Chapter 67 – A Chaotic but Normal Day

After a while, when Vaggie finally stopped throwing pillows at Razan's face, she asked:

— But do you know why this happened? It was really sudden, after all.

Charlie said:

— Yes, strange. Very strange. We were talking normally and then we just lost control out of nowhere.

Razan became serious and looked at them and said:

— I think someone must have used some kind of potion to make us like that. I just don't know who for sure. But I bet it was an Overlord or someone in a position of power.

Charlie looked sad hearing this and asked:

— But why would someone do something like that? It doesn't make sense.

Razan thought for a moment and said:

— No, the worst part is that it makes a lot of sense if you stop to think about it. After all, this hotel has already gathered a bunch of powerful people: there's a princess of Hell, a Deadly Sin, and an Overlord. It's only missing a Goetia to bring together all the power classes of Hell. Anyone with ambition seeing this would think we must be planning something big and that the hotel is just a front.

Vaggie said:

— Yes. Now everything is easier to understand. But why didn't anyone attack us and use this method? It doesn't make the slightest sense.

Razan said:

— That's the simplest part of the situation. With power, they don't dare make frontal attacks for fear of dying. Charlie is the princess of Hell—touch her and ask Lucifer to come knocking on your door? I'm the eighth sin, the one who defeated Adam and fought Sera. They're not stupid enough to attack me and die. So they probably made this plan. I think they wanted that after what happened, we would start hating each other and then separate. They wanted me and Charlie to no longer be able to stand looking at each other's faces and for me to leave the hotel. That way they would manage to separate us without firing a shot.

Vaggie, hearing this, got angry and punched the bed and said:

— Those filthy bastards always wanting to destroy everything.

Charlie, seeing Vaggie like this, pulled her into her arms and smiled and said:

— That doesn't matter. We proved that our feelings are stronger than their dirty plan to separate us.

Vaggie, seeing Charlie like this, asked:

— Charlie, aren't you angry after something like this happened?

Charlie said:

— Well, I'm a little angry that they tried to destroy our friendship, but I'm not full of hate because this happened to you two.

Razan, seeing this, sighed and said:

— Charlie, you're too good. At this moment you should promise that you're going to find them and kill them all as the princess of Hell.

Charlie said, puffing out her cheeks in anger:

— Well then, I'm going to find them and kill them all.

She said with her cheeks puffed out in anger.

Razan and Vaggie, seeing this, just tiredly accepted that it was impossible for her to act with real anger or hatred.

Razan, seeing this, thought:

But it makes sense. Since it happened to me and Vaggie, it wasn't a traumatic event for her—at most a little embarrassment. She has no reason to hate it, so she can act like this after this situation happened. But they really are a bunch of sons of bitches. How did they not use poison? My dragon body didn't see the potion as something to be destroyed but as something that improves libido. Too bad a dragon's libido was already huge. When you throw an aphrodisiac potion at me it's like throwing fire into a barrel of oil.

Charlie, seeing Razan thinking, said:

— What is it? You're so thoughtful.

Razan smiled and said:

— It's nothing, really. I was thinking about the reasons this potion worked on me.

Vaggie looked at Razan and said:

— There's no point thinking about it anymore now. What happened can't be undone.

Charlie smiled, hugged both of them and said:

— I don't mind. I'm happy.

Vaggie looked at Charlie's happy face and thought:

At least this experience didn't traumatize her. But if I find the Overlord behind this, I swear I'll pierce his heart with my spear.

Razan looked at Vaggie and asked:

— Are you okay?

He touched her shoulder.

Vaggie returned to normal and said:

— Yes, I'm fine.

Razan looked at her and thought:

When I touched her, I felt the tremor—even if small—on her shoulder. I think even though she likes me too, even if not as much as Charlie, she shouldn't have a reaction like that unless it's her reflex from the trauma with Adam. And if that's the case, I'm going to have a hard time truly reaching her heart.

Razan's thought was then interrupted by an explosion outside the hotel. Everyone felt the hotel shake.

Charlie stood up worried and said:

— What was that? Did the angels already decide to start the extermination?

Vaggie held her hand and said:

— Calm down. We can handle it.

Razan said, sniffing the air:

— You can relax. I'm not smelling any angels. It's just a sinner.

Charlie said confused:

— How do you mean smell?

Razan said:

— I'm a dragon. My sense of smell is excellent and since I fought a lot with angels, I remember their smell of light, iron, and blood. So whoever is causing this mess is just a sinner.

Vaggie looked at Razan in shock and asked:

— You can smell angels?

Razan looked at her and, seeing her worried face and knowing what she was thinking, said:

— Yes, I can smell angels.

He looked at her and gave a smile and said:

— But I don't usually use it so as not to invade people's privacy.

Vaggie, hearing this, went quiet, understanding his hint. She looked at him wanting to say something but not knowing what to say.

