell spell brings you straight to hell and Fisher will definitely be treated there now. No, Edgar Edol didn't possess Fisher. This is himself and only himself.

Fisher did it all by himself because of his evilness and abusiveness as a person. For this very evil sin, he will be put to hell.

Everyone liked going to Cyrus High School every day. But then, something strange happened for some reason. One day, on February 10, 2017. Every 20 students in school started to fall unconscious then vanished suddenly. Those students were actually mysteriously turned into many objects at Cyrus High School.

Some of the students were even turned into food. It was torture. "Mateo, hurry up or you're going to miss the bus!" his mother called from the kitchen.

The 17 year old, Mateo Gilbert sighed, tying his shoes in the hallway. "Coming!" he shouted back, grabbing his bag and rushing out the door. "Bye, Matt! See you later, pal.." Lucian, his 29 year old, big brother said as he sat on a chair, on the front porch and waved. "Yeah..see you later, Lucian."

As he stepped onto the bus, he noticed the unusual tension in the air. The chatter was quieter than usual, and the kids who usually greeted him with smiles and looks of fear and confusion on their faces. He took his seat next to Gael Hanson, who was staring out the window, a pensive expression etched on his face.

"You okay?" Mateo whispered, placing a hand on Gael's shoulder. Mateo and Gael are the same age. Their birthdays are coincidentally in the same month. Gael turned to him, eyes wide. "I heard something last night, Mateo. Something about the school...about us." Mateo frowned. "What do you mean?"

Gael leaned closer. "It's like...I can hear the whispers of the objects around me. The desks, the books, the water fountain...they're all talking about the disappearances." Mateo's heart skipped a beat. "What are they saying?" "They're scared, man," Gael replied, his voice shaking. "They know something's going on, something bad. And I think they know who's doing it."

On February 10, 2017, students at Cyrus High School started vanishing and turning into objects, causing fear. Mateo Gilbert notices the tension and his friend Gael shares his eerie experience of hearing whispers from the objects, hinting at a connection to the disappearances.

Now it's February 12. It's chaos. Mateo's eyes searched the bus, landing on the water bottle in Gael's hand. "What do they know about you?" Gael clutched the bottle tightly. "They don't say much, just that I'm safe for now. But I can't shake this feeling that it's only a matter of time." Mateo nodded, his thoughts racing. As the bus pulled up to the school, he made a decision.

"Listen, Gael, I'm going to find out what's going on. I can't stand by and watch our friends get turned into...stuff." Gael's grip on the water bottle tightened. "Be careful, Mateo. If it's what I think it is..." Mateo gave a solemn nod. "I will. I promise."

The school day began with a sense of unease that had grown heavier with each passing bell. During lunch, Mateo decided to investigate. He made his way to the library, a place he had heard whispers about from the objects. The room was eerily silent, except for the occasional rustle of pages turning in the abandoned books. He approached the librarian, Mrs. Milton, who was known for her vast knowledge and her uncanny ability to find anything. "Mateo, can I help you with anything?" she asked, not looking up from her work.

Mateo took a deep breath. "I need to know about the disappearances. What's happening to the students?" Mrs. Milton paused, her eyes meeting his with a knowing look. "I've seen some things, heard whispers from the pages of these books," she said, her voice low. "It's not safe to speak of such matters here. But I can give you a clue." She slid a book titled "The Elemental Enigmas" across the counter. "This might have some answers."

Mateo picked up the book, feeling the weight of its secrets. He scanned the pages, his eyes widening as he read about ancient spells and curses that could manipulate the very fabric of reality. He felt a chill run down his spine, realizing the gravity of the situation. This was no ordinary school anymore; it was a battleground for some unknown force.

As the final bell rang, Mateo hurried to the water fountain, eager to check on Gael. He found him unchanged, the cool liquid flowing from the fountain's spout seemingly unaffected by Gael's presence. "I've been reading," Mateo said, his voice urgent. "I think I have an idea of what's happening." "Well, you need to tell me now..because I think I'm gonna turn. My stomach feels funny.." Gael said as he dropped his book and quivers. "What? No, Gael! You can't be turning into one now!" "I am. Please make a cure quickly. Before it's too late and we're stuck as being these objects forever!"

"No..I can't do this without you, man." "You-..you need to hurry up! More and more people are gonna turn into these objects and be horrified for the rest of their lives!" Gael grunted and started flinching. Then he starts to shrink. His whole body turns into a red sword. Mateo sits there, horrified by what has happened. "No. Why did I lose him already? Why?! This needs a cure and fast!" Mateo picks up the sword that once was Gael. Mateo puts the red sword in his pocket. Mrs. Milton called Mateo's name in his mind. It confused Mateo for a little bit, but since he knew Mrs. Milton is a witch. It makes sense. "Could you come to the library please, Mateo Gilbert?" "Oh no," Mateo thought. "What now?"

