Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: I Trusted You

Mianmian stormed toward the club, fury burning in her chest.

"Wang Hao!" she shouted the moment she got close to him

He paused, slowly turning around, only to be slammed in the head by Mianmian's bag. Caught off guard, he staggered and crashed to the ground.

Gasps exploded around them. People outside the club whipped out their phones, recording instantly.

"Wang Hao" the lady clinging to him earlier cried out.

Wang Hao's face drained of all color. He scrambled to his feet in a panic.

Mianmian's heart clenched as she recognized the lady clinging to him, Rachel Li, one of her coursemates.

"Mianmian, this isn't what you think. Trust me," Wang Hao said gently, reaching out as if he could calm the storm inside her.

Her eyes shimmered. "You're… cheating on me? With Rachel?"

Wang Hao lowered his head.

That tiny movement was all the confirmation she needed.

Mianmian shoved him, her tears spilling freely. "Why would you do this, Wang Hao? I trusted you!"

"Oh Jesus, Mianmian, please!" Wang Hao suddenly snapped. "Three years, three years of dating you, and what did I even get? Nothing! You can't even satisfy your own boyfriend. You rarely let me touch you, you never give me what I want. And Rachel actually knows how to treat a man. So excuse me if I find pleasure elsewhere when my girlfriend refuses to!"

Rachel lifted her chin with a smug sneer, clearly pleased he didn't deny her in public.

Mianmian stared at him, stunned. His words felt like grime being thrown at her.

"You are a disgusting jerk," she whispered. "And thank God I never let you lay a hand on me. I would've been nauseated for life. Yuqi warned me about you… and I didn't listen. So you know what?"

With the last sentence she stepped forward.

Before Wang Hao could react, she drove her right knee straight into his groin.

His scream tore through the crowd.

Then she seized his left arm, twisted it sharply, and a sickening crack echoed as the bone snapped. He collapsed, howling in agony.

Rachel shrieked and rushed to him, joined by his stunned friends.

Around them, murmurs rose.

"Damn, she's cool."

"He deserved every bit of that."

"Oh, this is going viral for sure."

Mianmian brushed imaginary dust off her hands, her expression cold and unreadable.

"Why would you do that?" Rachel shouted from where she knelt beside him.

Mianmian walked past her without even sparing her a full glance.

"He needed a reminder," she said evenly, "of exactly who he should never mess with. Now shut your mouth. You don't get a line in this scene."
