She straightened up slowly, but didn't move away, her hip still brushing my shoulder. She smiled, tilting her head.
"Actually, Alex… since you're so handy with tech, do you know anything about electrical stuff?"
I looked up at her, trying to keep my eyes on her face and not the way her vest strained with every breath. "Yeah, I can look into it. What's up?"
She sighed, running a hand through her hair, the motion making her chest shift in a way that was impossible to ignore. "One of the bulbs in the bedroom has been acting up—flickering like crazy. I can't figure out if it's the bulb or the wiring, and I'm not about to climb up there myself."
"Lead the way," I said, standing up, pulse already kicking up again.
She grinned, turning to lead me out of the office—hips swaying, shorts riding just a little higher with each step.