Charlie said excitedly:

— You two, stop talking. Let's get dressed and go downstairs.

Vaggie looked at Razan and said:

— Razan, turn around. Charlie and I are going to change.

Razan said, not wanting to lose the benefits:

— But we already did everything there was to see. More things now… you're not my girlfriends now?

Vaggie got embarrassed not knowing what to say. She just said:

— Just turn around, you idiot.

Charlie making a sad little face said:

— Please, Razan, turn around. We're still not used to this.

Razan sighed and turned toward the wall and said:

— Alright, I'll do it. And just don't look. I understand, I can do it.

He said frustrated for not seeing the benefits.

Charlie, seeing him like this, smiled and said:

— Yes, thank you very much for understanding.

Vaggie, seeing Razan like that, smiled and said quietly:

— Well, it seems he's not so bad after all.

After getting dressed, everyone went to see what it was.

Arriving in the hotel lobby, they saw an exploded wall.

Razan sighed and said:

— These sinners need to calm down a bit. The hotel is already falling apart and they still help to fuck it up even more.

Charlie made a pout and said:

— Razan, don't say that about the hotel. It may not be in great shape, but it's still a good hotel.

Angel approached and said:

— Well, Flower, I don't know about that. The hotel is pretty run-down.

Vaggie said:

— You two stop creating problems for Charlie.

They then heard a voice:

— Appear, Alastor! I know you're in there!

They then went out to see what was happening and saw a snake in a dirigible.

Razan said looking at Alastor:

— Hey, Alastor, can you ask your friend over there not to keep destroying Charlie's hotel? It's already hard enough to stay standing here alone without someone else helping to destroy it.

Alastor used his shadows and appeared below next to Razan. He then looked at the snake in the dirigible and said:

— No, I don't know him.

Then looked at the snake in the dirigible and said:

— Do I know you by any chance?

In the dirigible, Sir Pentious said:

— What do you mean if you know me? I am master Sir Pentious, inventor and architect of destruction, an extraordinary villain!

Niffty appeared next to Alastor and said impressed:

— Yes, this is bad thing.

Alastor looked at him and said:

— If you're telling the truth, I should know who you are.

Sir Pentious said:

— I attacked you last week. We've fought I don't know, about twenty times.

Alastor said:

— Look, you must be really bad at this.

Sir Pentious shouted:

— Silence! Because when you are dead, the powerful Vees recognized me as equal to them.

Razan seeing all this said:

— Alastor, be nice and let him kill you so he can fulfill his dream.

Alastor said smiling:

— You would like that very much, wouldn't you?

They were interrupted when Sir Pentious shouted:

— Don't ignore me, Alastor! It's time for you to die!

He then tried to fire the cannons, but Alastor used his shadow to hold the dirigible and began to destroy it while laughing.

Razan seeing this said:

— How many lunatics are in this place. But what can you do? It's Hell, right?

Charlie said worried:

— Alastor, I think he already understood. You can stop now.

Angel approached them and said:

— No, I think the little snake can take a little more.

And Sir Pentious then fell from the top of the dirigible straight to the ground.

Alastor looked at him, smiled and said:

— Thank you very much for another forgettable experience.

Razan approached him and poked him with a stick he made of darkness and said:

— Dude, were you still alive there?

Razan then tapped his forehead and said:

— Ah, I forgot. Everyone's already dead, right? I always forget that. Even the afterlife is very confusing. I don't know if we're dead or not.

He then looked at them and said:

— Does anyone know the answer to that?

Angel said:

— Well, you asked a very confusing question. I really don't know the right answer to that.

Alastor said:

— My dear, everyone here is dead. It's not just that one more than others.

He said laughing.

Sir Pentious said:

— Thank you for lowering your guard.

He then pulled a piece of Alastor's clothing.

Alastor looked at him with anger and said:

— You shouldn't have done that.

He then exploded Sir Pentious who flew toward the sky.

Razan seeing this waved his hand and said:

— Come back more often, little snake. I liked you.

He said looking at Sir Pentious flying and disappearing in the sky.

Razan looked at Charlie and Vaggie and said:

— And now it's time for me to solve my problem.

He then opened the portal, entered it and said:

— Charlie, Vaggie, wish me luck not to die.

Seeing Razan disappear into the portal, Charlie said worried:

— Will he be okay?

Vaggie said:

— Don't worry about him. At most he'll take a hell of a beating.

Alastor said:

— So I'm leaving. I have to find a tailor.

Vaggie said:

— Alastor, you can't abandon the hotel like this.

Angel said:

— Yes, who's going to fix that wall?

Alastor said:

— Yes, what rudeness of mine. I can't leave my new project like this. What would people think of me?

He then snapped his fingers summoning some shadows and said:

— So see you later. I'm going now.

Charlie looked at this mess and thought:

Well, it could be worse, right?
