The day was finally over, night time had struck and the moon was slowly staring to shine through the dark clouds. Rentaro and Ellen were sitting inside Rentaro's apartment room drinking tea. The small square was a window was wide open, the wind's warm breeze blowing through and gently tossing the curtains back and forth. The stars were out and Rentaro was staring up from his place on the floor, his bright red eyes reflecting the glowing light. However they didn't shine, in fact, they were dull and empty. Ellen's face was soft yet calm, her red eyes shining in a way that made the moment wholesome yet unsettling. "Curse the gods who made me." Rentaro thought angrily. "As if I could ever escape them, they just love the site of me suffering and being tortured by my past mistakes." Rentaro sighed, looking away from the window and focusing on his home made Moonlight Tea. Ellen noticed his almost disgusted frown. "Is something wrong?" She asked curiously, raising up her small tea cup and taking a sip. The warm and delicious tea filled her body, it was sweet yet not overly sweet. It was soothing and was just slightly bitter, it smelled like roses and tasted like Carmel and mint mixed together.
Rentaro shook his head calmly. "It's nothing, just thinking of some past nostalgia." He answered roughly, sipping on the tea. He always wondered, no matter how many times he told himself to not think about it. Why was I reincarnated? It was never a question he could answer. He thought it was the gods because they wanted to see him fail again, but maybe that wasn't the case. "No, it can't be the gods. Because if that was the case then anybody here would have the blessings. Did Caspio use his own power to send me to a world without gods? If so, then he really did consider me a friend. How… kind. He really wanted me to change and become a better person. I can't lie, this life has been very fun." The thought coursed through Rentaro like a warm ocean wave. It calmed him. "Hey Rent, I have to go. It's getting very late and we school in the morning." Ellen said calmly, placing down her cup and standing up from the floor. She dusted herself and headed for the door. Rentaro nodded, agreeing with her statement. "Be safe and sleep well Ellen." Rentaro smiled and waved a hand, making a small grin appear on Ellen's face. "Thanks for looking out for me. I'll be fine." She said putting on her shoes and walking out the door.
Silenced filled the small apartment room. Rentaro listen the sounds of Ellen leaving, her steps echoing through the hall way towards the stairs. He waited for about nine minutes, listening. Then finally he stood up, walking over to his bed and taking out a mask, a long black coat with silver buttons and a belt. He then opened another drawer and took out a pair of gloves, a ski mask and a small black hat. After dawning on the attire, he held the expressionless white mask. Staring at it calmly as he slowly put on the mask. Putting on the gloves was the final step and he completely felt like a knew person. He is now "The Docter" and he will become the greatest experimentar ever lived. "Since I need stone and iron for a great-sword, I will easily want to try and use a Ethereal for a sword for the time being. However, I need to hurry as think about making the sword later. First I need to meet up with the Cunning hares." Rentaro thought calmly, thinking about how he will get to them quickly.
Meanwhile with the cunning hares.
"Nicole! When will back up get here! I'm very MUCH! Low on ammo and have a cracked hip!" A grey robot with white hair and a red jacket yelled as he ran away with two other people. A pink hair girl, Nicole, carrying a suit case glanced behind her to look at the grey Android. "I don't know, Billy!" She yelled angrily. The situation was bad, they had just ran into a giant Ethereal and it was chasing after them at mach speed. "Anby! Where too?" Nicole called to a white hair girl wearing a slightly revealing combat suit. Anby could only shake her head. All three were tired and exhausted. As they ran around, turning corners and making sharp turns to try and loose the giant ethereal. But suddenly they ran into a dead end and the giant ethereal came stumbling with a growl behind them. "Where are you, Docter!" Nicole shouted as the Giant Ethereal came charging at them. However a human sized portal came out of nowhere and a figure appear out from it. A loud bang echoed throughout the entire alleyway. The trio looked in awe at what they saw. Standing before them was a white masked, black cladded figure. Their fist was raised, stopping the charging beast.
