Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Meeting of the Five Gods

Chapter 1: The Meeting of the Five Gods

In the cold, desolate, and boundless universe, there existed a vast seven-colored sphere of light — the Realm of Gods.

Within this realm, clouds and mist rolled endlessly like ocean waves. These were no ordinary clouds, but condensations of pure primordial energy. The heavenly energy here was so dense that it had materialized, creating a sea of light and fog visible even to the naked eye.

At the center of this divine expanse stood a magnificent golden palace — the Divine Realm Committee, the highest authority within the God Realm. It was governed by five God-King level beings, responsible for overseeing every matter concerning the realm.

The palace was octagonal in shape, and the walls shimmered with countless visions — scenes from the one hundred and eight planets under their jurisdiction. Through this, the Divine Council continuously monitored the lower worlds.

At the round table within the hall sat five figures.

Two of them, cloaked in black and white light, sat on either side of the head seat. Their radiance concealed their forms, making it impossible to see their faces.

To their left sat three others: one in purple, one in green, and one in red.

On the far left was a man in a deep purple cloak. His face was hidden beneath his hood, and only two faintly glowing crimson lights could be seen within — his eyes.

In the middle sat a woman in a light green dress, her expression calm and kind. Though not breathtakingly beautiful, she emanated a soft warmth that put others at ease.

On the far right sat a man clad in dark red armor. His expression was cold, his presence imposing, as if untouched by emotion.

These five were the supreme beings of the God Realm — the Evil God King, the Kind Goddess, the Destruction God King, the Life Goddess, and the Asura God King.

The Kind Goddess was the first to speak, her voice calm yet tinged with melancholy.

"At our peak, the God Realm had five God Kings, thirty-two first-level main gods, four hundred and twenty second-level gods, three thousand third-level gods, and countless Celestial Hunters and Divine Officials beneath them.

"However, the war of the Dragon Gods hundreds of years ago caused catastrophic damage. Though none of the God Kings perished, twelve first-level gods fell, more than two hundred second-level gods died, and over a thousand third-level gods were lost. As for the lower-ranked officials and hunters — their casualties were countless."

She sighed softly.

"A few hundred years in our realm equates to hundreds of thousands of years in the mortal world. Even after all this time, our vitality has yet to recover."

The Evil God King leaned back slightly, his voice deep and steady.

"If mortals in the lower realms can only ascend to godhood once every ten thousand years, the God Realm will never recover its strength. To rebuild our foundation, we must locate the divine essences left behind by those who fell during the Dragon God War — and see if their shattered divine positions can be restored."

The Kind Goddess nodded.

"At our last meeting, I asked each of you to command your subordinate deities to search the lower realms for traces of fallen gods. Has anyone found anything?"

The Life Goddess smiled faintly.

"I'll begin. According to the Sea God's report, he sensed the divine power of the Goddess of Love on the Sun and Moon Continent of the lower realm, Douluo Star."

At the mention of that name, the Kind Goddess's eyes flickered.

The Goddess of Love had once been one of her first-level subordinates. During the Dragon God War, she was deceived by the enemy, mistakenly believing that her lover had betrayed her. Stricken with grief, her divine heart shattered, and she perished somewhere unknown. No one expected her traces to resurface now.

The Life Goddess continued, "Yes, it's her. The Goddess of Love fell on the Sun and Moon Continent, and the place where she died became known as Qiankun Asking Love Valley."

The Kind Goddess's expression softened.

"She wasn't slain, merely heartbroken. That means her divine soul and essence may still be intact. With our power, reviving her — or at least restoring her divine position — shouldn't be impossible."

But the Life Goddess's smile faded slightly.

"Kindness, I'm afraid things aren't that simple."

The Kind Goddess frowned. "Oh? What do you mean?"

The Life Goddess sighed.

"After the Sea God discovered her resting place, he tried to enter, but was blocked by her lingering divine power. Later, I went there myself, but even I was repelled.

"Though the Goddess of Love has fallen, her divine will remains — rejecting all deities, even us. Even if you went personally, you'd likely be stopped as well.

"Of course, we could force our way in, but doing so would completely destroy the remaining divine essence."

The Kind Goddess fell silent for a long moment before murmuring, "That complicates things."

The Destruction God King finally spoke, his cold tone cutting through the silence.

"Still, the divine essence of the Goddess of Love remains intact. Now that it has been located, it's only a matter of time before her divine position is restored. Let's move on. Has anyone found other fallen gods? My subordinates have yet to uncover any clues."

The Life Goddess shook her head. "Aside from the Goddess of Love, my subordinates have found nothing else."

The Kind and Evil God Kings exchanged glances and both said, "Neither have ours."

Their gazes then turned to the only one who had remained silent since the meeting began — the Asura God King.

The Kind Goddess asked, "Asura, what about you?"

The Asura God King slowly looked up, his crimson eyes meeting theirs. He stood and said in a calm, heavy tone, "My subordinates have indeed found information — and not just one."

"More than one?"

The other four God Kings were taken aback.

The Kind, Evil, and Destruction God Kings had found nothing. The Life Goddess had discovered only one trace — the Goddess of Love. Yet Asura had found at least two.
