Chapter 114 - Chapter 114 Terrifying Poison.

Chapter 114 Terrifying Poison.

"Xiao Meng, it's all up to you now. It's your turn to play next. Give it your all for the glory of the academy." Old Ma coldly glanced at Bei Bei on the stage and said solemnly.

A strange light flashed in Meng Hongchen's eyes, and she nodded slightly: "Don't worry, Old Ma. Perhaps I'm not enough to decide the outcome of the whole match, but I will definitely turn the tide and never let Shrek Academy be so smug."

"Yes, I'm counting on you." As he spoke, Old Ma actually bowed slightly to Meng Hongchen.

"Sun Moon Royal Soul Master Academy, third contestant, Meng Hongchen, enter the arena."

Meng Hongchen slowly walked onto the stage. Although her appearance was not as good as Jiang Nannan's, she was still an extremely beautiful girl. Her age was also similar to Jiang Nannan's. Her long hair was an unusual wine red, giving her a special charm. However, her eyes were not red, but a pure ice blue like ice crystals, which was different from her brother Xiao Hongchen.

"The match begins!" The Heavenly Fiend Douluo, standing in the center of the arena, shouted, his figure vanishing instantly.

Bei Bei roared, his feet sliding forward as he charged towards Meng Hongchen at top speed. With the two victories he had just achieved, he had completed his basic mission. Even with his current low soul power, he wanted to deplete Meng Hongchen's strength as much as possible, laying a solid foundation for Ling Luochen's upcoming appearance.

Facing Bei Bei's charge, Meng Hongchen appeared remarkably calm. Unlike her companions, she didn't immediately unleash her soul tool for a ranged attack. Instead, she took small, quick steps, meeting Bei Bei's attack head-on. At the same time, a striking change occurred to her. Her once wine-red hair turned snow-white, and her icy blue eyes instantly turned blood-red, as if dripping with blood.

Anyone who suddenly saw such eyes would be shocked, even terrified.

Leaning forward, Meng Hongchen raised her palms. All her exposed skin, including her face and hands, turned snow-white, pure and translucent like jade. Only her blood-red eyes looked jarring and terrifying. Within her pale palms, two faint blue lights flickered.

At this moment, Meng Hongchen didn't resemble a Soul Instructor at all; she looked more like a Soul Master.

Two yellow, two purple, and one black soul rings pulsed around her delicate body. Simultaneously, a figure slowly emerged behind her—a pure white toad. For a moment, neither the Shrek Academy team members nor their instructor, Wang Yan, could discern her spirit.

The first soul ring shone, and Meng Hongchen extended her palms. A stream of white-tinged blue energy, over a foot in diameter, rushed towards Bei Bei. The stream, faintly tinged with blue, resembled a wisp of mist.

Facing an unknown spirit, Bei Bei naturally wouldn't be careless. His personality was much calmer. His forward momentum abruptly halted, and his third spirit ring, Thunderous Fury, lit up first, followed by his fourth.

Thousands of lightning bolts erupted with Thunderous Fury, reflecting a brilliant blue-purple light on Bei Bei's right arm. The powerful dragon's might shook away all the surrounding raindrops. A resounding dragon roar echoed, and a massive thunder dragon head surged forth. Amplified by Thunderous Fury, this attack was no less powerful than that of a Soul King. The enormous dragon head, over a meter in diameter, pierced through the raindrops and instantly crashed into the thick vortex of white mist.

At that moment, Meng Hongchen made an unexpected choice. She didn't continue forward, nor did she intend to confront it head-on. She touched the ground with her toes, her body springing up like lightning, flying backward at an astonishing speed.

The thunder dragon head's charge shattered the white mist she had released, and then, accompanied by howling thunder and dragon roars, chased after her.

With two consecutive leaps, Meng Hongchen miraculously returned to the edge of the competition platform, and then she suddenly leaped across it.

The Thunder Dragon Head, capable of locking onto its opponent, didn't pursue her body. Instead, it crashed into the protective shield of the arena with a deafening roar.

Thousands of bolts of lightning erupted, forming a massive sphere of light over three meters in diameter on the shield, which lingered for several seconds before slowly dissipating.

Meng Hongchen, however, remained motionless upon landing, neither launching another attack nor doing anything else. He simply stared at Bei Bei on the distant arena.

Bei Bei stood there, his gaze somewhat vacant, his eyes even carrying a hint of disbelief. The light in his eyes was dimming at an alarming rate.

"Thump." Bei Bei's body actually fell straight backward, crashing onto the arena. Even as he bounced back up after hitting the arena, he didn't make the slightest movement.

At this moment, not only were the spectators stunned, but everyone in the Shrek team's stands also rose simultaneously, their faces filled with disbelief.

How could this be? How could this be? It was clearly Bei Bei's Thunder Dragon Head that shattered the opponent's attack. But why did he collapse without making any contact with his opponent?

On the arena, the Heavenly Fiend Douluo Huang Jinxu used a soft starlight to carry Bei Bei's body, slowly flying to the Shrek team members.

Xu Sanshi, lying to the side, struggled to get up to catch Bei Bei, but he was too weak to even lift his hand.

Wang Yan and Huo Yuhao quickly got up and caught Bei Bei.

At this moment, Bei Bei's face was deathly pale, and even more strangely, his skin color was visibly turning white, like the snow-white skin of Meng Hongchen. But it lacked that translucent, jade-like quality.

Bei Bei's breathing also began to weaken.

Meng Hongchen slowly walked to the center of the arena, her cold gaze fixed on the Shrek team's waiting area. She raised her right hand, extending her index finger and pointing at the group in the waiting area. She coldly said, "Next."

Ling Luochen slowly straightened her back; it was her turn to go second for the Shrek team.

"Beibei has probably been poisoned, but his vital signs are normal, so he shouldn't be in any danger." Wang Yan frowned. Since entering Shrek Academy, he had read through various academy texts to study martial souls. The white jade-like toad in front of him gave him a strange sense of familiarity; he knew he must have seen it in some text.

"That little girl's martial soul is the Crimson Ice Toad, and Beibei has been poisoned by the Crimson Ice Toad's deadly poison." Just then, Elder Xuan's voice suddenly rang out from behind everyone.

"The Crimson Ice Toad! That's the deadly poisonous soul beast that generates its special cold poison by alternating between its ice and fire abilities. It seems we're in trouble now." Wang Yan suddenly realized, his face turning grim.

The individual elimination rounds couldn't be interrupted, and Heavenly Fiend Douluo Huang Jinxu had already begun urging them on.

On the competition stage, Meng Hongchen held a delicate level-five milk bottle, calmly recovering her soul power. Judging from her appearance, she was clearly prepared for a long battle.
