Chapter 40 - The Arrival of Killua and Gon

Undoubtedly, with the match against Riehlvelt concluding and Allen achieving three consecutive, overwhelming victories, he had thoroughly become the star of the 200th floor of Heavens Arena.

Both the enthusiastic spectators and the half-baked fighters on the 200th floor realized that this was a genuine "force to be reckoned with," and his Nen abilities were extremely complex and variable.

Coupled with his terrifying reflexes and solid foundational skills, even the Floor Masters would likely struggle to win against him.

In the beginning, there were still a few arrogant, or perhaps simply fearless, fighters who sought him out, challenging him by name.

But as the number of unlucky souls turned into cocoons and devoured by the Red Dragon increased, the challenges began to dwindle.

Eventually, the more sinister and cunning fighters collaborated, inciting and encouraging new arrivals, who had just been promoted from lower floors and hadn't even awakened Nen, to challenge Allen. Their aim was to quickly push him to complete his ten consecutive wins and cause trouble for the Floor Masters.

However, much to their surprise, after giving these newcomers the "initiation" into Nen, Allen immediately conceded the match on the spot, choosing to drop back down to the first floor to climb back up again.

This approach not only stunned the fighters on the 200th floor but even the management of Heavens Arena could hardly believe it.

After all, the goal of most fighters who reached the 200th floor was to become a Floor Master and participate in the world martial arts tournament held every two years.

But Allen, on the contrary, completely ignored the position of Floor Master, which symbolized glory, and showed not the slightest hint of attachment upon leaving the ring.

Meanwhile, Bodoro, having undergone systematic learning and training, also stepped into the ring for the first time, fighting a fellow Enhancer and easily winning the match.

Thus, amidst the outside commotion, a month passed without them realizing it.

When Allen fought his way back to the 200th floor for the third time, two unexpected visitors also arrived at Heavens Arena.

They were none other than Killua Zoldyck and Gon Freecss, who had recently left the Zoldyck Family's home base.

"Wow! It's so tall! And so many people! Is this the Heavens Arena?" Gon exclaimed, his eyes wide with curiosity.

Coming from the isolated environment of Whale Island, this was the first time he had witnessed such a lively scene.

"That's right. This is Heavens Arena. I'll tell you a secret: when I was little, my dad dumped me here, and it took me about two years to fight my way up to the 200th floor," Killua whispered mysteriously into his friend's ear.

"Two years? It takes that long!" Gon was visibly surprised.

Killua shrugged indifferently and explained, "Well, I was only six years old back then, so it naturally took longer. But now, it should only take a few days. Besides, didn't you push open the Testing Gate too? I bet dealing with contestants below the 150th floor will only require a strong push."

"What are we waiting for? Let's go sign up quickly!"

Being impatient, Gon couldn't hide anything on his mind. Without another word, he dragged his friend toward the registration desk.

In a little while, the two youngsters, holding their numbers, began their rapid ascent.

Although they hadn't yet learned Nen, they possessed natural talents far beyond the reach of ordinary people.

Killua, who had received strict assassin training since childhood, naturally needed no introduction. If he got serious, many fighters on the 200th floor would likely be killed instantly.

And while Gon hadn't received systematic training, his long-term close contact with nature gave him the keen perception of a wild beast. His speed, agility, strength, and flexibility far surpassed those of most adult males.

Coupled with the recent specialized training that allowed him to push open the several-ton Testing Gate, most fighters couldn't even withstand a light push from him.

In just three days, they effortlessly arrived at the 190th floor.

Just as the two were preparing to complete their final match to reach the 200th floor, they suddenly saw a boy about their age holding a ticket for a 200th-floor match and shouting excitedly, "Thank you so much, Wing-sensei! I can't believe Allen has a new match scheduled right after returning to the 200th floor! And his opponent is a Floor Master!"

"Heh heh, this is a reward for your diligent training these past few days. Furthermore, having a goal to admire and chase after isn't a bad thing for you," the bespectacled man said, patting the boy's shoulder approvingly.

It was obvious that these two were Zushi, who was currently training, and Wing, the Assistant Master of Shingen-ryu kung fu.

"Oh! Don't worry, I won't disappoint you." Zushi bowed deeply, his eyes shining with excitement and anticipation.

Ever since watching a few of Allen's matches, he had completely fallen in love with his ever-changing fighting style and his calm, cool, and intelligent nature.

Currently, his greatest wish was to complete his training, stand in the ring on the 200th floor, and fight his idol.

"That's the spirit! Go and participate in your match today; checking the time, it should be almost your turn," Wing urged with a smile.

Watching the master and disciple walk away, Killua was the first to speak. "Hey, Gon! Did you hear that? They mentioned Allen!"

"Yeah! I heard it! And it sounds like he has a match! Should we go watch?" Gon suggested, his eyes gleaming.

"Why ask? Of course, we should go! But first, we have to finish our match today. See you later."

Saying this, Killua looked up at the contestant announcement board and, without hesitation, dashed toward his designated ring.

When he leaped onto the stage, he realized his opponent was none other than the boy he had just seen.

"Pleased to meet you!" Zushi offered a bow first.

"Hi."

The easy-going Killua was clearly not good at dealing with this kind of formality and smiled awkwardly, waving his hand.

In his eyes, this peer standing before him couldn't possibly be his opponent. He could easily dispatch him with a single blow, so there was no need for introductions.

Thus, the moment the referee gave the signal, Killua instantly flashed behind Zushi at extreme speed, raised his hand-blade, and struck down, aiming at the back of the boy's vulnerable head.

Thud!

Poor Zushi fell straight to the ground, his head colliding heavily with the stone slab.

"Ah, it's over."

Killua confidently prepared to turn and leave.

But before he could take two steps, he found that Zushi, who should have been unconscious, quickly got back up. He resumed his fighting stance, roaring as he charged forward to attack.

This kid is surprisingly durable.

Killua didn't waste words. He instantly flashed again, using his speed and footwork to circle behind him, and delivered an even heavier hand-blade chop.

Bang!

This time, Zushi tumbled two full rotations on the ground before collapsing.

The stone slab on the floor even showed severe cracks.

If it had been an ordinary person, that blow would have been enough to burst their brain and kill them instantly.

But incredibly, Zushi climbed to his feet once more. He placed his right fist near his groin, took a deep breath, and let out a chilling roar.

"Haahhhhh!!!"

Damn it! What is this feeling?

As a massive amount of Aura converged onto his fist, Killua keenly sensed the presence of Nen and quickly backed away.

Although he couldn't yet see it, having been conditioned by his older brother Illumi, he became extraordinarily cautious when facing anything that could potentially threaten his life.

Unfortunately, before Zushi could execute the technique, Wing, sitting in the stands, suddenly let out a deafening shout of rage: "ZUSHI!!!"

The next moment...

Zushi, who was still charging his Aura, immediately stopped his action, his eyes filled with regret and reluctance.

In the end, Killua won the victory by reaching the knockout point first. Filled with questions and confusion, he left the ring alone.
