She had never regretted any decision she had made.

She did not know Prince Kael's true identity.

She did not know the real reason he approached her.

But she could clearly feel one thing—

When he stood before her, when he protected her, when he spoke to her… His sincerity was real.

Why help him?

Perhaps because he was the first person to stand in front of her without reservation.

Perhaps because he was the first person who saw through her composure and noticed her pain.

Perhaps… it was simply instinct.

Sometimes, the heart's answer does not need logic.

That alone was enough.

For the first time, Prince Kael felt that he could not understand this woman at all.

On ordinary days, she seemed rational, calm, and sharp.

Yet at this moment, the things others valued most—repayment, gain, loss, logic—were worth nothing in her eyes.

"Why… don't you care?" he asked in a low voice.

"Because," Zora answered gently, "you truly helped me, didn't you?"