The figure pushed forward and shoved the large beast away sending it stumbling backward. "I'm here. Sorry for being late. I was caught up with small business." Rentaro also known as the Docter, said calmly as he stood in the narrow alleyway. He dashed forward like an after image and punched the ugly beast in the face sending it flying into a building. "That should stun it for the time being." The Docter muttered, albeit it was muffled and was hard to make out. He turned around towards the group, walking forward and stopping just a couple of feet. "Any broken or damaged body part?" The Docter asked, glancing at each of them calmly. Due to the sudden appearance and attack the small group of temporary stunned. Billy, the grey android, wa the first to answer. "I'v got a cracked hip and a broken rib." Billy said, narrowing his eyes at Rentaro/The Docter. The Docter stepped closer to Billy, placing a hand on Billy's chest and coursing his energy through him. Billy felt like his body was melting and his agonizing screams were loud and painful to hear. "The hell man! That was painful! What did you do!" Billy screamed, his anger evident. "I healed you, Golem. Your ribs and hip should feel better." The Docter simply replied, annoyed by the angry reply to his sweet heal. However the healing was anything but sweet. The Docter turn and looked at Nicole then at Anby. The Docters eyes widen in surpise and almost complete shock. "Anby?" He muttered softly under his breath, which was also covered by the muffled sound. Anby simply tilted her head slightly sideways. "Do you know me?" She asked in a monotone yet calm voice. The Docter simply shook his head. "No, I know of you. Some kid I know was whispering about some girl named Anby. You fit her description and I think the boys name was… ah right. Rentaro." The Docter replied. This news made Anby's widen as she had been trying to search for him for what felt like ages. Yet she never found him. "Do you know where he lives or where he is?" Anby asked calmly. "I have to know where he is." She added. The Docter nodded in a amused way, he was over joyed that Anby wanted to find him. But he needed to keep his other identity as the Docter a secret. "He lives in a apartment complex. I'll send you his address via text later. But first I need to deal with an ugly beast." The Docter simply stated as he heard the roaring sound of the Ethereal. Turning around he could see the large beast rumbling out from the ruble. It shooks its monster like frame and set its eyes on the Docter. "Shoot, I'v already used up 3 minutes of magic and I only got two minutes left. Teleporting and then using heal was necessary. Damn that cursed seal! I'll find a way to break it."
The Docter cursed himself but stood his ground. He dash out from the alleyway, jumping into the air and straightening his hand flat with fingers close together out straight. He then raised his hand and brought it down upon the Ethereal beast. This cause a large explosion that cracked the ground and traveled across the entire area. The crater was about 3 miles long and 4 miles wide, this caused many buildings to collapse or far down. Fortunately nothing hit the Cunning hares.
When the smoked cleared, the Docter was standing on top of the Ethereal with his hand clashing against the strong arm of the beast. The Docter showed no sign of struggle because he then simply grabbed the beasts arm and stomped on it causing the crater to get slightly larger. The Docter then jumped off the beast, landing softly on the ground. "Hmm. Your very resilient. Such determination is almost certainly worth keeping. Hey! Cunning hares, I'm gonna have to change that contract. I'll give you 90% and I'll get the last ten percent. I'm taking this Ethereal home with me." The Docter shouted, his grin slowly widening under the masks. Although he tried to be subtle, it was plainly obvious he was enjoying this battle.
Nicole was abruptly taken aback by the sudden change, but she instantly took advantage of the opportunity. "Deal!" Nicole shouted as The docter's smile grew massively larger than humanly possible. He nodded, raising his foot and stomping the Ethereal until it was temporarily stunned and paralyzed. However just to make sure it stayed he secretly used a magic spell to make the beast fall asleep. Which used up the last of his magic reserves. The fight was over and it only took 2 minutes. He could have beaten the beast in one second but because there were other he could risk the rest getting hurt, not that he cared. The only he cared about out of that group was Anby. Abeit Billy was very interesting to talk with. A golem with human rights and emotions? It fascinated him. The Docter grabbed the unconscious body of the large Ethereal by the arm and jumped off with its massive body, hoping across buildings back towards his home. He felt bad for not saying bye, but frankly he would worry about that another time. Right now he needed to figure out this massive beast.
After reaching a roof top, he looked around. He then hopped left towards a more secluded area of Lumnia square. There was nobody around and pretty much everyone was alseep. He didn't go the normal direction he would usually go too, but this was because he couldn't just waltz in with a large Ethereal on held in his hands like a teddy bear. When he reached a certain roof he looked around, making sure to not be seen by anyone. Jumping down and landing quietly he remembered that he was building his lab inside an old abandoned building. He made sure to make the walls sturdy and firm and clear out the space. Pressing a hidden button on the wall he watched as the brick wall slowly split in half and opened, revealing a dark tunnel. He dragged the Large Ethereal into the hidden base, pressing another button within the opening and watched as the two piston doors slowly closed shut. The room then became pitch black and Rentaro cursed when he had to find the light switch. It didn't take long though and the lights turned on with a low hum. The grey tunnel was short and it lead to a very wide room with a forge and a lab area. "Welcome to the hidden cave, Beast. Today you'll the first to be honored. Your gonna help me with my idea. I'v recovered just slightly enough Magical power to at least turn you into a Chimera." Rentaro shouted loudly within the sound proof room. The amount of equipment inside the large spacious room was massive and incredible. Rentaro placed the large Etherel on a wide open table with rops and large machines with claw like hands and other tools. He then tied the Ethereal down, making sure the thing didn't escape. The next he did was cut his hand and let blood drop into a small power box. Instantly the machines turned on and started their work with tearing off flesh and crystals off the creature, then they started to implant small metal cylinders shaped like bones. Then they gave it shots and cut the body. One machine was a claw in a circular pattern, it opened wide grabbed the Ethereals upper torso and injecting white energy into its body. The sound of flesh stirring and the smell of blood was strong. Roaring turned to agonizing cries as even the Ethereal wanted to die. The body morphed and transfigured, flesh tore apart and reconstructed. Metal bones clanged within its body. The body of the Large Ethereal wiggled and twisted in un human ways.
