Chapter 61 - Chapter 61: Suzuya Yuriko's Game Goes Awry

"Why does Yoshino have to fight Sister Yuriko? We were supposed to go play with Ruiko and the others today."

Early on a holiday morning, Yoshino was dragged by Suzuya Yuriko to this deserted suburban area, supposedly for combat training.

What was going on? If this was necessary, couldn't Shiina just transfer memories to her?

"I just want to see what your combat experience is like, Yoshino. While your ability is strong, if you can't use it, it's no different from not having an ability at all. I won't hold back now. Let me see your power."

With that, without waiting for Yoshino's reaction, Suzuya Yuriko stomped her foot on the ground.

The ground beneath her cracked, and many tiny stones flew towards Yoshino at bullet speed. There was no mercy at all.

'This feeling, what's happening?' Yoshino, whose mind was starting to waver, didn't know what was happening to her; her body began to move on its own.

"She's really not joking at all." Shiina watched the stones, which clearly had more destructive power than bullets. If nothing was done, Yoshino would definitely get hurt. Although Suzuya Yuriko wasn't aiming for particularly vital areas, it would still hurt a lot if hit.

"Pillar of Extreme Cold!" A pillar of ice, large enough to shield Yoshino, rose in front of her. Her palm faced the incoming stones, and after the stones hit the ice pillar, she clenched her fist. A burst of energy exploded within the ice pillar, causing it to detonate. Due to careful control, the exploding ice fragments flew towards Suzuya Yuriko.

"Such methods can't pose any threat to me, who uses Vector Operation."

The flying ice fragments were repelled by a force when they reached Suzuya Yuriko. However, this wasn't the main attack; Yoshino was not behind the pillar.

"This isn't the time to relax~" Feeling a sound nearby, Suzuya Yuriko turned around but saw nothing, only the ground covered in ice, which slowly began to spread. The originally warm temperature started to drop.

"Trying to create a favorable environment for yourself like this? What a naive idea."

She scoffed. This level of trickery was seen through instantly.

"Is it really that naive?" The voice came again, followed by several ice cones flying towards her.

"!!!!" Suzuya Yuriko, who had intended to stay still, suddenly dodged under the sudden sense of crisis.

This wasn't ordinary ice, but ice imbued with a mysterious power, just like last time. She couldn't analyze such ice yet, and if she didn't dodge, she would definitely be hit.

"Oh my, oh my~ Seeing a lolicon in a panic, aren't we? Weren't you very confident?"

Suzuya Yuriko turned to look and saw Yoshino gliding on the ice as if wearing skates. Wherever she glided, ice began to form, creating a natural ice rink.

"Did you know? Miss Yuriko the lolicon, this is our Yoshino's first time ice skating. It seems our Yoshino has a talent for ice skating, doesn't she?" She even began to glide on the nearby walls, which had also frozen over.

"Forming ice blades on her feet to make her shoes like ice skates? And then using her ability to freeze the ground she touches? An excellent strategy. But being able to glide on walls is truly beyond my expectation."

"This is the Path of Frost, you know. It feels a bit like plagiarism, but whatever."

Shiina thought this was a skill from the Ice Master in DNF and Lucio's rollerblades in Overwatch, but no one knew that.

"Thousand Miles of Ice!" Towards the suburban area, Yoshino unleashed one of her strongest skills, instantly freezing Suzuya Yuriko and the ground for a thousand miles.

"Oh oh oh! Now the lolicon can't move, we've won. Yoshino, do you want to pause here?"

Shiina looked at Yoshino, asking. But Yoshino didn't answer it; instead, she turned and quickly glided away. The battle wasn't over yet.

Indeed, the ice encasing Yuriko immediately shattered. Suzuya Yuriko's eyes glowed red with excitement.

"This big sister won't be defeated by you so easily!" Although she said that, if it weren't for the power Yoshino gave her yesterday, she really would have been helpless just now.

"Come on!" Stomping hard on the ground, Suzuya Yuriko charged towards Yoshino at high speed, kicking up gravel. Even with Yoshino's full-speed escape, she was almost caught up to.

"Extreme Cold Ice Rain!" She couldn't let Suzuya Yuriko get close to her yet. She needed to block her steps without harming her.

Watching the rain of ice cones flying madly from the sky, she dodged left and right. As she approached Yoshino, she extended her hand, intending to touch Yoshino. If she did, she would win!

'Why? Sister Yuriko's attack feels like it's with full power? If I'm touched, I'll die from blood reversal, won't I?' Yoshino thought, looking at the hand about to touch her.

'No! I can't! Everyone in Muse is waiting for me, Yoshino, to come back. Sister Nozomi is also waiting for me. Now is not the time to hold back.'

"Boom!" A powerful aura emanated from Yoshino. Suzuya Yuriko, who was about to touch Yoshino, was blown away. Yoshino's clothes fluttered without wind, and blue flames flickered in her eyes. The current Yoshino was filled with immense majesty. She looked coldly at Suzuya Yuriko.

"Hey, hey, hey! This isn't the Yoshino I know, what's going on?" Cold sweat trickled down her face. Suzuya Yuriko felt a huge oppressive force coming from Yoshino.

"spirit dress of God's Authority: Number Four (Elhisanban)"

A soft call gently emerged from Yoshino's lips. Yoshino closed her eyes and leaned her small body back slightly. Cold air emanated from Yoshino. Wrapped in the cold air, Yoshino's white dress began to recede, revealing her small body, and the cold air turned into mist, bursting above Yoshino's head. Tiny drops of water on Yoshino's body formed a thin film, and finally, a green hooded cloak with rabbit ears and a fluffy sphere attached behind appeared on Yoshino.

"Ice Puppet!!!"

She raised her hand high above her head and then slammed it onto the ground. A thick cold light flashed across the ground, rising from it and bringing forth a giant rabbit-shaped puppet, which appeared before Yoshino. Yoshino nimbly leaped onto the rabbit puppet's back, extended both hands, and with a burst of illusory light, the rabbit puppet's eyes suddenly lit up, looking at Suzuya Yuriko, exhaling cold air from its mouth.

This commotion was also noticed by Aiwass in Academy City and by people from the Roman Orthodox Church and the Anglican Church far away in Europe.

Now, the world slowly began to turn.

"It seems I overdid it a bit." She sighed helplessly. However, that attack filled with killing intent seemed to have awakened something in Yoshino. But for now, it was better to deal with this trouble.

Looking at the rabbit-shaped puppet roaring at the sky, was this the true form of that damned rabbit? It seemed she had underestimated it.
