After hanging up the phone, Emily Thomas pursed her lips. She could only use this way to make Tobby Curry pull himself together; he had to win. Since when had caring for or encouraging someone required such reasons and excuses to be expressed?
Emily Thomas let out a bitter smile.
She was on Tobby's balcony. When Elizabeth Campbell came over, Emily quickly put the phone in her bag.
"Are you sure it's okay for you not to go back for two days? Won't your company's boss take you to court?" Elizabeth asked, holding a fruit platter.
"Did you forget that my family has shares in the company? I'm like a half-boss. When the company started, they needed a powerful singer or artist to support them, so they let me debut. But the boss won't force me. Now that they've signed more newcomers, the company can run normally without me," Emily replied.
"But you're a cash cow now. If your company doesn't squeeze you dry, it wouldn't be an entertainment company," Elizabeth tutted.
