Chapter 57 – A Revelation and the Reason
The silence in the shattered sky was heavy, broken only by the distant echoes of the ongoing chaos below. Sera looked at Razan and said:
— I knew Adam might not be able to handle an anomaly like you, one that Hell itself gave birth to. And now looking at you, I can feel your power. Just as Hell created the seven sins, it created you based on the concept of war and destruction.
Razan, looking at Sera and listening to what she's saying, was totally confused.
Razan then asked mentally to the system:
— Hey, system, what the hell is she talking about?
The system said:
— Well, this was my fault, host.
Razan said tiredly:
— Explain what you did.
System said:
— Well, to ensure your survival and prevent you from being hunted as a "foreign body" by the laws of the Hazbin Hotel universe, I executed the Primordial Identity protocol the moment I gave you the Acnologia model.
Razan asked confused:
— Primordial Identity?
System:
— Understand: in this world, power is defined by lineage or sin. A reincarnated human with Acnologia's power would be an anomaly that would attract immediate fury from Heaven and absolute distrust from Hell. That's why I didn't just bring you here; I rewrote the "now".
Razan: You rewrote the now? What the hell are you saying? Speak in simpler terms, please. It's giving me a headache.
System:
— The moment I gave you your power, I created an energy explosion that you didn't feel. It was a simulated energy signature so that all sensors in Hell and Heaven would register your emergence as a native phenomenon. To them, Hell has just "given birth" to a new entity.
Razan said:
— I get it. So you used that so they would feel like I was born here like any other capital sin. Like faking citizenship.
System said:
— Well, not exactly faking. Because if I just faked it, it would be discovered if you came face to face with a being that was really born here. So I made you. Just as the Seven Deadly Sins are the pillars of this realm, I gave you the Concept of War and Destruction. I coded your existence so that Hell would recognize you as its own child.
Sera isn't here because you committed a crime. She's here because, in Heaven's eyes, you are the physical manifestation of everything they fear: the Chaos that Hell created to destroy divine laws.
The day I gave you the power, I gave you a "monster citizenship." I made you the Eighth Pillar. She doesn't see a man in front of her; she sees the Destruction that Hell birthed to end Heaven.
Prepare yourself, host. You are not a stranger in this world. You are the nightmare that I made the world believe Hell created. Use Acnologia's power and prove that the War simulation is real.
Razan, hearing this explanation, only felt the corner of his dragon mouth twitch.
He said to the system:
— You know, man, I don't know if I should be angry about the mess you got me into or happy that you're not irresponsible like most systems that give power to the host and let him figure out how to explain it to the world. Well, but this resolves why Satan is calling me to go to their meeting. Because to them I'm a younger brother who was born. Technically with your operation I really am. If I had to say, it would be that they are from the same father and mother. I only have the same mother as them, practically that, right, system?
System said:
— Correct. In human terms, they are your half-siblings.
Razan sighed:
— Tough dragon life this one I have, huh.
After a few seconds talking to the system and clearing his doubts, he finally knew why Sera wanted to kill him.
Razan looked at Sera and said:
— Take your angels and get out of here, Sera. I don't want to fight.
Sera said:
— I'm sorry, but I can't. Your existence is a threat to Heaven's security. I have to deal with you.
Razan said with his dragon voice:
— So you're wanting a war, seraphim?
Sera said:
— If war is what it takes to kill the very concept of war, so be it.
Razan said:
— As expected from an angel. Always selfish in their convictions, thinking they can use good as an excuse for everything.
Razan then exploded his aura, shaking Hell and said:
— Then let's fight. If war is what you want.
Sera also exploded her golden aura of pure light — a radiant and oppressive celestial glow that clashed with Razan's black aura.
The impact made Hell tremble, the air cracking with sparks of light and darkness colliding, the sky splitting in bursts of energy as the two opposing forces faced each other in a clash that shook reality around them.
