Chapter 44 - Chapter 44 Learning

The next day, Tanaka Masao woke up early.

Today was Monday, and he needed to go to school early for morning exercise.

As Tanaka Masao ate breakfast, Kashi shuffled out of the bathroom, yawning.

Tanaka Masao was a little surprised by the way she walked.

Yesterday, he had not held back in teaching Kashi a memorable lesson, but now she looked completely fine.

"Good morning."

Kashi looked up at Tanaka Masao, who had greeted her.

Her body tensed instinctively, clearly remembering what had happened last night.

The reason Kashi was fine now was, on one hand, because she was a demon after all; even without her powers, her physique was better than an ordinary person's.

On the other hand, the blessing of magic allowed her to recover very quickly.

The price, however, was that the magic in the magic stone was once again depleted.

Stimulated by the pain, Kashi analyzed the reasons for the failure of her operation.

It was because she had been too impatient.

She should have spent more time observing Tanaka Masao instead of acting rashly.

However, Kashi was not without any gains.

Through this operation, she gained some understanding of Tanaka Masao's armor.

The armor was composed of countless tiny things, like a liquid, capable of changing shape at will.

This discovery made Kashi even more covetous.

If the armor was custom-made, her body shape was too different from Tanaka Masao's, so she wouldn't be able to wear it, and she would have given up.

But since its form could change, it could perfectly adapt to her.

[Operation plan: First, understand Tanaka Masao's background, and ideally make him a subservient follower.

Second, obtain his armor.

The worst-case scenario is to ask him to help me find magic stones.]

A flood of thoughts ran through Kashi's mind, but in reality, only a few seconds passed.

She responded to Tanaka Masao's greeting.

"Good morning."

Tanaka Masao was momentarily stunned to hear Kashi greet him.

[This guy is so polite?

It must be that beating last night that worked.

Sure enough, the most effective way to deal with a brat is a slap.]

He nodded at Kashi.

"Hurry up and eat breakfast. Mom will take you out to register your personal information later."

Kashi sat down in a chair, picked up a sandwich, and looked a little confused.

"What about you? Why are you up so early? Are you coming with us?"

"I'm not going with you. I'm going to school."

"Human school."

Kashi was a little curious, "What do you all learn?"

"We learn national language, history, foreign languages, mathematics…"

Hearing what Tanaka Masao said, Kashi looked somewhat disdainful.

"You don't learn how to fight or enhance your own strength?

In our Demon Realm, we teach magic, potions, alchemy, and such."

"Oh, we have that here too, but knowledge related to weapons and equipment isn't something everyone can learn.

If everyone knew how to make weapons, society would fall into chaos.

Before, there was a top male gunner in Japan who made his own weapon and successfully assassinated the Prime Minister."

This incident piqued Kashi's interest.

"Assassinated the Prime Minister, and succeeded, no less."

She shook her head, a mocking expression on her face.

"Kukuku~, it seems this Prime Minister not only lacked personal strength, but his protection detail was also quite incompetent.

As the second-in-command of the Demon Realm, I, myself, have encountered countless assassination attempts, but with my powerful strength, I have easily resolved all of them."

The two chatted for a while, and after Tanaka Masao finished breakfast, he got up, preparing to go to school.

Before leaving, he didn't forget to admonish her.

"Kashi, don't cause trouble."

"What causing trouble?" Kashi was quite displeased, "Why are you acting like I'm a worrisome child?"

Although Tanaka Masao really wanted to say that she was exactly that kind of person, in order to stabilize Kashi's emotions, he chose to keep quiet.

On the Soubu High School track, Tanaka Masao saw that familiar figure and went up to greet her.

"Good morning, Xuezhixia Classmate."

Yukinoshita Yukino nodded slightly.

"Good morning. You're very punctual. It seems the holiday hasn't made you lazy."

Tanaka Masao was quite proud of this.

"Of course. Don't underestimate my perseverance."

"Then let's begin."

"Starting so soon? We haven't seen each other for a few days. Shouldn't we talk about our holiday life or something?"

Hearing this, Yukinoshita Yukino didn't give Tanaka Masao a good look.

"I'm not interested in your holiday life. As for my holiday life…"

Yukinoshita Yukino said, looking at Tanaka Masao, and seeing that she had successfully piqued his interest.

A mischievous smile appeared on her lips, "I don't want to talk about it either."

"Ah, how could you be like that?"

Tanaka Masao had originally wanted to know how Yukinoshita Yukino spent her holiday, and he was immediately greatly disappointed.

"Stop talking nonsense and start quickly, or are you trying to stall for time now?"

"Okay, I'll start."

Tanaka Masao began to run around the track.

Because he had rested for two days, the fatigue from a week of continuous training had completely disappeared.

And the training was effective; Tanaka Masao not only ran faster but also lasted longer.

It was only after running over a thousand meters that his speed began to decrease.

Yukinoshita Yukino watched Tanaka Masao's performance with great satisfaction.

As his physical strength improved, Tanaka Masao would have more energy for training, and he would lose weight faster, entering a virtuous cycle.

An hour later.

Tanaka Masao finished his morning exercise, panting.

He came before Yukinoshita Yukino and asked.

"Xuezhixia Classmate, have I gotten stronger?"

Yukinoshita Yukino folded her arms and nodded very calmly.

"Hmm, you've gotten a little stronger."

Before Tanaka Masao could be happy, she struck him down.

"But you're still far from a normal level. So, Tanaka-kun, please try hard to become a normal person."

"Hey, hey, why do you say it as if I'm not a normal person?"

Facing Tanaka Masao's complaint, Yukinoshita Yukino's answer was quite calm.

"If we look at the world's currently recognized standard human body weight, you are indeed not within the range of a normal person."

Tanaka Masao was speechless, "If you look at it from that perspective, then you're absolutely right."

Watching Tanaka Masao being deflated, for some reason, Yukinoshita Yukino always felt a sense of satisfaction.

"Hurry back. It's almost time for class."

"Okay."
