Chapter 62 - Chapter 62 The Kapin Family Dinner

The guard who was kicked away swore that when the masked man got out of the car, he was ready to fight him at any moment!

However, the opponent's kick was too fast, and he didn't have time to react before being kicked away.

The guard's shouts attracted the attention of passersby.

Immediately afterward, passersby hurriedly left, fearing that the fighting there would affect them.

Others hid in a nearby alley, secretly watching Kapin's men get beaten up.

After one guard was kicked away, the other four guards immediately drew their short sticks and rushed over.

Odis seized the opportunity and rammed forward, sending another guard flying.

He then used his cane to block the short sticks of the other guards, and with his other hand shaped like a claw, he struck a guard hard on the chin, the violent impact knocking the man unconscious.

Odis then used elbow strikes and knee strikes to knock down the other two guards.

At this point, Baker in the back also realized what was happening, and the driver had already "consciously" left the driver's seat, so Baker sat in the driver's seat.

Odis turned to Beck and said, "Give me the knife."

Baker quickly opened the suitcase, took out the knife inside, and handed it to the "leader".

A voice inside him said: This is insane! Two people dared to break into Kapin's headquarters. No, the "leader" actually dared to force his way into Kapin's villa!

Odis took the knife and strode to the iron gate. With a single swing of his knife, he easily cut through several sections of the black-painted iron gate.

Odis slashed a few times, broke the latch on the inside door, kicked the door open, and casually threw the knife behind him, which landed right in the weapon box.

The iron gate opened, and Odis swaggered in.

...

Just then, Kapin, who had gained a little weight, arrived at the restaurant. With a warm smile on his face, he greeted the three guests in front of him: "Ms. Katie, tonight we have your favorite caviar, as well as roast chicken specially prepared for you."

Katie, who had an old scar on her face and wore a thin shirt, didn't say a word, but just nodded slightly.

Immediately afterwards, Horace, wearing a white wig and with a thin, stern face, entered the restaurant and nodded slightly to each diner.

This is the leader of the extraordinary beings sent by the royal family, a Sequence 6 "Judge".

Meanwhile, Parker, sitting to the lower left with an old-fashioned face, responded to Horace's nod.

When Horace sat down and spread out his napkin, dinner officially began.

At that moment, the antique wall clock hanging in the hall had just struck 7:23.

Thump thump~

Just as the waiters began serving the food, several gunshots rang out from outside.

Kapin was stunned for a moment, but Heras and the others continued to eat as usual.

A subordinate rushed in: "Boss..."

Kapin tugged at his napkin: "How many times have I told you, call me sir, sir!"

"Yes, boss," the subordinate said urgently. "A stranger has broken in! He says he wants to see you."

Kapin raised his eyelids and said, "Kill him, and don't disturb us while we're having dinner."

"We…we are doing…" the subordinate said, "but…it seems very difficult."

Horace stopped eating, as if listening intently for a moment, before saying, "He's here to see you. Go and deal with him."

His spirit did not sense any threat, so he believed it was a gang fight and therefore they did not intend to get involved.

Kapin nodded: "Yes, yes, yes."

He dropped his napkin and immediately went into the hallway.

Through the corridor window, Kapin saw a young man wearing a mask kicking his vicious dog away.

Not far behind the masked man, there was a carriage that looked to be of great importance.

Bang!

One of Kapin's men fired a shot at the intruder, and a miraculous thing happened: the masked man waved his cane, and the bullet was actually sucked into his cane!

Kapin was no ordinary human trafficker; he immediately realized that the other party might be an extraordinary individual.

He quickly instructed his subordinates to inform Horace: "Tell Mr. Horace that a person with extraordinary abilities has arrived."

Then Kapin put on a smile and said, "Sir, I heard you were looking for me?"

Odis glanced at the plump figure in the corridor window and said, "Kapin?"

Kapin raised his hand, signaling his subordinates not to attack: "It's me."

"This afternoon, you arrested my men," Odis said. "I'm here to take them back."

Kapin's smile vanished: "You're the 'leader'? Byron's boss?"

Not a single mistake, not a single poem, not a single post, not a single piece of content, not a single look!

This afternoon, under Mr. Horace's guidance, a private investigator was apprehended at the dock warehouse.

Kapin originally intended to kill the other man with one shot, but Byron shouted that he had already notified the "leader".

Kapin had never heard of any "leader" and was about to fire when Heras stopped him.

Mr. Horace knew the "leader," who seemed to be a big shot, and that killing him would be troublesome and might even get the "leader" to take notice of their "business."

So Horace interrogated Byron himself, and seeing that the other party did not have any key information, he ordered Capin to imprison him and, when the "leader" came to demand him, to warn the "leader" and then release him.

Odis, wearing a mask, smiled and said, "I am the 'leader,' but not his boss."

At this moment, Parker came out of the restaurant and, upon hearing that the other party was the "leader," stood in the corridor and let Capin handle it himself.

Kapin coughed a few times and sneered, "'Chief,' curiosity will kill you. You shouldn't have sent people to investigate my business."

"To be precise, I didn't send Byron," Odis said. "I only promised him that I would save his life."

This answer surprised both Parker and Capin. Capin scratched his face hard with his fingers: "Are you making excuses?"

Odis did not answer Capin's question, but simply said, "Release them immediately."

Having heard of the Mysticism Research Society, Parker glanced at the "Mechanical Emblem" on the carriage, waved to Kapin, signaling to let the person go, and then he coughed as well.

Parker knew, of course, that the "leader" was a member of the Church of the God of Steam and Machines. Since the other party was not actively investigating Kapin, he should release him as soon as possible to avoid trouble.

Kapin's face was already red from scratching, but he gripped harder and harder: "Let them go, cough cough."

Soon, Byron, who was locked on the first floor, was brought out by two of Cappin's men. When the bruised and battered Byron saw the "leader's" mask, he finally breathed a sigh of relief.

At this moment, Parker, his voice hoarse, pointed at Capin's face: "Your face."

Kapin kept scratching, leaving his face covered in bloodstains. These bloodstains swelled up quickly, and the skin became translucent, revealing a pale yellow liquid inside.

Clang clang~

Suddenly, the sound of metal cutlery falling to the ground came from the restaurant, followed by a commotion inside.

As if he had suddenly caught a cold, Parker abruptly drew his gun and pointed it at the "leader," asking in a hoarse voice, "What did you do to us?"

Odis's mind raced, and she immediately came to a conclusion: Could it be such a coincidence? Is today the day Klein makes his move?
