The first thing he wanted to do once he reached the kingdom was check on Sisi and Jojo. Though he knew the palace defense was nearly impenetrable, he was still worried about them, especially now that Jojo was blind.
Kael wasn't worried about Jojo's blindness, though. He knew it wasn't permanent, and he guessed his son had regained his sight by now and that the golden eyes were gone.
'Why are you so sure that he'll be fine? Didn't you have a constant burning sensation under your skin when you first awakened your power?' the curse mentioned. 'I bet your son is in constant agony right now, wishing he'd die rather than suffer through it.'
Again, Kael tried to ignore this chattering box of nonsense inside his head, but he couldn't deny that he grew a little worried about Jojo.
Thus, he hastened his pace to reach the palace sooner, so he could make sure that Jojo and Sisi were alright.