When the process was complete and the giant Ethereal looked at its self with a mirror the changed was very much reconizable. The ugly Ethereal now had long white hair, knights like aesthetics and body, had a shield in one hand and a long sword in the other, red eyes with a very black body. Its core was deep within its torso. "Yes! Yes! YES! I'v done it and it worked! I'v created a blessed Chimera! Such a achievement mustn't be made known though, I can't risk it. However I shall name you, P.F, Prototype Father." Rentaro exclaimed both excitement and pleasure. The knight looked at Rentaro and kneeled before him. "I shall serve you for all my life until I die." The large armored man said in a deep yet harmonious tone despite the monotone. This caught Rentaro off guard. "You can speak? Beast? I'v never heard of a Ethereal that can speak?" Rentaro asked, intrigued by the sight. The Ethereal knight nodded firmly, still kneeling. "It my be because you gave me your blood that I was able to form my own Vocal cords." The knight said. Rentaro nodded at this as the same thing had happen to him in this other world, but he didn't think it would work here as well. "Well then, F.P. How do you feel being transformed into a new body such as this?" Rentaro asked coldly, narrowing his eyes. The Ethereal knight looked up at his master. "I feel different, like this was my body for thousands of years. I feel like a human yet incomplete." The knight replied steadily. Rentaro smiled, although it was hidden by the mask and ski mask. "Well you are a prototype, so you very much incomplete. However with my work you'll become complete eventually." Rentaro said as he walked around towards the other side of the room, The Forge. He needed to make his great-sword. However he didn't exactly have the right amount of resources. But wait, why doesn't he just take some of the Ethereal Crystal chips off the floor from the earlier experiment. Maybe that could work. So Rentaro worked, sweeping up the black crystals lying about around the wide table and placing them over on a smaller table in the forge area. He spread them out and started his work.
Melting the iron and using stone as a hardening shell was the perfect way he made his sword in his past life. Then he sharpened the dull iron stone harden blade, then he used the black crystals from his Ethereal knight and coded it. The sword was completed. "I shall name you… Zorah." Rentaro said as he lifted up at massive black sword. The black sword shined as the double edged gleamed with readiness. He wanted to try the sword out but, he needed a good reason. "Master, when will you deal with that rodent spying on us?" F.P asked curiously, he was now standing up and pointing a finger at the entrance of the lab. Rentaro thought for a moment, thinking his pros and cons. That car girl was becoming a nuisance, however he couldn't just kill her. No that wouldn't be logical. "No, she's valuable. We could use her to our own benefit. Like use her as a spy for the red fang gang. I'v heard their pretty active and doing some illegal stuff." Rentaro said firmly, shaking his head in decline. F.P nodded his head, not disagreeing but also not agreeing with his master. Rentaro stood, staring at his creation. Then a thought appeared within his mind and he snapped his fingers. "F.P! I have a job for you." Rentaro said with a slow laugh, this made Prototype look up at his master. "Do capture that pesky cat Thiren. I'll need her for a few moments." The Docter continued. This wasn't a request, it was an order. F.P's body stood up instantly. The sudden shift in the creatures eyes was evident, he wanted this and expected this. "Oh? So you have sentience as well? Very good." Rentaro thought, a small chuckle escaping his throat. He stared up at the massive creature that now stood before him. The knight was massive, standing at about ten feet. The knight looked down at his master and nodded his head. "I shall do what you order, My King." The knight said as it walked swiftly away towards the entrance of the piston door. It pressed the button and watched the doors open. When the doors fully opened, the mechanical system letting out a small hiss of steam. The knight stepped out into the clearing. The sounds of his loud, bone crushing foot steps echoed across the secluded landscape.
