"Debbie stepped off the bus ,adjusting her long skirt and scanning the crowded campus .She'd just leave her home in Lagos to pursue any degree just so she has a degree to impress her father ;because of the harsh words father said to her , she recalled her father said she couldn't make a living honestly ,and she has determined to prove her father wrong . So she took a deep breath , her eyes scanning the sea of students rushing to their next class. So she walked around for a while until she spotted a department which she was so much interested in which is; Banking and finance , her heart was racing with excitement .This was her chance to prove to her father that their was much more to life than dishonesty .
As she walked toward the building , she was happy and all smiling but suddenly she fell in front of everyone due to her skirt being too long .She quickly scrambled to her feet, brushing off her clothes and trying to regain her composure . Students around her started giggling and some rushed to help her up. Debbie's smile turned into a mix of embarrassment and laughter as she thanked those who helped.
Despite the awkward moment , Debbie decided to laugh it off. 'Guess i need to adjust my wardrobe for campus life",but deep down in her in her native language she was like " `Awon eeyan abule baba mi ,which means "My father's village people.
