Chapter 39 - Chapter 39: Linlin vs. World!

In his view, the only person in the entire venue capable of bidding against Reno was Byrnndi World.

The others had the will but lacked the power.

Hearing Reno's bid, World put down his crossed legs, narrowed his eyes, and glanced at Reno.

"Brother, do you know who that is??"

World asked in a low voice.

Beside him, the skeletal Byojack scrutinized Reno and his group carefully, deep in thought.

As his younger brother's brain, although physically weak, he knew much more about current events on the sea and famous pirates than World did.

A moment later, Byojack shook his head. "Don't know him."

"Since you don't know him, he's a nobody."

Receiving his brother's confirmation, World grinned, revealing a cruel smile.

"Big Brother, I hate this guy."

Sensing World's stare, Linlin clenched her fist unhappily.

That provocative look made her want to beat World up.

"I'm pretty annoyed too."

Black Shadow glanced at World with sinister eyes, wiping his newly acquired short blade.

"Don't rush. Since they haven't provoked us directly, let's not cause trouble."

Reno signaled everyone to calm down.

Even though he was powerful, Reno wouldn't actively look for trouble.

But if the other party was asking for it, they couldn't blame him.

Moving his gaze away from Reno, World stared fixedly at the host on the stage, emphasizing every word:

"Hehehe... I only have 3.5 million Berries. The Treasure Tree Adam is mine. Let's see who dares to snatch it from me!!"

As he spoke, World stood up from his seat, the threat obvious.

Gulp.

The host swallowed nervously, his hand holding the microphone shaking. He stammered:

"Th... That... Our auction house has rules. The highest bidder always wins. Please calm down."

The "Destroyer" World in front of him wasn't comparable to the troublemakers from before.

World's overtly threatening words plunged the venue into dead silence.

Not a sound was heard.

Some discerning pirates, sensing the bad atmosphere, got up and hurriedly left the auction hall.

Anyway, the auction was almost over, and it had little to do with them.

In a short while, the previously packed venue was left with only a few scattered people.

These were guys confident in their own strength who wanted to stay and watch the show.

"Rules??"

"My rules are the only rules! I'll ask you one thing: 3.5 million Berries—will you give it or not??"

As he spoke, a terrifying aura erupted from World's body, instantly enveloping the entire venue.

The host immediately felt immense pressure weighing on him, cold sweat breaking out on his forehead.

"Guards! Guards, get in here!!!"

Realizing the danger, the host shouted loudly. Several burly men appeared beside him like ghosts, protecting the Treasure Tree Adam.

"World, I'm warning you, don't act recklessly! I have connections above, you know??"

Knowing World was not to be trifled with, the host trembled, uttering threats that carried zero deterrence.

"Hey, World! Are you deaf? The rule here is the highest bidder wins. I bid higher than you, so the Treasure Tree Adam is mine, got it??"

Reno slowly stood up, facing World.

"Oh??"

"Since you know my name, you still dare to snatch it from me??"

Hearing the other party accurately state his name, the young World raised his head proudly.

To be known on the sea just one year after setting sail—who else could say that!

"Hey! Why are you talking so much nonsense? Do you want to fight??"

Linlin, who had been annoyed with this guy for a long time, rolled up her sleeves, looking ready to charge.

Seeing Linlin speak, World re-evaluated the group before him.

Hajrudin, eight meters tall. Linlin, four meters tall. Reno, two meters tall. Black Shadow, 1.8 meters tall.

This height difference was weird enough.

"Cough, cough... Brother, hurry up. Delaying too long won't benefit us."

Byojack, feeling unwell, reminded him.

"Since you won't give it, I'll have to take it."

Understanding the cue, World acted decisively, rushing straight towards the stage.

"Stop him! Hurry and stop him!!!"

The terrified host screamed.

If such a valuable item was lost on his watch, he wouldn't see tomorrow's sun.

"You're asking for death!!"

World snorted coldly, waving his fists and knocking down all the guards in a flash.

"What a bunch of trash!!"

"Hajrudin, you go..."

"Linlin will beat you to death!!"

Before Reno could finish, the furious Linlin rushed out like a little leopard.

Just as World was about to reach out, his Observation Haki warned him. His pupils constricted instantly, and he turned sideways.

The next second, Linlin's fist grazed past his head.

"So fast!"

World frowned slightly. Although Linlin's fist hadn't hit him, the wind from the punch tore the skin on his face, leaving a small cut.

"It seems I underestimated you."

Daring not to underestimate her anymore, World's muscles bulged, veins popping out as he mobilized even stronger power.

"Snatching my stuff? Then you all go to hell!!!"

"More-More: 30x Gun!!"

World pulled a pistol from his waist. As the bullet fired, he used the More-More Fruit ability. The bullet, originally the size of a marble, instantly magnified 30 times, becoming like a giant cannonball. Not only did its speed not decrease, but it also increased by 30 times.

The giant iron ball tore through the air, its shadow growing larger and larger in Linlin's pupils.

"What fruit ability is this??"

With several years of combat experience, Linlin reacted after a brief moment of surprise. Clenching her pink fist, she drew her right arm back.

With a roar, she punched ruthlessly at the iron ball.

"Let's see if you die this time!!!"

World's face was ferocious, looking at Linlin with contempt.

Boosted by the More-More Fruit, the bullet's size increased 30 times, and its speed increased 30 times. The resulting power and inertia were enough to easily destroy a mountain peak.

In his view, Linlin, attempting to catch this move with her bare hands, was definitely dead meat.
