Infernape stomped the ground with such force that the bedrock shattered into a cloud of lime dust. As the Elite Four-tier monkey unleashed a sweeping inferno, the heat vaporized the debris and sent the aggressive Graveler group crashing into a distant rock wall.
One encounter. That was all it took. The scrawny Chimchar that once hid in the shadows had returned as a Fire God.
The tribe of Machoke stared in disbelief at Infernape's back. Could this powerful warrior truly be the stunted child they had protected? Reshiram descended from the sky, and Kaito stepped off. "That's right. He's back to see you all."
The Machoke were moved. They knew how much effort it must have taken to overcome a congenital disadvantage. Infernape smiled, bumping fists with his old family. Kaito made a proposal: "Come with us. I have a safe territory where you can live happily, without constant battles for survival."
The Machoke agreed instantly. Before leaving, the leader handed Kaito an abandoned Pokémon Egg they had found. "Every life deserves a chance," Machoke gestured. Kaito nodded, struck by their compassion. He wondered what new life would hatch from this resilient little egg.
Winter is Coming
Back at the farm, the morning sun illuminated a hillside covered in tender green shoots. The large-scale Friend Flower project was thriving under the care of Alolan Dugtrio and Flabébé.
At the villa, a chilly breeze rustled Leafeon's leaves. Kaito stood on the porch with a groggy Mime Jr., realizing winter was finally arriving. Inside, Lopunny and Cinccino had prepared breakfast. Lopunny, still shy about her new evolution, tried to hide behind the much shorter Cinccino—an impossible feat that left the chinchilla looking huffy.
Bunnelby hopped onto his chair, spinning around to show off his new prize: a custom, thick red-and-gold Champion's Outfit woven by Leavanny. He looked remarkably handsome, and he knew it.
Arina walked in with a bucket of Miltank milk, her face glowing. Piplup followed her, hands on its hips, acting as if it had done all the heavy lifting. Kaito gave the penguin a thumbs-up, telling it it was "destined for greatness," which sent the proud bird into a happy trance.
The Great Expansion
After breakfast, Kaito gathered everyone in the yard. Volcarona and Leavanny sat together, each cradling an egg—the God's Egg and the new arrival. Leavanny had even stitched a "leaf swaddle" for the new egg using a sturdy leaf from Torterra's back.
"Our family is growing," Kaito announced. "It's time to expand the farm's area."
With the global introduction of the Friend Flower approaching, Kaito envisioned the farm becoming a world-class tourist attraction and a bridge between humans and Pokémon. To do this, he needed to clear the periphery of the forest.
The system notified:
Identity Quest: Expand Farm Area.
Reward: Territory Value, Random Secret Treasure.
The plan was simple: the Pokémon would scout the surrounding woods to invite wild inhabitants to the farm before clearing space for new wooden houses and vast flower fields.
Meganium led the scout team. She soon encountered a pair of Nidoran♂ and Nidoran♀. The male stood bravely in front of his partner, trembling but determined. Meganium released a soothing grassy scent, calming their fears.
"Do you want to join the farm?" she asked softly.
The pair nodded eagerly. They, like many wild Pokémon in the region, had heard whispers of the "Paradise" at the foot of the mountain. The Great Expansion had begun.
Kaito is turning his farm into a sprawling sanctuary! With two eggs nearing their hatching point and the Friend Flower field about to bloom, will Kaito's expansion attract the attention of the League, or will a new Legendary Pokémon be drawn to the farm's massive surge in life energy?
