The two men were Harold Anderson and Anthony Morgan, both highly experienced in the military, bringing honor to their unit every year, surrounded by a halo of talent and prestige. Naturally, they were a bit prideful. The main reason was Megan Martinez's attitude, which made them sensitive. She had never admired or praised anyone within their ranks, but here she was, lavishly praising an outsider and wanting to invite him into the camp, which was embarrassing for everyone.
I understood why they were so unfriendly. After all, I was asking Megan for a favor to use the military's system and equipment to assess my overall strength. So, I didn't want to retort when their words were barbed.
I simply said to Megan, "Since it's inconvenient, I'll just leave. To be honest, I have a duel in two days, so I need some intense training to either boost myself temporarily or keep my state in optimal condition."
