I woke up some hours later—feeling refreshed, body loose and light. I sat on the bed under the nice blankets, finally looking around the room I'd missed when I crashed here quick for sleep. Left the views for later—just wanted to feel rested first.
"Slept so good," I said out loud, stretching long, yawning big, arms high as my back cracked.
Room was good—nice ambience, clean and cool, first floor with a big balcony letting in soft light. Sun was out strong, day looking perfect already.
I stood up—slipped on the room slippers—and went to the balcony door, opened it wide, stepped out to the railing.
Damn… view was awesome. Beach stretched out below, sand white and shining, sea deep blue sparkling, trees green along the edge, seagulls circling overhead, people tiny on the shore. Looked like just a couple minutes walk away.
Nice breeze blowing cool off the water, salt air fresh in my face. I took it all in deep—standing there a minute, hands on the railing, smiling.
