I open both my eyes to see endless seas of grass. Except they aren't green, they are the lightest shade of blue, almost periwinkle, but not quite.
"Chisa!" A voice behind me called.
I turned around, and someone was standing there. I can only see their outline, except for a golden sun symbol that shone brighter that the actual sun. Then, before I could react, a bullet came through the air and pierced the person's chest. As the person fell, I screamed and screamed until I felt my lungs constricting.
"Hel-" I half sobbed, half choked out.
I awoke with a shiver and sat straight up in bed. I turned around, and on the counter was the clock. I groaned. It's still 4 am, and I can hear the faint chirping of birds outside my house.
What was that?
I turned around and walked out of my room. Even though I felt like sleeping, I went upstairs onto the patio and looked out over the view. The city is still sleeping, and I can feel them in their own dreams. I suddenly felt an urge to go and get coffee. But just when I turned around, a shadow came lunging at me. And before I could react, I was falling. To where? I don't know. The last thing I remember before I felt a searing pain behind my skull and darkness on the corner of my eyes was the shadow looking down at me. A sun symbol shone next to green eyes that immediately met mine.