Mateo quickly made his way to the library, the book tucked safely under his arm. Mrs. Milton looked up from her desk, a concerned look on her face. "You're the only one who's been talking to these objects, aren't you?" she asked, her eyes piercing into his soul. Mateo swallowed hard. "Yes, I am," he admitted. "Gael...he just turned into a sword." Mrs. Milton's eyes widened. "This is more serious than I thought. Give it to me," she demanded, holding out her hand.

Mateo hesitantly pulled the red sword from his pocket and placed it on her desk. The moment the blade touched the wood, it began to shimmer and spikes started forming on the sides of the sword. Gael's voice echoed faintly from the metal, "Mateo, what happened to me?" "You're a sword but we're gonna fix this."

Mrs. Milton picked up the tiny sword with a look of astonishment. "This is no ordinary spell," she murmured, examining it closely. "The transformation is tied to your very essence, Gael. It's going to take something powerful to reverse it." Mateo felt a flicker of hope. "Is there anything in that book that can help?"

Mrs. Milton nodded gravely. "There are ancient incantations that might reverse the spell. But they require a rare ingredient: unicorn meat." Mateo's eyes widened. "Unicorn meat? What, how are we gonna find unicorn meat? That's impossible!"

"Well, just kill a unicorn. Simple as that. Maybe with this sword." "No! I'm not going to use Gael as a weapon. That's just wrong!"

"You're gonna need to, kid. Sorry, but there's no way you can kill a unicorn with a gun or knife. unicorns are invincible by those." Mateo felt a pit in his stomach. "But I don't want to hurt that unicorn. It's cute and precious. Is there a way to get meat from a unicorn and not kill it."

Mrs. Milton sighed. "There's a way, but it's risky. Unicorns are elusive creatures. They can only be approached by someone of pure love. If you can find one and gain its trust, it might be possible to obtain a single piece of their tongue, which can be used to create a potion to reverse the spell." Mateo felt his hope flicker back to life. "Pure love...but how do I do that?"

Mrs. Milton leaned in, her voice a whisper. "You must seek the tongue of the unicorn, not its body. It's said that a single tear of pure love can persuade them to share their essence." Mateo felt the weight of the task ahead. "But where do I find a unicorn?"

Mrs. Milton closed the book with a snap. "So many questions. There's one in Mr. Patrick's room. He has a tiny unicorn as a pet." she said, her voice filled with awe. "Just ask him if you can pet her. He won't mind. Don't worry. When you cut a unicorn's tongue, it grows back in just 2 hours. It wont hurt her too much. Oh, here's a zip lock bag for the unicorn's tongue." "Thank you, I guess. This is gonna be so disgusting though.." Mateo said while shaking. "I know.." "Ok, got it! I'll go now!" "Bye, Mateo! Make sure to give me a cure too, because I think I'm gonna be one of them too.." "Oh, thanks for telling me." Mateo said while grunting. "I need to go faster with this.." Mateo runs to Mr. Patrick's classroom and opens the door. It's lunch at this point, so he is just sitting on his chair, enjoying his salad.

"Mr. Patrick! Can I pet your unicorn?" "My what?!" Mr. Patrick was confused. "Your pet unicorn, sir." "Oh, you mean Petunia. Sure, she loves company. But why?" "It's a long story, but I need to get a piece of her tongue for a...a science project." Mr. Patrick has a frown on his face and looks concerned.

"What in the world? Why do you need that?! No way!"

The man then takes his tiny unicorn in the cage and leaves the classroom. He tries to run to the bathroom because he actually needed to go at that point. But he falls down and instantly feels a pain in his stomach. "Ah! It hurts..It hurts! No.." Mr. Patrick starts twitching and then fully turns into a burger.

"Wow..that happened. Ok, here's the unicorn. But she's sleeping. I can't do that. But then again, she might not feel the pain if she's sleeping. Here it goes." Mateo said quivering and he brought his red sword out of his pocket.

"Open your mouth." Mateo said as he pointed the sword to the unicorn's lips. A spark forms on the sword. It then strikes on the unicorn's mouth. Petunia forcibly opens her mouth rapidly. "How did that work? I guess this sword is magic.."

Mateo carefully slices a little bit of the unicorn's tongue and finishes the objective. He puts the tongue in the zip lock bag. It was easy since a unicorn tongue is very soft enough to cut.

"Yes! I did it. Now I have to give this to Mrs. Milton." Mateo leaves and the burger that was Mr. Patrick is on the floor, waiting to be turned back. The burger isn't talking yet. But it's going to have the ability to talk later.

