As I'm sitting here letting my mind wonder seamlessly I thought about all the moments I've been a part of throughout my life. By definition moments can mean a brief period of time or importance and the latter is what I think about all the time. The importance of taking advantage of the moments we are given everyday, second, minute and hour of each day can shape our very future. I say that to say this from the time we were born that's a moment we don't remember, that's a moment we are pure and innocent with no flaws or sin, nothing but pure innocence, that's our true defining moment when we were given life to one day make the most of that very day we laid eyes on this earth. If we all knew that when we were born that was our time to be the best versions of ourselves and follow Jesus example during his time on earth, how would we move through our lives then? How would we approach the decisions looking back now, what message will we give those who need us, how would you react to confrontations?The broken people we meet, the homeless and beggers, how would we move, how would we react….. would it be different than how we do now as adults, would we be better human beings in the crucial moments that occur in our lives or would we make the same decisions we've made already. I know I've squandered plenty of moments, wasted an abundance of opportunities and I ask myself now how could I know? How could I know about the meaning of moments when I was first given life, how could I know as a kid to show love and compassion to everyone, and that doing bad is not good and doing good is the way you should always strive to be…. how could I. Thinking about it now I would say...when I did get to know about God and Jesus sacrifice and what they've given us, when I did learn about moments, I should have taken advantage and started laying the ground work for my future. We have to remember it's no such thing as too late to change our ways to do right. It's never too late to treat people with respect, love and compassion. And it's never too late to take advantage of the moments and opportunities given to us because where there's a will there's a way. Remember where we've started, what we've done and what we've overcome to get to this point. So from now to the end of time take advantage of those moments you're given no matter how small or insignificant you may feel it is a moment is a moment and in my case it has been a journey inside this mind of mine.
