Chapter 1 - THE SUCCESS BETRAYAL

The morning wind was cool and soft, blowing through the rooftops of Vistania.

Jog Lin, a boy from a small town, walked home from school with his notebook under his arm and a pen behind his ear.

Writing was his life. His pen understood him in a way no one else could.

And he was really good at it.

Fame is a strange thing. It can make people admire you, but it can also make others jealous.

Lin's novels had become famous far beyond his town. People all over Lustania knew his name.

But with fame came loneliness. Friends had drifted away, leaving only his pen by his side.

---

Monday – A Special Day

That Monday, Lin entered the school like every other day.

But something felt different.

Students were whispering, looking at him strangely.

Famous stars had come to the school—but not for themselves. They had come for Lin.

Near the entrance, a newspaper lay on the ground.

Lin picked it up.

The headline caught his eyes:

"Beggs Amount Fast – Lin's Novel Bought by Lord Mozoke of Lustania!"

Even the president of Lustania had bought his book. His fame had reached a global level.

Lin's chest swelled with pride, but also a little sadness.

He had no real friends left.

---

The Party and the Hidden Threat

At school, a small party was organized to celebrate Lin's achievement.

Laughter and cheers filled the air.

But three boys in his class watched from the side.

They were jealous. Very jealous.

"We have a gift for you, Lin. Come with us," one said with a friendly smile.

Lin trusted them.

He followed them to the rooftop, feeling happy and excited.

The wind was stronger up there, cool against his skin.

A small unease ran through him, but he ignored it.

"Close your eyes," said the tallest boy.

Lin did.

He trusted them. That trust would cost him dearly.

The Terrace – Slow Motion Betrayal

Their footsteps echoed softly on the rooftop—click… click… click…

Each step felt slow, like the world had paused.

"Open your eyes," whispered one of the boys.

Lin opened his eyes.

Right in front of him lay a novel he had wanted for five long years.

Its cover shone in the morning sunlight.

His heart jumped with happiness.

"This… this is the best gift of my life," he whispered.

He smiled.

The boys smiled too—but their eyes were cold.

"Let's go down," one said.

Lin stepped forward, toward the edge.

The wind played with his hair.

The world seemed ordinary…

And then…

A push.

It was slow, almost deliberate.

Time felt stretched.

The rooftop shrank.

The wind screamed past his ears.

Lin reached for air that wasn't there.

The boys' smiles twisted into something cruel.

And then—he fell.

---

Death and a Hint of Fate

The ground rushed toward him.

Darkness surrounded him before he could even understand.

His life ended in a heartbeat, betrayed by the people he trusted most.

But fate… or something far greater… would not let his story end.

Jog Lin would wake up again in another world.

A world he did not know. A name he did not yet have:

Han Seojin.

And his pen—the one that had made him famous—followed him.

A goddess had gifted him powers, but he did not yet know what they were.

What could these powers do?

What was waiting for him in this new world?

The answers… would come later.
