Chapter 1 - Prologue

On the plant Krymmlos, in the continent Eamlos in the Kingdom of Lilan, in the Viscounty of Beaumont there was a road, and on that road was a shack. Inside this shack were three people. One was a woman, covered in grime and had deep gashes on her potato sack dress, yet the most horrendous wound of all was the sword embedded in her chest.

Backed in the corner was a man. With a scar down his face and a sword in his hand, he seemed to be a mercenary of sorts. lastly a girl with auburn hair and grey eyes observed the woman's wound as if was the most fascinating thing in the world. The wound on the chest, which was still spurting blood, only seemed to open more as time passed, blood occasionally erupting from the wound and spilling everywhere.

There was an inhuman glint in the child's eyes, a sheer focus and will most would be hard pressed to find in battle hardened warriors much less a youngling no older than 6.

The mercenary was quite perturbed. Not just because he was watching his sister bleed out, which while difficult to watch, he understood that she had completed her part of the grand plan and had made his peace. No, what really made him scared was the child.

The imp had the chilling gaze of a seasoned veteran and just making eye contact with the toddler gave him a sense of foreboding. She looked at the man as if he was a lab rat, yet she looked at the sword as if it was some kind of deity. The toddler noticed that blood slowly stopped flooding from the woman's wounds.

"Are you done Cain?"

The girl asked with a slightly bored tone. There was no response leading the man to believe that the girl was crazy, yet even after no response the girl nodded her head as if she had heard one anyway. With a short hum, she pulled the blade out of the woman and advanced slowly to the man.

"D-dont come any closer! I'm warning you!" Despite the man's stature and armed status, the girl continued to approach with a blissful expression on her face. The man sprinted out of the shack, yet both the girl and the man knew that he wouldn't live to see the morrow.
