Chapter 50 - Have You Ever Been Hit by the Speed of Sound?

If Hisoka's Nen ability perfectly embodied the idea that "what suits you is best," then Allen's exhibited a constantly emerging, complex, and ever-changing power like a "kaleidoscope."

Whether it was the Invisible Left Arm, which once belonged to Sadaso, the Nen used by Gido to strengthen an object's rotation, or Riehlvelt's high-speed movement akin to a jet engine, all were maximized in Allen's hands.

Furthermore, many other Nen abilities, which he had stolen from other fighters and then secondarily developed himself, also made their appearances in this match.

This multitude of interesting Nen abilities undoubtedly made Hisoka, the battle maniac, feel an unprecedented thrill. He couldn't help but grin, praising, "Amazing! Truly magnificent! You really are the most delicious fruit I've cultivated myself! And your ability is virtually identical to someone else I know!"

"Are you referring to Chrollo Lucilfer, the leader of the Phantom Troupe, and his ability, Skill Hunter?" Allen asked with genuine interest.

"Oh? You know about Chrollo's ability too?" A hint of surprise flashed across Hisoka's face.

After all, while the Phantom Troupe were A-rank wanted criminals, the outside world didn't know much about them, especially their leader's ability to steal others' power, a secret known only to a very select few.

Allen nodded slightly: "Yes, I do.

"And I need to correct you: Chrollo's ability is less about stealing someone's Nen and more about temporarily stealing the right to use it.

"Not only can he not use, improve, or strengthen it as freely as I can, but once the original owner of the ability dies, the power he stole will vanish from the book.

"Of course, if the deceased has an incredibly strong will to preserve their Nen, that's another story.

"Simply put, his raw strength isn't actually that formidable; he relies more on intellect and wisdom to fight, and he must identify his opponent and make extensive preparations beforehand.

"If you want to fight him, it's best not to give him any time to prepare."

"Oh my! What incredible intelligence gathering! Even I didn't know those secrets." Both of Hisoka's eyes instantly gleamed.

Before encountering Allen, the person he most wanted to fight was Chrollo. He even joined the Phantom Troupe just to find an opportunity to be alone with the leader. Unfortunately, the extremely cautious Chrollo never gave him that chance.

"There are many secrets in this world. In fact, the world we inhabit is merely a tiny fraction of a vast existence. Who can possibly be omniscient and omnipotent? But there is one thing I am absolutely certain of: the current you cannot defeat me. Everything you're doing is merely an attempt to prolong this battle as much as possible, constantly savoring the thrill of brushing past death. Isn't that right?"

With that, Allen instantly concentrated his Nen into his eyes, using Gyo, and immediately saw the lines of pink gum, Bungee Gum, that were hidden on his body by In.

These were all secretly stuck on him by Hisoka during their rapid exchanges.

To prevent premature detection, he only stuck tiny amounts each time, but they had now gradually coalesced into large patches, sticking his hands and feet together, making movement impossible.

"That's right! But when did you notice my little tricks?" Hisoka countered, a mad smile plastered on his face.

"I noticed from the very beginning. Also, you seem to have enhanced your ability. The old you couldn't manipulate this many threads of Bungee Gum, nor could you detach them from your body." Allen explained casually, seemingly unconcerned about the pink gum binding his limbs.

"Then why didn't you dodge them?"

Hisoka narrowed his eyes, releasing a chilling burst of killing intent all over his body.

"Because there was no need. I need to make you clearly understand that you and I are no longer Nen users of the same level. The power I currently possess is vastly superior to yours. No matter what petty trick you use, you cannot cross this insurmountable chasm."

The moment the words fell…

Allen directly used the Insignia of the Alliance, an item he had equipped.

Instantly…

The highly resilient and elastic gum that had been stuck to his hands and feet was disintegrated by some unknown force on the spot, quickly dissipating into the air.

The ability of the Alliance Insignia is to remove all stuns, slowdowns, and movement impairing effects upon use.

Unfortunately, Bungee Gum qualified under two of those three categories, and was thus inevitably dispelled.

Seeing this, Hisoka's pupils instantly dilated. He muttered to himself in disbelief, "How is that possible! You actually destroyed my Nen! No! Wait, it wasn't just destruction, you made them disappear into thin air."

"Don't be so surprised. In the world of Nen abilities, nothing is impossible. Now, it's time for this game to conclude."

As the final word left his mouth, Allen once again used his highly developed supersonic movement ability, rushing forward with a boom.

Although Hisoka still wanted to use his gum-like ability for simultaneous interception and quick relocation, unfortunately, the instant his body was about to be pulled away, a giant hand appeared out of nowhere, forcing him to activate another thread and execute an emergency dodge.

At the same time, Allen no longer simply used the jet-like aura for linear acceleration as he had earlier. Halfway through his charge, he performed an emergency stop, turned, emergency stopped again, and turned again...

He skillfully dodged all the hidden Bungee Gum threads in the air and, with a whoosh, appeared less than half a meter away from Hisoka.

Staring at Hisoka's shocked and speechless clown face, Allen asked meaningfully, "Have you ever been hit by the speed of sound?"

"Hm ha ha ha ha ha! No! Bring it on! Let me feel it!"

A pervert truly is a pervert!

Facing this potentially fatal crisis, Hisoka didn't start to feel fear or despair like most fighters in Heavens Arena. Instead, he burst into maniacal laughter, simultaneously spreading his arms to openly accept his defeat and willing to pay the ultimate price.

"As you wish!"

Allen unceremoniously amplified the jet-like aura on his arms and began to wildly swing his fists at a speed indiscernible to the naked eye, pummeling his opponent like a practice dummy.

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!

Due to the extreme speed, every punch instantly broke the sound barrier, generating deafening roars and white shockwaves, causing all the spectators in the stands to collectively rise and stare dumbfounded at the astonishing high-speed assault in the ring.

With just the first punch, Hisoka's Ken-reinforced Bungee Gum defense were declared failures, managing only a slight cushioning effect.

Immediately after, the skin, muscles, and bones on his body were all completely crushed and torn apart by the terrifying speed of the fists. Finally, he fell stiffly onto the ring like a tattered puppet, clinging to only half a breath of life.

Of course, Allen wasn't unscathed. Using supersonic punches was a massive burden and source of damage to his own body. In just two or three seconds, he had lost over six hundred health points.

Without the protection of the Hunter class template, his arms would have been 100% crippled.

At times like this, his desire to acquire the life essence of the high-level Chimera Ants, especially the Royal Guards and the King, who have undergone genetic modification and enhancement, only grew stronger.

In fact, after the Red Dragon had consumed so many cocoons, Allen's body had already surpassed human limits under the enhancement of a large amount of life essence, slowly developing the bloodline power belonging to the Night Elves.

But unfortunately, this change was not instantaneous. It required a long period of time to digest and slowly restructure his internal organs, muscles, and bones.

Simply put, the life essence was equivalent to a powerful tonic that could increase his potential. The benefits would only become evident after a considerable period of post-consumption training and exercise.
