Kael descended from the summit to the palace rather quickly as Sisi kept screaming. He mischievously picked up his pace while making sure she stayed steady on his back.
It was safe, but for a human like Sisi, it was a terrifying experience.
Once they arrived at the palace grounds, Kael put her down.
However, Sisi's legs trembled and gave out beneath her. She nearly collapsed to her knees before Kael caught her by the waist and sneered, "How weak. Why are you scared of going down the summit? With me by your side, you'll be just fine."
Sisi shot him a glare, but the Beast King feigned ignorance and merely gave her a taunting grin.
"If you can't walk on your own, how about another piggyback?" Kael offered.
Sisi tried to push against his chest to separate them and said grimly, "Next time, I'll climb down that summit on my own. You scoundrel!"
Kael laughed with full mirth. It was rare for him to see this side of Sisi, and it only made him want to tease her even more.
