Charles Green opened the trunk, took a quick look, then frowned and stepped aside when he saw me approaching.
The driver saw the badge on my police uniform and realized I was the one in charge here. He offered a cigarette as he asked, "I don't know why you're inspecting my car? Is there something wrong with it?"
I waved off the cigarette and said to Charles Green, "This kind of SUV has a large space, and there's a compartment at the bottom of the trunk that can be designed for storage. Check if it's hollow."
Charles Green was taken aback, then knocked on it and heard a hollow sound. Immediately, he told the others, "Lift it up!"
The driver panicked, "The car isn't mine, I'm just a driver. This car costs over two million. Adam't make it difficult for me; if you take it apart, putting it back won't be the same."
I remained silent and gestured for Charles Green and the others to continue by default.
