The streets him as car beep and chatter fills the air as Dante walks past a hot dog stand thinking to himself "today is the day I will get that promotion" Dante had been working at a big animation studio nappa it had pretty harsh work environment no breaks no days off and the manager would once in a while lock him and his team in the studio but regardless the pay was enough to live of and Dante didn't really have any friends of his own to begin with Dante thought all these things to himself as he entered the animation studio only to be stopped by someone that someone was his manager Mr Luke with his hand on Dante's shoulder said "Dante your fired pack your things and leave the studio" Dante stood there in pure disbelief "fired why I never took a week or a day off I produce the same amount of work why Luke" suddenly Mr Luke's eyes filled with rage as he called security " how dare a mere worker like you address me so casually I run this studio meaning my word here is equivalent to gospel so get your shit and get out of my fucking studio Dante" dejected Dante began to pack his things he then began to leave the studio and walk home carrying a box of his items as he unlocked the door to his small apartment resting the box on his coffee table as he sits on his couch "shit I've lost my only source of money what am I going to do I have to pay rent like next week what the should I do" suddenly his door bell rang Dante not expecting any visitors walked to the door peeking through the peek hole to she a woman in a suit her hair was done into a bun her skin looked flawless along with face to Dante she was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen suddenly she knocked once more snapping Dante out of his trance like state Dante quickly opened the door "um hello Mrs how my I help you" the woman smiled faintly as she spoke her voice smooth and almost like a song she said "hello Mr Dante i am here to offer you a job opportunity if you may let me in we can discuss it a bit more" Dante nodded opening the door for the woman as he took his seat across the coffee table and spoke "so what is this job opportunity inquiring" the woman still with a picture perfect smile said "this job is for you to take up one of our vacant spots as a God" Dante blinked "um Mrs can you say that again" the woman repeated "our vacant spots as a God of course you won't be left alone we will be creating a custom angel to guide and help you with choices you will have to gain a following to become a better know God the higher the rank the more the pay and you will be allowed to keep the power you have in that world here depending on your rank but I must let you know if you accept and regain a weak God or are forgotten or not worshipped your pay will go to zero gods also gain energy from prayers being known by the masses and also through the dispar of the people at that moment of need so Mr Dante will you accept this job you will gain 10k at the end of the month from today if you accept" Dante sat there stunned at the opportunity he was just given unsure what to say but he knew that his life was going to change for better or for worse as he spoke "I accept" A/N hi guys this is my first try at a novel I hope not to drop it and your support would encourage me a lot my chapter dropping may be bad but if you show enough support I will drop weekly chapters
