Chapter 106 - Chapter 106: This Is Super Saiyan Second Grade!

"Wait a second… First Grade Full Power? Does that mean there is a Super Saiyan Second Grade?" Son Gohan suddenly realized.

Hearing this, Vegeta nodded in satisfaction.

The kid finally caught on.

Trunks, standing to the side, also reacted at the same time. He stared at his father in shock, excitement beyond words surging through him.

Super Saiyan First Grade Full Power alone was already beyond anything he could imagine, yet there was an even higher realm.

And without question, his father had already reached it.

"Of course," Vegeta replied calmly.

"Otherwise, why would it be called Super Saiyan First Grade Full Power, and not simply Super Saiyan Full Power?"

Super Saiyan Second Grade. He had already achieved it during his year of training.

This was his true trump card.

Otherwise, with his base power only at eighty million, still short of one hundred million, recklessly traveling through time would have been courting disaster. If he had accidentally run into a fully perfected Cell level opponent, he could have easily been wiped out.

After all, in the Dragon Ball universe, beings with tens of billions in battle power were hardly rare.

Reaching Super Saiyan Second Grade merely granted one the qualification to step onto the stage.

Looking at the expressions on the two youngsters' faces, Vegeta's lips curled upward again.

Knowing exactly what they were thinking, he went along with it.

"What? Want to see it for yourselves?"

Gohan and Trunks nodded at the same time.

In truth, Vegeta had already intended to show them Super Saiyan Second Grade.

At the very least, he wanted them to understand that Super Saiyan First Grade Full Power was only the beginning.

Super Saiyan Second Grade. That was the first major milestone they should truly be striving for.

As for Super Saiyan Third Grade,

Even Vegeta himself found it difficult to reach at present. It required both the right opportunity and a deeper personal enlightenment.

With his current base strength, it simply was not sustainable.

And then there was Super Saiyan Four.

Before traveling through time, Vegeta had attempted it many times. But even after transforming into a Great Ape, he could not so much as touch the threshold of a Golden Great Ape.

Something was missing. He could sense it, yet could never cross that line.

Vegeta did not believe his talent was lacking. Especially not with the combined memories and understanding of two lifetimes.

"Watch carefully," Vegeta said, his tone growing serious.

"I will only transform once."

The moment he spoke, the aura around him changed abruptly.

Gohan and Trunks both felt it instantly, unconsciously swallowing hard.

Before they could even retreat, Vegeta's presence erupted.

A terrifying aura spread in all directions, crushing the surroundings. Golden flames roared violently, finally condensing into a pillar of light that shot straight into the heavens, as if splitting the sky apart and bringing new hope to the world.

Both Gohan and Trunks were still in their Super Saiyan forms, yet even so, they were forced back by the overwhelming power Vegeta released.

No.

It was not merely being pushed back.

They were blasted away by the shockwave itself.

Only because Gohan instantly unleashed all of his strength and grabbed hold of Trunks did they barely manage to stabilize their bodies.

"T this… this is the aura of Super Saiyan Second Grade," Gohan said heavily.

"It is far too strong. Completely on a different level."

His vision was overwhelmed by the golden radiance, making it impossible to see clearly.

But what he sensed through ki alone made him feel like an ant, while Vegeta was a massive planet.

Super Saiyan First Grade Full Power had already exceeded his imagination.

Now, Super Saiyan Second Grade made him truly realize how small and weak he still was.

Unconsciously, Gohan thought of Vegeta's past timeline.

With strength like this, the changes that occurred twenty years ago must have been enormous. It was even possible that his father had reached this same level.

No.

The thought of his father dying from a viral heart disease made Gohan's chest tighten painfully.

He could not help but wonder.

In Uncle Vegeta's past timeline, was his father still alive?

"So amazing… truly amazing," Trunks murmured in awe.

"Is this Dad's real, complete strength?"

Unlike Gohan's complex emotions, Trunks' voice carried a hint of quiet joy.

As Vegeta's aura continued to climb, he let out a deep, muffled roar.

His fists clenched, body lowering slightly into a firm stance. As his Saiyan energy fully boiled over, it transformed into an even denser golden blaze enveloping his entire body.

The pillar of light vanished.

Vegeta now looked even more solid and powerful, every muscle line sharply defined. His golden hair stood straight up, far fuller and more intense than in Super Saiyan First Grade Full Power.

Most importantly, arcs of lightning crackled around him.

The unmistakable sign of Super Saiyan Second Grade.

Once the transformation stabilized, Vegeta exhaled lightly.

In truth, he could have entered Super Saiyan Second Grade instantly.

But to give Gohan and Trunks a greater impact, he deliberately let them witness every detail of the transformation process.

"This," Vegeta said, gazing down at them with absolute dominance,

"is Super Saiyan Second Grade."

At this moment, having just entered this realm, Vegeta's battle power had increased to one hundred times his base, reaching eight billion.

And even this was not his absolute limit.

If he wished, Vegeta could push beyond ten billion in battle power.

That had been the goal he had relentlessly pursued ever since eliminating Frieza and King Cold.

One year of effort had barely brought him there.

But from here on, the road ahead would only grow more difficult.

At his current level, progress would no longer come as smoothly as before.

No matter the method of training, massive leaps could not be achieved easily. He would need a great deal of time to accumulate and refine his strength.

After maintaining the form for a while, giving the two youngsters time to process, Vegeta finally released Super Saiyan Second Grade.

Everything returned to calm.

Gohan and Trunks also reverted to their normal states.

Naturally, words of admiration poured from their mouths, though Vegeta paid them no mind.

In his own way, he had already made one thing clear to them.

Super Saiyan Second Grade was not the ultimate limit.

And even reaching this realm did not mean invincibility.

After some further discussion, the three of them returned to their home in West City.

Gohan now understood the full chain of events, how the Android crisis truly began, and what had happened in Vegeta's past timeline.

In the end, he was really just trying to learn one thing.

What had become of his father and mother in the past timeline.
