Chapter 68 - Chapter 68 The potion is finally starting to digest.

When Odis heard Bernadette's question, he smiled somewhat helplessly: "I was in your sight all day yesterday. You should be able to tell that everything I experienced was purely accidental."

This was a sly answer; instead of saying "I don't know" or "I'm not sure," it described what happened yesterday.

He was telling the truth; his nose certainly didn't get longer.

However, Odis did not explicitly say that he "did not know who the Robin Hood 'Black Emperor' was," because he not only knew who the Robin Hood 'Black Emperor' was, but also knew all the details about him, such as that the other party had a sister who liked to study mechanics.

Bernadette furrowed her somewhat heroic brows: "I can sense that this 'Robin Hood' Black Emperor is the one who stole the bookmarks from the Kingdom Museum before."

"You've met him twice in one month, which is very unusual from a mystical perspective."

Odis was slightly taken aback; he hadn't considered this line of thought. However, he immediately came up with a response: "Have you ever considered whether you have some kind of connection with him?"

He removed his mask, revealing a fairly handsome face: "Theoretically speaking, I am a 'low sequence.' Your connection with him should be greater than my connection with him, right?"

Bernadette nodded slowly: "That's true..."

Odis changed the subject, feigning impatience, and said, "I was interrogated all night yesterday, and I didn't expect you to interrogate me as soon as we met."

"I risked everything yesterday to find out information about bookmarks for you."

Bernadette snapped out of her reverie and smiled, "I'm sorry, I just had some questions."

Then she asked, "What information did you find out?"

"Please treat me to lunch."

"No problem," Bernadette replied immediately.

"It is said to be a special item left behind by Emperor Roselle," Odis said thoughtfully. "And it has the ability to ward off divination, and it seems to require a special activation spell."

"Normally it's just an ordinary bookmark, but once opened, it seems to contain some very important information."

"Activation spell?" Bernadette immediately recalled the two strangely pronounced symbols her father had once taught her.

Odis removed the hooded cloak worn by the "leader" and waited quietly for about ten seconds before Bernadette came to her senses: "Sorry, I was thinking about something else."

She forced a smile: "Where are you planning to eat lunch?"

"Nanmu Dance Hall."

"Okay, see you at noon."

See you at noon.

After confirming the time and place for lunch, Bernadette was once again covered by two enormous wings and eventually disappeared into the basement.

It was clear that the conversation had reminded Bernadette of her father.

Odis took a deep breath, straightened her clothes in front of the mirror, and then left the basement. She was now at 77 Hilton Avenue, and took a horse-drawn carriage back to the herbalist shop.

Kaina was already used to Odis sometimes not coming to the shop for a few days at a time. Everything was running smoothly under his management. As he dusted off the items, he said, "Mr. Simon came by and said there was a match on Sunday night. He will come back tomorrow afternoon to report on the information he has gathered."

Odis nodded: "Yes."

He picked up the newspaper and glanced at it. When he saw the report about the "Robin Hood" stealing all of Capin's belongings, he smiled slightly. At that moment, he was also thinking about the safe.

If he could find a safe, he could just throw it into the "wilderness of knowledge" and he'd be rich.

However, the villa was engulfed in flames at the time, making it difficult to search for safes in places like the study. Moreover, the demigods from the official extraordinary beings were able to arrive at any moment, leaving no time to search for safes.

Finally, Odis lamented to himself: What a pity! So much money, all of it benefited the police in Backlund.

With nothing else to do today, Odis rested for a bit before using the "teleportation array" to go to the suburban laboratory and store the "Wisdom Helmet" in the "Knowledge Wilderness".

After tidying up the laboratory, the "teleportation array" had already completed its one-hour "cooldown period".

Back at the herbal shop, Odis paced back and forth at his desk in the lounge, pondering the task of writing "The Manual of Combat".

After thinking for a while, he finally began to write, starting with a description of the fighting and an outline of the entire book.

Here he draws on some relevant theories of "Chinese Kung Fu" to clarify that the essence of fighting is first and foremost to strengthen the body, prevent oneself or one's family from being harmed, and punish the evil deeds of others when help is needed, thus promoting the meaning of kindness, and does not advocate fighting.

After writing over a thousand words, Odis felt that the potion in her body was starting to loosen.

He smiled slightly: The previous idea was correct. No matter how the "fighting scholar" fights, he will eventually have to summarize and study it. If he can have his own unique insights into fighting, he will definitely be able to digest the magic potion.

He then began to explain some basic theories of combat, as well as the description of the points of force application.

With only half of the outline written, Odis could already clearly feel the potion being digested.

Just as he was feeling smug, a voice suddenly rang out behind him: "It's been many years since anyone dared to stand me up."

Not a single mistake, not a single poem, not a single post, not a single piece of content, not a single look!

Oops!

Odis quickly took out his pocket watch; it was already past one in the afternoon. "Sorry, sorry, I was too engrossed in writing just now."

"Take what you wrote."

Odis quickly picked up the draft he had just half-finished, and suddenly, a phantom, pumpkin-shaped carriage appeared before him.

Two fat horses with rat heads stood on the experimental platform, but they did not touch any objects from the real world.

"Get in the car," Bernadette's voice rang out again.

Odis opened the car door and saw pink seats and some girlish decorations inside.

He stepped into the carriage and had just closed the door when the scenery outside suddenly became colorful and then illusory, making it impossible to distinguish directions or time.

The carriage is carrying Odis through the spirit world!

About ten seconds later, the outside scenery became colorful again, the carriage stopped, and Odis found herself in a private room of the "Nanmu Restaurant".

The illusory carriage disappeared, and Odis returned to the real world completely.

Bernadette sat in one of the chairs and held out her hand to Odis: "Let me see what you were busy with just now?"

Odis handed her the manuscript: "Have you ordered yet?"

"You order," Bernadette said, glancing at the manuscript.

Odis had originally intended to overcharge Bernadette, but since he was late, he felt embarrassed to overcharge her. He ordered two set meals for £1.60 and a bottle of wine for £2.16, which cost him a little over £5 in total.

After Bernadette finished reading the manuscript, she looked up at Odis and asked, "Did you write this?"

"yes."

"Your handwriting is terrible," Bernadette commented. "Besides, you should be able to digest the potion very soon!"
