When eighteen-year-old Sylas opens his eyes, the first thing he sees is a sky he doesn’t recognize. Disoriented and aching, he soon realizes he’s not dreaming.

As panic rises, an unfamiliar warmth spreads through his body, sharpening his senses and muting his fear. A small note slips from his pocket, revealing a truth more unbelievable than the monsters before him: a careless “God” destroyed his body, rebuilt him as a pure-blooded Viltrumite, and dropped him into the world of Record of Grancrest War.
 
When the creatures created by Chaos die, their bodies evaporate into Chaos cores, the unstable energy that defines this world. By absorbing it, Sylas inadvertently forms his first Crest, marking him as a newly born Lord, a role entangled with politics, territory, and endless conflict.

Alone in an unfamiliar land, Sylas confronts the reality of what he’s become: a being with the potential to live for thousands of years, armed with power beyond comprehension, but with no guidance, no home, and no purpose.

With nothing left but the road ahead, he steels himself.
