Chapter 2 - Chapter 1: Descending to the Mortal World… Again

For most gods, descending to the mortal world was a grand event.

Lightning cracked. Clouds trembled. Mortals fell to their knees in awe.

For me, Lin Xuan Immortal God of Eternity, Former Transmigrator, Current Sufferer of Extreme Boredom the descent was more like stepping out of bed after a long nap.

A portal of golden light opened beneath my feet.

I stared at it blankly.

"…Again?" I muttered.

My divine attendant, Yue, floated beside me with the same panicked expression she always wore whenever I made decisions without thinking. Which was often.

A beauty that bordered on the divine an ethereal presence that made her stand out even among immortals. Her long white hair flowed like silver silk, complementing her deep crimson eyes that held warmth and an unfathomable depth rarely seen in immortals. Tall and slender, her figure carried a natural grace that made every movement appear effortless, like flowing moonlight. Despite her serene elegance, an undeniable strength rested beneath her delicate features, giving her the aura of a goddess who inspired both awe and admiration.

Which made it all the more amusing that she looked one sigh away from collapsing whenever I spoke.

"Master, please reconsider," she pleaded in that elegant voice that contrasted her stressed out expression. "The mortal realm is chaotic, dangerous, and unpredictable"

"Good," I interrupted. "Maybe I'll feel something."

She twitched. "But last time you descended, you caused a three month long solar eclipse just by sighing."

"That was an accident."

"You sneezed."

"…Powerful allergies."

"Master," she groaned, "your godly form should we seal it? Limit it? Suppress it slightly?"

I waved a hand lazily. "No need. I'm keeping everything."

Somewhere in the divine realm, ten elders probably fainted at those words. Again.

Without another word, I stepped into the portal.

A Few Seconds Later…

I opened my eyes.

A quiet forest greeted me. Birds chirped. Leaves rustled. A gentle breeze caressed my new human like face.

I glanced down at myself and allowed a small smirk.

I looked perfect.

Strikingly handsome, with a tall, well-proportioned frame that exuded both confidence and presence. My long, jet-black hair shone like polished silk in the sunlight, and my deep black eyes carried intensity and mystery, effortlessly drawing attention. Every detail from the sharpness of my jaw to the quiet strength in my posture radiated a calm, captivating charm. If mortals had been here to see me, they would likely be speechless. Or dead from shock. Either was acceptable.

I nodded approvingly.

"Not bad. Peaceful. Mediocre. Perfectly boring."

The kind of environment that matched the title of my so-called life.

But just as I took a step, the ground trembled.

Boom.

Trees shook violently. Birds flew in terror. A wave of spiritual energy burst outward.

I blinked.

"…Did I do that?"

"YES, MASTER!" Yue cried as she materialized beside me, crimson eyes wide as she clutched her head. "You just released some of your aura!"

"Oh."

I paused.

"My bad."

She groaned louder. "If this is only the beginning, the mortal realm won't survive a week!"

"That's why I came here," I said calmly. "Humans are fragile. Maybe they'll help me recover my emotions."

"By scaring them to death!?"

"Possibly."

Yue buried her face in her hands. Even that simple movement flowed with divine grace.

I stretched, testing my mortal-like body.

Not fully mortal. Not fully divine.

Just enough of both to experience the world… while keeping all my power.

"Let's see," I murmured. "Where do humans usually begin their boring daily lives?"

"Towns? Villages? Schools?" Yue muttered, already regretting everything.

"Good. Let's go to the nearest one."

I took a step accidentally kicking a boulder.

The boulder instantly turned to dust.

"…Oops."

"MASTER!" Yue screeched, divine beauty and divine frustration perfectly blended.

I scratched my cheek, embarrassed. "I'll… work on controlling my strength."

And so, with the power to accidentally erase continents still coursing through my veins, I walked forward ready to begin the most boring adventure of my immortal life.