Nekomata, a cat Thiren but also known as Nekomiya Mana, was staring at the open piston door and watched as a monster like knight stepped out. A Ethereal!? But it looks to human. Plus it's wearing armor. Nekomata continued to stare at the large beast as it stepped out and walked around. She blinked for one second and when he opened her eyes, the Knight was gone. Like it disappeared. Was she imagining things? Then suddenly she was hoisted up and held by the back of her collar. She looked to see who held her and found herself staring into the green glowing eyes of the Ethereal knight. She took out her duel blades and slashed at the knights hands, instantly the Ethereal dropped Nekomata. She instantly backed away from the large, green glowing creature. "It doesn't have a core?" Nekomata thought as she dashed forward, dodging the knights shield attack and slashing the knights back. This continued for two minutes and Nekomata was getting tired, then but pure luck she was able to cut off the Ethereal's right arm. The arm fell to the floor with a hard thud. Metallic would be a good word, as the knight creature was made of just harden crystals with minor green flesh. It had veins an blood, it was green blood. Nekomata stood, panting with gently trembling limbs. "This Ethereal is tough. It's almost impossible to scratch it without getting tired." Nekomata thought as she watched the ethereal knight stare at its sliced off arm. "Impressive. I enjoyed that. However our time is short and my master needs to talk to you." The Ethereal knight spoke gently. Nekomata's widen in horror as the cut limb regrew in a blink on an eye. Like a lighting flash but just faster than you can see it. But moreover was that it spoke, a Ethereal spoke! Has that ever been possible? Before Nekomata could do anything the Ethereal appeared before her and knocked her unconscious.
(Don't mind the fact that even though I gave the Ethereal a name, but I will called it knight here and there. Just remember that.)
F.P's stood before the unconscious Cat, leaning down and grabbing her. Placing her over his shoulder and jumping down from the roof. Landing with a loud thud. The knight walked towards the still opened lab door and went inside. Closing it by pressing the button. "Master, I have brought the Cat as per your orders." F.P stated calmly, laying the still unconscious Nekomata on the wide table.
The Docter clapped his hands, applauding his faithful friend. "Good job, my friend. You'll shall receive your reward. And that is by having a new name." The Docter said, placing a hand on the knights armored leg and staring up at him. The knight shook his head, declining the reward. "I do not require a name, Master." F.P said gently in a polite tone. However the Docter shook his head and laughed. "No, I can't keep calling Father Prototype. Plus, your sentient and have your own thinking. To me, that's being a human. I'll call you Zorath and that's final." The Docter said in a more annoyed tone of voice but still kept his joyful nature. The knight thought for a moment. This wasn't an order to take it, it was an honest request. "He genuinely thinks of me as a human being? How? Is he just naturally nice to other creatures like myself, maybe he'll be the same to the cat girl." Zorath thought in surprise. He then saluted and nodded his head towards his master. "Very well then, Master Rent." The knight said, feeling a new expression he's never felt before becoming this way. Joy. He felt joyful.
The Docter stared the gentle giant and decided to leave his friend to his own devices. Turning towards the now stirring Nekomata, he walked over to her. "Very interesting. A two tailed cat Thiren. I'v seen cat hybrids with six tails, but I guess within this world this is rare." The Docter mused staring over at the unconscious cat Thiren. He was about to reach over and wake her up but was suddenly pulled forward, turned around with a blade at his throat. "What are you and why do you have a Ethereal as a pet!" Nekomata asked, her voice rough and slightly raised higher an normal. The Docter or better know at Rentaro was unimpressed by his move. In fact, he quite enjoyed being held hostage. It's been far too long since he was able to feel threatened like this. "Woah. Calmed down there. It seems we've caught off on the wrong end." Rentaro said, easing his hands and while letting out a small whistle at the sharp blade. "Answer the question." Nekomata stated, bringing the blade closer to Rentaro's throat. "Okay then, I'll answer. First I am a hollow Raider known as the Docter. Second, Zorath isn't a pet. He is a sentient being I created. He can think, talk and fight better than an actual Ethereal." The Docter replied, his voice slightly hoarse but calm. Like he totally wasn't in a dangerous situation. Nekomata was shocked by the reply. "You… named him?" Nekomata said, surprised and slightly concerned. "Well I couldn't just call him Knight or Prototye. I had to give him something." The docter's answer was absolute and firm, no hesitation. Nekomata was even more shocked and her gripped softened, this gave Rentaro an opening. He instantly grabbed Nekomata's arm and threw her off of himself sending her tumbling on the floor. "Ahem. Now that we are standing and not on a table. Can we talk calmly now?" The Docter asked, mildly amused as Nekomata got up quickly from the floor. "She's agile and quick. How interesting. So not all Thirens are the same. Some are different then others." The Docter thought, he had become very interested in the different Thirens that existed within this world. He'd love to meet more. Nekomata kept her blades in her hands as she swiftly got up from the floor. "Alright then. In what way do you want to talk to me, huh?" Nekomata asked calmly.
