Chapter 72 -  Speed Is Mass. Mass Is Destruction!

Kizaru — one of the Marine Headquarters' top three Admirals.

Charlotte Smoothie — one of the Big Mom Pirates' Sweet Commanders.

And now, in the blink of an eye…

Both were dead.

"My god…"

"Am I seeing things…?"

"Beckman… he really took out Kizaru and that Smoothie woman, right? Two of the most powerful people in the world—dead?!"

Lucky Roux stood frozen in place, chicken leg halfway to his mouth, jaw slack like he'd just seen a ghost. His voice trembled in disbelief.

"Incredible… Looks like Bai Luos had a hell of a son."

Benn Beckman was comparatively calmer, but a brief flicker of shock in his eyes betrayed even his composed exterior. For a man who had weathered countless storms, even he hadn't seen this coming.

"He… actually killed them just like that?"

"Isn't that strength… way too ridiculous?!"

"No wonder he turned down the boss's protection. Damn, at his age, to reach this level… He's scarier than Kaido or Whitebeard!"

And it wasn't just the two of them. Every member of the Red-Haired Pirates who had just watched Kizaru and Smoothie fall… couldn't believe their eyes.

They knew exactly how dangerous those two were.

Smoothie's abilities were eerie and deadly—drawing moisture from her enemies to empower herself. In past clashes with the Big Mom Pirates, several Red-Haired members had died under her blade.

As for Kizaru… his speed was already borderline cheating. A single flick from his finger and a laser beam would tear through the battlefield. His movement made it nearly impossible to land a hit, let alone kill him. Most people couldn't fight him—or flee from him. He was a walking nightmare.

But Whiteflame…

This kid had somehow pulled off the impossible. In just moments, he eliminated both.

It defied belief.

"So strong…"

"If Luos could see this, he'd probably be grinning from ear to ear."

Shanks couldn't help but sigh.

Even he had been caught off guard by Whiteflame's terrifying strength.

Shanks knew he wasn't the strongest in the world, but he was no pushover either. Even against monsters like Whitebeard, he could still hold his own. He was confident he could defeat Kizaru and Smoothie—but killing them? That was another matter entirely.

But Whiteflame?

He did it decisively. Ruthlessly. With overwhelming force.

"He wasn't being arrogant… He was just stating the truth."

Shanks now understood why Whiteflame refused his protection, why he claimed these enemies were insignificant.

Whiteflame had backed his words with action—and silenced every doubt.

"That's Jack the Drought's power, isn't it?"

"He actually used Jack's ability on me?!"

"I don't care what it takes—this ends NOW!"

Wind Calamity, more savage than Jack himself, leapt out of the crater. Just as she prepared to strike back, she looked up—only to witness Whiteflame viciously pummeling Smoothie mid-air.

Her words cut off.

Splurt!

A torrent of white-threaded wave speared through Smoothie's chest, pinning her lifeless body in the sky like a trophy. She twitched… then fell limp.

"She… she's dead?!"

Wind Calamity's pupils contracted.

She had fought Smoothie before. Despite a 300 million bounty gap, Smoothie was no weaker than her.

But now… she had witnessed her death with her own eyes.

"So what if she died?!"

"She was weak. I'm Wind Calamity! There's no way a brat like him can beat me!"

"This fight—I'll finish it myself!"

No matter how terrifying the enemy, once Wind Calamity marked a target, she wouldn't stop until one of them was dead.

"ROOOAAARRR!!!"

Letting out a sky-shaking roar, she sprang forward, all four limbs pounding the air like a hurricane, leaping at Whiteflame with blinding speed. Her glowing fangs locked on—she would tear him apart!

"One more left."

From high above, Whiteflame watched the sabertooth tiger come barreling toward him.

"This time… I'll do it myself."

Until now, he'd relied on his IBMs to deal with Wind Calamity.

But this time, he would end it personally.

In just two or three breaths, she had reached him.

Whiteflame raised a hand, attempting to grab and immobilize her.

But Wind Calamity had anticipated that. She twisted mid-air and changed targets—lunging at Whiteflame's side, jaws wide to tear into his ribs.

