Chapter 45 - Chapter 45 "The Mechanical Heart" Strikes

When Hugh recounted other observations from the party, and mentioned that the serial killer was an extraordinary creature, Fors was quite surprised: "An extraordinary creature?"

"I was just as surprised as you were when I heard the news," Hugh said with a smile.

Fors smiled awkwardly. In fact, she had heard some information about the serial killer at the Tarot meeting and knew that he was an extraordinary person of the "Demon" pathway, but she did not know that he was an extraordinary creature.

"Oh, by the way, I also got some very important intelligence," Hugh said proudly, "It cost me over twenty pounds..."

Upon learning that the advanced intelligence was based on the concept of "extraordinary traits," Fors replied somewhat perfunctorily, "Wow, that's impressive."

"Ahem~" She cleared her throat and continued, "Now that you mention it, I also got some high-level information at a party..."

At this moment, her heart was screaming: Stop wasting money like this! Just explaining some theories about extraordinary characteristics costs 500 pounds, while at the Tarot Club, "role-playing" only costs 200 pounds!

...

West District, Green Park North Street.

The nobleman named Blair lives here. Ikonser Bernard, the captain of Backlund and a butler of the "Mechanical Heart," personally led a team to visit this wealthy man under the guise of police officers.

Three carriages entered the gates of the luxurious villa. Everything seemed normal; gardeners were tending to the gardens, and bodyguards were patrolling with dogs.

Upon arriving at the villa, Ikonser and his companions met its owner, who looked rather thin and appeared to have not slept well.

As Iconsel stepped off the carriage, Blair came forward to shake his hand, but the commander suddenly shouted, "Launch!"

The door of the second carriage suddenly opened, revealing a cannon barrel as thick as a thigh, engraved with dense, eerie patterns.

The carriage had clearly been modified; the strange little cannon was fixed inside, and the carriage opened in four directions, creating a firing angle of almost 180 degrees.

Two members of "Mechanical Heart" operated the small cannon and were already prepared to fire.

When Ikonser gave the order, the cannon barrels quickly lit up, changing the color of the strange patterns.

A golden fireball shot out of the cannon barrel and struck a window.

Boom!

After the violent explosion, howling and screaming came from inside the room.

An extraordinary battle erupts in an instant!

While the extraordinary cannons were bombarding the area, Ikonser took out a flintlock pistol that looked somewhat antique.

Bang!

He fired a shot at Blair, firing a bright white bullet.

Blair's face suddenly contorted into a grimace, and a dozen thin, icy arrows appeared before him. But the bullets pierced through them, and just as they were about to strike Blair, he suddenly seemed to lose consciousness and collapsed to the ground.

Suddenly, Ikonser waved his hand, and the bullet changed direction, flying towards a piece of glass not far away.

The vengeful spirit that just left Blair's body is hiding there.

The "Wraith" used "Mirror Jump" again to dodge the advanced purification bullet that was effective against him.

Ikonser put away his gun, put on his boxing gloves again, stared intently at the "vengeful spirit," and threw a punch. Although he was far away from the enemy, he hit the "vengeful spirit" squarely in the chin, knocking him out of the mirror and into the real world!

The "vengeful spirit" was hit in the mouth and bled. While dodging bullets, he let out a "shriek" at Ikonser, but the captain seemed to be surrounded by a layer of illusory light similar to stars, which blocked the enemy's extraordinary attack.

On the other side, following the explosion, the servants, gardeners, and bodyguards in the courtyard and villa, and even the vicious dogs, bared their teeth and charged toward the "Mechanical Heart" carriage.

They were all living corpses, long since devoid of life.

Max, the captain of the "Mechanical Heart" squad, jumped down from the carriage, holding a long, heavy, and peculiar gun in both hands, with a dark gold ammunition belt inserted into it.

Ta-da-da~

As Max pulled the trigger, he infused it with spiritual power, instantly activating this extraordinary weapon. A volley of purified bullets felled the undead to the ground.

He glanced at Ikonser's side. Under the combined attack of the butler's own abilities and the powers of several sealed artifacts, the "vengeful spirit" was already injured, and it was only a matter of time before it was defeated.

The other team members couldn't offer much help in the Sequence 5 battle, so Max led his squad to charge the villa from the front with the extraordinary small cannons on the wagons, while another squad circled around to the back door.

Upon entering the villa, they saw several wounded enemies fleeing. The Extraordinary Cannon and Extraordinary Machine Gun opened fire again, and a volley of fire took them all down.

Meanwhile, another squad that had circled around to the backyard was also engaged in battle with the enemy.

Not a single mistake, not a single poem, not a single post, not a single piece of content, not a single look!

Instead of going to help in the backyard, Max led his team to search the first floor.

First, we arrived at the room that had been bombed by the initial purification cannonball. There were two "werewolfs" and one "zombie" there.

One werewolf was dead and the other was seriously injured; both were lying on the ground.

Even a "zombie" couldn't withstand that kind of purification shell, and he was seriously injured. Moreover, the purification effect weakened him considerably. He was stuffing his intestines into his stomach while trying to escape, just as Max and the others came to finish him off.

Without further ado, Max pulled the trigger again.

A hint of fear flashed in the "zombie's" eyes as he dodged to the side at top speed. At the same time, under his command, the dead "werewolf" suddenly stood up and blocked the fatal shot in front of him.

As the "werewolf" who hadn't fully turned into a zombie was cleaved in two, the "zombie," now wounded twice, crashed through the wall and fled towards the back door.

Max led his team to give chase, but just as they entered the hall, the members of "Mechanical Heart" sensed impending danger.

Before they could react, a huge, luxurious carpet in the hall suddenly stood up, blocking Max and the others' view.

Immediately afterwards, all the team members felt their collars tighten, as if the clothes they were wearing were suffocating them. At the same time, they found that their sleeves had also tightened, and they were unable to pull their collars open.

Fear of the unknown force immediately swept through everyone's mind, and even these well-trained team members showed a hint of panic.

Max remained calm. He knew that the person in control was nearby, so he tried to pull the trigger with his still-movable finger, but found that the trigger was as if it were welded shut and he couldn't pull it!

He then realized that a powerful enemy was attacking, one who could control inanimate objects.