A teen boy with curly hair and pale face is walking. His name is Zenrick Holmes. He is wandering around the school halls while the lunch period is still running. He walks with his friend. Out of nowhere, he sees a burger that is on the ground. "Um..a burger?" His friend said. "Yeah, a burger. And I'm gonna eat it. I know that it's probably been left by a classmate. But who cares." Zenrick bends down and grabs it. The burger squirms and tries to move away in shame. But it doesn't work.

"Stop resisting, food. I know you want to be in my mouth." "God..why are you eating that burger, dude.." "Don't judge me, I'm hungry. And I know it's not poisoned." "Don't eat me, Zenrick! Please! I'm your teacher!" "What? Did the burger just talk?" "No. That can't happen, dude. You must be hearing things." "Well, ok." Zenrick brings the burger towards his mouth and puts all of it in, due to it being so small, he could fit all of it in his mouth. Then when he is done, he swallows. "Wow..that was a good burger. You should've tried it, man!" Zenrick said as he brought his hand up and put up a thumbs up gesture. "No, either way. I'm not trying expired burgers." His friend, Cameron said as he walked away. "Wait up, dude! I need to tell you something." Zenrick runs up to him just telling him about a random game they like.

Now, back on track. Mateo goes back to the library with the unicorn tongue. He gives the zip lock bag back to Mrs. Milton. She examines it and opens the zip lock bag. "Yup! This is enough, I think.." She disgustingly brings the bits of the unicorn tongue on the sword. Luckily, the bits of the tongue just look like confetti. Mrs. Milton starts casting a spell on the sword. Then the sword rises up and turns gigantic. It didn't work. Or maybe it did work, just that it needs more time to process the spell.

A teen boy, Luke Adams runs inside the bathroom. He then goes in a stall quickly. He sees another student in there too, hiding. "Are you hiding from the curse too?" Luke recognizes this 16 year old teen as Micheal Grimes.

"Yes, Mike. I am...this is the worst thing to ever happen...why did this happen to our school. Wizards nor witches ever did anything to schools. Why this one all of a sudden?" Luke said, expressly and shakedly.

"I don't know.."

Noelle runs into the bathroom, called the washroom by her, because she likes calling it that. "I have to run! I have to run! This curse is crazy! God! Oloon.." Noelle said as he tried to looking for a stall that was unlocked.

Each one she opened was locked for some reason.

The reason why each one was locked is because each of these stalls had people in them but they all turned into things. Raymond James turned into a paper scroll that said "Raymond James lies here." And his best friend and bro, Andrew Ritreen, a middle school kid, saw everything. "Oh God...bro..why are you...how did you..no.." Andrew said, shocked and sad that his best bro died.

Then, the stall opened magically for him and he left. Luckily, Andrew got to leave the school before he got the curse on him.

Noelle tried to open another stall and it was the last stall, but it was locked, just like the other ones. "Please! Let me in! Please!!" Noelle shouted.

"Should we really let her in. She might be infected by some curse herself.." Micheal said.

"No, dude...just let her in..the curse doesn't work like that, I think..and...I feel something...like an itch and an ich on the back on my spine."

"What are you talking about, dude?"

"I-...I-.." Luke said, deeply. He put his hand on his stomach and grunted.

"Oh my Oloon! Let the pain stop! Jesus! Goodness Jesus Christ! No!!! No!! Aghhhhh!!" Luke agonizes in pain as this is happening.

Micheal has no clue what's happening but it's not good.

"Oh, come on, bro! Are you turning into an object too. Just like those other objects of desire."

"What do you mean, of desire?" Luke replied.

"Well, desire, because every time a human turns into an object, they're a desire for anything and special for a reason because they were a human before.

"Okay...ugh.."

"What's wrong?!"

"Nothing...ugh..agh!! It hurts so much!"

Luke's arms then start to turn black and his face begins to turn into a cockroach's face.

Then, his whole body turns bug-like.

"Micheal! Micheal, please! Help me, Mike! Ahhhhhh!!!" Luke 's voice then turns into a more distorted bug voice.

He climbs out of the stall by climbing up on the door, then going down, on the ground. He sees Noelle and bites her right leg.

"Ouch!" Noelle shouted.

"What was that? And why is my leg bleeding?! Wait..what.." She looks from behind her and sees a scorpian, the size of a human, come at her.

"Ahhhhhh! No!! I have to get outta here!"

"Noelle, I'll save you! I just gotta unlock this first."

"Please save me as slow as you can, prince charming, before this scorpion eats me!". Noelle said, angrily as she was also confused and very scared.

"Okay! Sorry, this is taking too long unlocking this door with this picklock."

"Okay, Mike.." Noelle said, scaredly.