"This time, you're dead!"

Her eyes gleamed coldly. If she landed this bite, Whiteflame would be finished—a bloody corpse between her fangs.

But just then—

Whiteflame's bandages fluttered upward, and a cold voice echoed above Wind Calamity's head:

"Speed is mass.

Mass is destruction."

"You're already dead."

Wind Calamity's expression shifted in an instant.

But before she could even look up—a foot came crashing down on her skull.

BOOOOOOM!!!

Wind Calamity plummeted like a cannonball, slamming into the earth below. One second later, the shockwave erupted from the point of impact, sending a devastating ripple of dust and debris across the island.

A Massive Threat!

The earth trembled.

The entire island quaked.

A shockwave tore through the ground, dust and smoke surging like ocean waves, spreading outward like ripples in a storm.

Only after reaching a radius of over 100 meters did the dust finally begin to settle, revealing a massive crater.

At its center lay Wind Calamity, unconscious. Blood slowly trickled from her ears, staining the ground beneath her in a widening pool.

Say what you will—in terms of raw durability, even two Kizarus and two Smoothies together wouldn't match Wind Calamity. She was a user of an Ancient Zoan-type Devil Fruit, awakened. Her tenacity and defense were nothing to scoff at.

To take a hit like that from Whiteflame and not have her skull crushed… that alone was astounding.

And with that…

Kizaru of the Marines,

Charlotte Smoothie of the Big Mom Pirates,

Wind Calamity of the Beasts Pirates—

All three were defeated by Whiteflame alone.

This earth-shaking battle had finally come to a close.

"He's too strong…"

"Boss Shanks… I think he might be scarier than you."

Lucky Roux was speechless.

He'd seen epic battles before—like those against the Whitebeard Pirates, where the seas themselves seemed to split.

But what shocked him wasn't just the scale.

It was that Whiteflame, by himself, had crushed three Emperor-class powerhouses in a one-sided massacre.

Who else in the world could do this?

Maybe the current Four Emperors… maybe. But even then, could they do it so cleanly?

"Since the start of the Great Pirate Era—no, since Captain Roger's time—he's the first I've seen like this."

"At this age… to defeat such powerful enemies…"

"His future isn't just beyond me. It's beyond anything we've seen."

Shanks' eyes sharpened, his tone solemn.

"You're right. His future is unimaginable. I can't even picture his limits…"

Benn Beckman's voice trembled slightly.

They had watched it all.

Kizaru. Wind Calamity. Smoothie.

All crushed beneath the feet of a sixteen- or seventeen-year-old kid.

What kind of future awaited such a monster?

No one knew.

But one thing was certain—

From this day on, the name Whiteflame would spread across the world.

And he would become the brightest star of this new era!

"Xiao Hei… devour them all."

Whiteflame's tone was flat. With a single command, 27 IBMs spread out like wild beasts, descending on the still-breathing enemies.

Whiteflame left no loose ends.

No mercy. No risks.

That was how he survived.

Besides, these weren't ordinary enemies.

Each of them was a commander-level powerhouse under a Yonko.

Devouring them would grant him tremendous strength. There was no reason to show mercy.

The surviving Big Mom Pirates were quickly surrounded—including Smoothie's mangled corpse. The IBMs swarmed them, tearing into their flesh without hesitation.

Five IBMs descended into the crater—targeting Wind Calamity.

"Whiteflame. That's enough."

SHING!

Shanks' figure suddenly appeared in front of the unconscious Wind Calamity.

With a flash of steel, he unsheathed his western-style sword—an arc of blade light spilled out like a wave, before the sword returned to its scabbard with a crisp clack.

In that instant—all five IBMs were sliced cleanly through the head and collapsed into smoke.

It was a clean, practiced strike.

He knew their weakness: destroy the head, and the IBM would dissipate instantly.

"You've already won this war. There's no need for more death."

Shanks looked Whiteflame in the eye.

"I understand you're still burning with rage. But you've killed enough. Let it end here."

"…Are you standing against me, Red-Haired?"

Whiteflame stared at Shanks coldly.
