Chapter 29 - Chapter 29: Wait, Senior Sister, What Did You Say Your Name Was?!

"Who… damn it, who is it!"

Zeus, who had peered into the River of Fate yet found no answer, was enraged!

At this moment, the heavens themselves trembled with his fury!

Silvery-white arcs of lightning slithered like serpents across the sky.

Dazzling thunderbolts wove waves of destruction!

For thunder was his symbol, the sky his reflection. He was the King of the Gods!

"He's lost his mind…"

The gods who had initially dismissed Zeus's outburst as one of his usual tantrums,

now including Athena, Apollo, Artemis, and even Queen Hera, all looked up at the sky with furrowed brows!

Not to mention the countless mortals below who paled and fell to their knees, praying for the God-King Zeus to calm his wrath!

"As expected… I really stepped in it big time."

Hecate also lifted her gaze to the raging sky.

Looking down at the unconscious Jason in her arms, her expression was one of utter helplessness.

She now sincerely wished she had never given in to that momentary curiosity and peered into Jason's future!

And now… trouble had truly arrived!

Gazing at Jason in her arms, hesitation filled Hecate's eyes.

As a goddess who wanted nothing to do with complications, her first instinct was naturally to hand him over. If this were discovered, she would be the one to suffer!

After all, to defy fate, Zeus had once swallowed his own wife. The first goddess of wisdom, Metis, who had brought him glory and, through her counsel, made him the God-King she now was!

Thus, Hecate was understandably conflicted.

Yet the answer had already been decided long ago.

The moment she instinctively acted, even paying the price of backlash to conceal that path for Jason, her heart had already chosen.

"…Sigh."

Beneath the furious sky, after an unknown amount of time lost in thought,

Hecate finally lifted Jason into her arms and turned toward the Underworld.

Meanwhile, atop the sacred Mount Olympus,

Zeus, clad in a silver robe, his towering figure like a mountain standing beneath the firmament, had gradually calmed after his outburst.

Thunder still coiled restlessly around him, his expression dark and brooding.

"…Hermes."

"At your command." Hermes appeared at Zeus's side, his usual playful demeanor nowhere to be seen.

"Go summon the three Fates. I must know what is to come!"

"Yes, my lord!"

After Hermes departed, the sky gradually returned to calm.

By then, Hecate had already brought Jason back to her temple in the Underworld.

She laid him on the bed and frowned as she looked at the still-unconscious boy.

She dared bring Jason back to the Underworld because she was confident.

After all, no one would believe a mere human could destroy Olympus… not even she herself believed it at present!

Thus, in the coming days, Zeus would only thoroughly investigate the gods.

Especially Hades, Poseidon, Athena, and Ares!

Moreover, although she had manifested three paths upon Jason, in the eyes of the other gods, his future remained the original fate of Jason.

Hecate could see them only because she was the Goddess of Crossroads, representing chance and possibility, and her power had been exerted upon a mortal.

Though those three paths were broad, the future most likely to occur at present was still Jason marrying Medea and eventually dying aboard his own ship.

Yet even so, to Hecate, this was already shocking enough!

"How… could a human possibly reach such a point?"

Hecate frowned in thought. After a long while, she stood and left the room.

She felt she needed some quiet to think properly.

And she needed to quickly heal the injuries she had sustained to avoid detection.

In truth, in an ordinary Age of Gods, even for a transmigrator without a system, achieving such a future would be impossible.

But this world was different.

This world… was the Type-Moon universe!

Thus, at the very moment Hecate manifested those three paths,

Jason had, by sheer fortune, simultaneously caught the attention of those two little lolis!

In the Type-Moon world, the Age of Gods itself was an era destined for destruction!

...

...

A very long time later,

"Ugh, my head hurts…"

Jason clutched his head and sat up.

The instant he rose,

"Are you alright?"

A pleasant, unfamiliar girl's voice sounded beside his ear.

At the same time, a hand gently supported him.

"Thank you."

Jason replied instinctively, then turned to see a girl he did not recognize. One younger than himself.

She was very beautiful, dressed in a close-fitting pale purple gown, her bluish-purple hair tied into a lively ponytail. Especially when she smiled, she looked extraordinarily cute.

With just one glance, Jason could not help but feel fondness toward her.

After all, no one dislikes a cute and innocent girl.

And this girl was none other than Medea, who had been ordered by Hecate to watch over him!

"Teacher Hecate said that if you woke up, you shouldn't move around too much. She'll be here soon."

After helping Jason sit properly, Medea turned and lightly tapped one of the underworld butterflies waiting quietly nearby, informing Hecate that Jason had awakened.

Jason nodded, then noticed Medea staring straight at him with what seemed like a very happy and excited smile.

Seeing her like this, Jason could not help smiling in return.

"If I'm not mistaken, you must be my senior sister."

Jason remembered both Hecate and Chiron mentioning that Hecate had two other students, both witches.

"Yes! I'm your senior sister, Jason!" Hearing Jason call her senior sister directly, Medea beamed even brighter and nodded repeatedly.

The sight made Jason reach out instinctively to pat her head.

So cute… way cuter than Atalanta.

At the same time, such a thought bubbled up in Jason's mind.

"You know about me, Senior Sister… Right, I still don't know your name…"

"Teacher Hecate talks about you all the time! And you're amazing. I heard you're the one who brought Lady Persephone to the Underworld… Also, no head-patting! I'm your senior sister!"

As she spoke, Medea swatted Jason's hand away, stood on tiptoe, and patted his head instead.

"As for my name, I'm the princess of Colchis. My name is Medea."

"Medea, right? Got it, little Senior Sister Medea… Wait, what did you say your name was?"

Jason's smile gradually faded.

His eyes widened as he stared at the girl who had just introduced herself.

"Hm?" Sensing something odd about Jason, Medea tilted her head in confusion. "I said my name is Medea."

And at that exact moment, the door opened and Hecate walked in.

Thus she perfectly witnessed Jason's expression change.

From confusion, to blank shock, and finally to pure horror as he stared at Medea…

Seeing Jason's horrified face, Hecate's previously irritable mood instantly improved considerably!
