After bringing out Blackwing Full Armor Master, Fujiwara swept his arm through the air.
"Next, I tune the Level 6 Blackwing - Nothung the Starlight on my field with the Level 2 Tuner Phantom Glimmer Token! I Synchro Summon—Black-Winged Dragon!"
As his voice fell, a black whirlwind once again tore across the field. A massive ebony dragon appeared in midair, its wings slicing through the storm as it descended onto the arena.

With Black-Winged Dragon now on the field, Fujiwara drew a card from his hand and slapped it down.
"I activate the effect of Blackwing - Sharnga the Waning Moon! If there is a monster with 2000 or more ATK on the field, I can Special Summon this card from my hand. I already have several monsters over 2000 ATK, so I can Special Summon this monster without issue!"
As he spoke, a black-winged monster with a golden crown on its head appeared on the field.

Fujiwara once again raised his arm high.
"I Synchro Summon, Level 10—Bystial Dis Pater!!!"
As his declaration rang out, an enormous dragon slowly crawled forth from a dimensional rift, its gigantic body wrapped in countless black, grasping hands. Each hand radiated a terrifying aura.

"Next, I'll Special Summon another monster from my Extra Deck."
Fujiwara did not let his combo slow down. He pulled a card from his Extra Deck and revealed it.
"I banish Black-Winged Dragon from my Graveyard and the Synchro Tuner Blackwing - Boreastorm the Wicked Wind to Special Summon this monster!"
He slammed the card onto his Duel Disk, and it erupted in blinding light.
An instant later, a huge dragon with pitch-black wings and lightning coiling around its claws descended onto the field. Every flap of its wings whipped up a violent gale.

"I activate Bystial Dis Pater's effect. Once per turn, I can target 1 LIGHT or DARK monster that is banished or in either Graveyard and Special Summon it to my field."
Fujiwara jabbed a finger toward his banished pile.
"I'll Special Summon back Blackwing - Boreastorm the Wicked Wind!"

Fujiwara immediately followed up.
"Then I tune the just-Special-Summoned Blackwing - Boreastorm the Wicked Wind with the Level 4 Blackwing - Zephyros the Elite on my field to Synchro Summon!
"Second Black-Winged Assault Dragon!!!"
With a roar, the second Black-Winged Assault Dragon spread its wings and descended beside the first.

There were already five monsters on Fujiwara's field, each radiating overwhelming pressure.
In the stands behind Yusaku, the Takeuchi Dojo trainees were clenching their fists so tightly their knuckles had turned white.
They could all tell this board was anything but simple.
"I said I'm not done yet!"
Fujiwara shouted.
"I banish the Blackwing - Boreastorm the Wicked Wind that was just sent to the GY as Synchro Material, together with the second Black-Winged Dragon in my GY! By meeting the summon condition of Black-Winged Assault Dragon, I Special Summon my third Black-Winged Assault Dragon!!!"
Yet another Black-Winged Assault Dragon swooped down onto the field, its presence pressing down like a thundercloud.

"Lastly." Fujiwara took the last two cards from his hand and slid them into his Duel Disk. "I Set 2 cards. Turn end."
With a clear hum, two face-down cards materialized at his feet, like twin black holes radiating a sinister aura.

After the LP deduction, Fujiwara flicked his coat back, fixing Yusaku with an icy stare.
"Your move, Yusaku!"
"All six Monster Zones are completely full!"
Kazetaro drew in a sharp breath, his voice heavy.
"Last time he filled the board like this, Fujiwara-senpai's opponent was just as cocky as you were before the duel. In the end, he didn't shave off a single point of senpai's LP. I really hope you've got the real deal, not just a loud mouth."
"You said you had plenty of ways to break my board." Fujiwara finally spoke now that his setup was complete. "Then go on, pick any one. How do you plan to break this field?"
Yusaku's smile only deepened as his gaze swept across Fujiwara's setup.
"You're running a Blackwing build, so your core is Winged Beast, right? But aside from Blackwing Full Armor Master, every other monster you've put on the field is a Dragon."
Fujiwara's brow furrowed. "What's that supposed to mean?"
Yusaku gave him a mysterious smile.
Down in the stands, Kazetaro felt a jolt in his chest. He muttered under his breath, "Dragon… Dragon…"
Suddenly, as if struck by lightning, he snapped his head up. "That card! That Branded card—Albion…"
Before he could finish, Yusaku gently pressed his index finger to his own lips.
Kazetaro hurriedly clamped a hand over his mouth. Just picturing what was about to happen made his cheeks burn, and he had to fight hard not to laugh out loud.
Thanks to his reaction, Kouki also instantly caught on, the corners of his mouth twitching upward uncontrollably.
Only the Takeuchi Dojo trainees were still slow on the uptake—until Kazetaro's murmur finally clicked, and they collectively had a moment of enlightenment.
In Cheese Crit's stream, the chat instantly flooded with rows of "kekekeke" and weird, cackling laughter.
On the field itself, Fujiwara frowned slightly. "Branded?"
"Then… my turn. Draw!"
The instant Yusaku added his drawn card to his hand, Fujiwara's cold voice cut across the field.
"At the end of your Draw Phase, I activate the Trap Card—Dimensional Barrier!"
"This card's effect: I declare 1 monster card type—Ritual, Fusion, Synchro, Xyz, or Pendulum—to activate it. This turn, neither player can Special Summon monsters of the declared type, and the effects of monsters of that type already on the field are all negated."
Fujiwara's eyes locked onto Yusaku, a cold smile curling at the corner of his lips.
"I declare Fusion monsters.
"This turn, you can't summon any Fusion Monsters, and any Fusion Monster effects on the field are dead!"
The moment that card flipped up, the students behind Fujiwara were stunned for half a heartbeat, then burst into wild cheers.
"With six big monsters out AND Fusion locked, this is a guaranteed win!"
"Fujiwara-senpai's board is all Synchros, so he's completely unaffected."
Compared to the hysteria across from them, the mood behind Yusaku took a nosedive. His main deck was Branded, and he didn't run many other full engines. With Fusion sealed, his strength had practically been chopped off at the knees.
"Dimensional Barrier…"
Kazetaro's expression turned ugly.
"So that's what he had set… damn it! If I'd known, I wouldn't have said a word just now…"
He glanced up at Yusaku, about to apologize, but Yusaku only waved a hand lightly, telling him not to worry about it.
On the field, Fujiwara stood with his arms folded, his tone openly mocking.
"With this, your Branded deck is completely crippled, isn't it?"
Yusaku, however, was giving him a very strange look.
"When," he asked calmly, "did I ever say this was a Branded deck?"
Fujiwara: "?"
Kazetaro: "???"
Lion King Dojo trainees: "!!!"
Takeuchi Dojo trainees: "!!!"
"You clearly just now…" Fujiwara started, then abruptly stopped.
"You said that on purpose." His eyes narrowed. "You wanted your dojo guys in the stands to play along, to 'confirm' that you were using a Branded deck."
Fujiwara snorted.
"I've already researched your builds. Your main shell is Branded Fusion, followed by two sub-builds: Synchro Blue-Eyes and Swordsoul.
"If you were on either of those two Synchro shells, then yeah, Dimensional Barrier would be pretty much a wasted card. But I don't believe either of them can break my board."
"Unfortunately for you…" Yusaku shook his head lightly.
"I'm not using either of those you mentioned. I'm just playing whatever I draw. I like to call this deck 'Balanced Effects'."
"Fusion, Synchro, Xyz, Pendulum, Link—this deck runs all of them.
"So whatever type you try to seal… what's the point?"
Fujiwara: "Huh?"
