"Mr. Kagaya, let me introduce you. This is Rigurd, the chief of Goblin Village. You two should get to know each other first. You'll be interacting a lot in the future!"
Takumi, who had brought Rigurd to the front of the crowd, directly introduced him to Kagaya Ubuyashiki.
Everyone looked at the muscular man with green skin in front of them. Although they had heard Takumi talk about Goblins before, this was their first close-up encounter.
"Pleasure to meet you, Lord Rigurd! Please guide me in the future!"
Hearing Takumi's introduction, Kagaya Ubuyashiki extended his right hand with a smile. Rigurd, seeing this, also extended his right hand and said happily:
"You are too kind, Lord Kagaya! Please guide me in the future as well!"
Watching the two getting along so well, Takumi quickly interrupted them. If he let them continue, it would be dark by then.
"Alright, you'll have plenty of opportunities to chat later. Let's move on for now."
"Yes! Lord Takumi!"
As the group arrived at the entrance of Goblin Village, the Goblins discussed animatedly as they watched the crowd.
"Are these the people Lord Takumi brought back? There are so many!"
"It's my first time seeing humans!"
"Those humans with swords look so strong!"
In fact, it wasn't just the Goblins; the Demon Slayer Corps members were also discussing animatedly.
"Wow, so many Goblins!"
"Brother! Brother! Look at that Goblin, she's so cute!"
Kamado Nezuko pointed at a Goblin girl holding a short sword and excitedly tugged at Tanjiro.
"Nezuko! Be polite!" Mrs. Kamado gently corrected.
As both sides entered the village, the Goblins set up a temporary stage. Takumi stepped onto it and spoke loudly:
"Everyone! From today on, we are one family. Do not look at our new human companions with strange eyes. Understand?"
"Yes! Lord Takumi!"
Satisfied, Takumi nudged Rimuru.
"Rimuru, say a few words too. You're also the village's leader."
"Hah?! Me too? Isn't Takumi enough?!" Rimuru panicked.
"You're also responsible," Takumi insisted, picking her up.
Under pressure, Rimuru reluctantly delivered a short speech.
Goblin Village · Temporary Conference Room
Inside a large tent brought from the Demon Slayer World, the first joint development meeting officially began.
On the Goblin side sat Village Chief Rigurd, Kajin, Riguru, and Gobuta.
On the Demon Slayer side sat Kagaya Ubuyashiki and the Hashira.
Rimuru sat at the head of the table, Ranga crouched at her side, and Takumi at the opposite head.
"Ahem! I declare the meeting open! Topic: future development. Speak freely!" Rimuru announced.
Rigurd raised a concern:
"Lord Rimuru, since the arrival of the Demon Slayer Corps, our food is insufficient. And our population is too large for the current housing."
Rimuru scratched her head.
"That's… quite a problem. Anyone have ideas?"
Kagaya Ubuyashiki spoke calmly:
"Lord Rimuru, I do have some proposals."
Rimuru's eyes shone.
"Please say it!"
"First, what is the current population?" Kagaya asked.
Rigurd replied, "Including Goblins and the Ranga clan, a total of 1531."
Takumi was shocked at how fast the village had grown in his absence.
Kagaya continued:
"My Demon Slayer Corps—including families—numbers 1822. The total population is now above 3000.
As for food, I brought enough to feed 2000 people for half a year. Combined with the village's stock, we will have at least four months.
By planting the crop seeds I brought, we should become self-sufficient by then."
Rimuru's eyes sparkled. "That solves food!"
Kagaya went on:
"For housing, before arriving here, I prepared many tents. Since it is summer, we can live in them while constructing proper homes.
And regarding construction—no offense—Goblin houses are too crude. I recommend rebuilding the entire village layout.
Many Demon Slayer families include skilled construction workers; this will not be an issue."
Rigurd responded graciously:
"You speak truth, Lord Kagaya. No offense taken."
Kagaya respectfully bowed his head.
"Thank you for your understanding. Next, as for weapons—Lord Rimuru, you requested blacksmiths?"
Rimuru pointed at Kajin.
"That's Kajin, a legendary Dwarf Kingdom blacksmith. But he's only one person, so I hope your smiths can cooperate with him."
Kagaya nodded immediately.
"We will follow all arrangements."
The Hashira echoed:
"We will follow all directives!"
Rimuru blushed and waved her tiny hands.
"Ahhh, don't be so formal!"
Everyone laughed.
Takumi clapped his hands.
"Alright, enough teasing Rimuru—we need to conclude the meeting."
"Yes!" all answered.
The meeting continued with new proposals, the first blueprint of what would later become—Dimensional City, the cradle of a new high-tech, multi-race civilization led jointly by Takumi and Rimuru.
