Chapter 83 - Chapter 83: Back to School!

The holiday flew by in the blink of an eye, and before anyone knew it, September 1st had arrived.

Charlie dragged his suitcase into King's Cross Station. The place was packed, a chaotic blend of voices, footsteps, and announcements overlapping into a constant roar.

He skillfully found the wall between Platforms Nine and Ten. Just as he was about to walk straight through it, something in the corner of his eye caught his attention.

A furtive figure.

It was a house-elf, hiding behind a pillar, secretly observing the surroundings.

Charlie narrowed his eyes. The elf had unusually large ears, a thin, scrawny body, and was wearing a filthy, tattered pillowcase.

The house-elf noticed Charlie's gaze, shuddered violently, and with a soft pop, Apparated away.

Charlie shrugged, not thinking much of it.

Probably some pure-blood family seeing a child off. Aristocratic households always had house-elves.

He stepped through the wall and boarded the Hogwarts Express.

In a shadowy corner of the station, Dobby reappeared, gasping for breath.

He had almost been discovered.

Dobby knew who that was. Charlie White. He had seen Charlie's photograph splashed across the front page of the Daily Prophet back at Malfoy Manor.

He also knew Charlie was Harry Potter's friend.

If Charlie found out what he was doing, Dobby's plan to stop Harry from going to school would be completely ruined.

Luckily, Charlie hadn't followed him.

Dobby hid in the corner, nervously rubbing his fingers together, silently praying that Harry would not come.

But ten minutes before the train's departure, the Weasley family still arrived at the station.

Dobby's heart sank.

Mr. and Mrs. Weasley, Percy, Fred, George, Ginny, and Harry, a whole procession, headed toward Platform Nine and Three-Quarters.

"Hurry up! The train's about to leave!" Mrs. Weasley urged.

One by one, everyone passed through the wall successfully, until only Harry and Ron were left.

"Let's go together!" Ron said excitedly, pushing his trolley.

Harry nodded, and the two of them broke into a run toward the wall.

At that critical moment, Dobby quietly extended a finger and snapped it.

In an instant, the magical barrier that should have let them through turned into a solid, physical wall.

Harry and Ron slammed into it with full force, tumbling backward as their luggage scattered across the floor.

Hedwig's cage crashed down, and she screeched angrily.

Nearby Muggles turned their heads, pointing and whispering.

"Oh my goodness, what's wrong with those boys?"

"Did their trolley get out of control?"

Harry's face went pale. His nose throbbed painfully, and his glasses sat crooked on his face.

Ron had it even worse. A large bump was already swelling on his forehead as he clutched his head and groaned.

"It's fine, it's fine, the trolley just tipped over," Harry said hurriedly, while reaching out to touch the wall.

Cold. Hard.

It was a real wall.

"How is this possible?" Ron touched it too, his face instantly draining of color.

"Everyone else just went through!"

Harry's heart started pounding. Panic rose in his chest.

"We can't get in, but the train's about to leave!"

A train whistle echoed in the distance. It wasn't the Hogwarts Express, but it still made Harry's stomach churn.

"What do we do? What do we do?" Harry spun in place anxiously.

He was terrified of missing Hogwarts.

Ron clenched his teeth, suddenly remembering something.

"Harry, we can take the flying car!"

"What?" Harry stared at him.

"It's fast, we can catch up to the train," Ron said excitedly.

"And it can turn invisible. The Muggles won't see it."

Harry hesitated.

"But we're underage. We're not allowed to use magic outside school, including magical items."

"There's a law that says underage wizards can use magic in emergencies," Ron thumped his chest confidently.

"My dad works at the Ministry. I know this stuff!"

Hearing that, the knot in Harry's chest finally loosened.

If the law covered it, then it should be fine.

"Alright. Let's go."

The two of them hastily gathered their things and pushed their trolley out of the station.

In the parking lot, they found the blue Ford.

They stuffed the luggage into the trunk and placed Hedwig's cage in the back seat.

Ron climbed into the driver's seat, Harry into the passenger seat.

Ron pressed the invisibility button, and the car vanished into thin air.

The engine roared, and the car shot straight up into the sky.

On the other side of the wall, the Weasley parents finished seeing the children off. Mrs. Weasley began counting heads.

"Percy, Fred, George, Ginny, they're all on," she said, ticking them off on her fingers.

"Where are Harry and Ron?"

Mr. Weasley scanned the crowd, but the station was packed, and the two boys were nowhere to be seen.

"Weren't they right behind us?" Mrs. Weasley's voice grew strained with worry.

The train whistle sounded again. Departure was imminent.

"Go check the train!" Mr. Weasley shouted toward the windows.

"Fred! George!"

Fred leaned out of a window.

"What is it, Dad?"

"Are Harry and Ron on the train? Go find them!"

Fred and George exchanged a glance.

"Oh, looks like little Ronnie's playing hide-and-seek again."

"Go, now!" Mrs. Weasley stamped her foot anxiously.

The train began to move. All the Weasley parents could do was watch helplessly as it pulled away from the platform.

"Let's go back and look," Mr. Weasley said, grabbing his wife's hand.

"Maybe they're still in the station."

They hurried back, searching everywhere.

They asked several staff members, who said the two boys with trolleys had fallen earlier, but no one knew where they'd gone afterward.

Finally, they reached the parking lot.

Mr. Weasley froze, staring in disbelief.

"The car is gone."

The parking space was empty. The blue Ford had vanished without a trace.

Mrs. Weasley stood there for three seconds, then let out an earth-shattering scream.

"Arthur Weasley! Your precious sons have driven off in your stupid car!"

On the train, Percy was making full use of his authority as a prefect, gathering the Gryffindor students.

"Everyone, listen carefully. Ron and Harry Potter are missing," Percy said solemnly.

"Please help look for them. Check the other carriages."

The Gryffindor students immediately sprang into action.

Fred and George searched carriage after carriage.

Despite their love of mischief, they genuinely cared about their family.

They searched more than half the train without finding any trace of Ron or Harry.

Eventually, they reached Charlie's compartment.

"Charlie!" Fred pushed the door open.

"Have you seen Harry and Ron?"

Charlie was teasing Rudy when he heard them and looked up.

"No. What happened?"

"They disappeared back at the station," George said anxiously.

"We've been asking around, but no one's seen them."

"They probably didn't get on the train," Fred said grimly.

"If Mum finds out, she'll lose her mind."

Charlie set his book aside and frowned.

"With so many people at the station, they should be fine. Maybe something delayed them."

"Let's hope so," George sighed.

Just then, something caught Charlie's eye through the window.

A dark shape in the sky.

It looked strange, not a bird, not a flying broom.

Charlie focused, then froze.

"What the hell… is that a car flying in the sky?"

Charlie had no idea the Weasleys owned a flying car.

Fred and George immediately rushed to the window, following his gaze.

High above the clouds, a blue object darted through the air.

Even from this distance, they could recognize it.

Fred's face turned deathly pale.

"Now we know where Ron is."

George's voice trembled as he spoke.
