Chapter 132 - Chapter 132

Waking at six AM Shimura Danzo silently rose from the wooden bed with only a thin mat instead of mattress. He took his wooden cane and limping went to the courtyard for a cold shower.

The Root leader's house—and one of Konoha's strongest shinobi—resembled a poor man's hut. Besides a large assortment of various books and scrolls his modest dwelling had nothing outstanding. Only a wooden bed, one table, and several chairs. The only thing showing the owner's status was a kitchen filled with countless fuinjutsu.

One of Shimura Danzo's few passions was fishing and subsequent preparation of incredible fish dishes. That's why he needed a high-class kitchen. Otherwise he was quite cold toward food—limiting himself to rice and few vegetables.

After washing Danzo began morning exercises—working his body through severe pain. His numerous old and new wounds didn't allow the old shinobi a measured life—forcing him to fight the ailment with his own strength.

Many young shinobi underestimated the old wolf—seeing only a frail old man; Danzo didn't hurry to dissuade them preferring to stay in the shadows and not reveal true power.

He rarely made a move but deep inside liked seeing the reaction of those underestimating him when the seemingly frail old man demonstrated supersonic speed and beheaded Elite Jonin without much trouble.

Such feats greatly affected his health; the old man tried using full power only in extreme cases—preferring numerous intrigues or enemy destruction via Root.

Quickly breakfasting Shimura Danzo headed to work—nodding to bowing passersby. He lived in a quite elite Konoha district—so most "neighbors" were from Root Anbu. In his life he survived many assassination attempts and responsibly approached personal safety. But bodyguards weren't needed—there were no suitable candidates under his command capable of repelling a deadly assassination on a Kage-level shinobi.

By eight AM Danzo was already in his office—beginning to read reports from the previous evening and night. If something incredibly important was there he would have been informed long ago—so he read the reports on the table without much interest.

"Nakayama Family?.. Unknown illusionary influence?.. Couldn't approach their base?.." Danzo pondered—tapping a finger on the table.

"Takashi," he said emotionlessly.

"Yes lord," Saito Takashi replied respectfully entering his office.

"Transfer all information on this matter to administration. If they learn something interesting—report to me."

"Yes sir!" Takashi reported and disappeared from the room with the report. Though long risen in service hierarchy—all Shimura Danzo's orders were mandatory for him.

Left alone Danzo continued tapping his finger on the table—thinking.

"Hiashi won't let Root approach this matter even a step… Apparently I'll have to wait my turn—as always…"

After Kenshin recovered he first strengthened his fortress walls. Kasumi and Natsumi were sent inside with the task of activating simplest household formations.

Even at the design stage of the new refuge Kenshin applied almost all simplest formations in needed places—only activation and connection to the energy node remained.

While applying formations Ichiro and Fifteenth with their squads performed bodyguard function for father. All except commanders were sent in various directions to detect the enemy in advance and not let them approach too close.

"Kenshin darling—you need to rest!" Hitomi insisted—hands on hips, wrinkling her nose. Her large breasts swayed several times; wide hips temptingly took ideal position.

Seeing such incredible beauty before him Kenshin couldn't help smiling. His fatigue retreated a bit; he tenderly hugged his beautiful wife and lightly kissed her lips.

For Ichiro and Fifteenth standing nearby such displays of father's love toward other women were perceived completely normally. Father's wives carried sacred meaning for brothers—embodying everything brightest and primarily new life.

Kenshin wasn't embarrassed showing signs of love to wives in front of sons but observed propriety. He still remembered the shock when in past life as a little boy he had a nightmare and without hesitation ran to parents' room—seeing what no child should see.

He didn't think it would somehow shake the "system"-enveloped sons' psyche but wanted a traditional family and had to observe some propriety. That's why in the new fortress the division into "parental" and "children's" wings took a more visible form. Now even wives who gave birth had to sleep in separate rooms; future children were even more protected from what they shouldn't see.

"Everything's fine with me…" Kenshin replied tenderly—kissing his beauty again.

Hitomi blushed slightly but silently continued following him—ready any minute to provide medical help.

Kenshin continued working until late evening—strengthening the entire wall fifteen times. The wall created by the "system" at the fifth level of "Create Refuge" skill was already incredibly strong—capable of withstanding a weak Jonin's full-power strike—and now became even stronger; by Kenshin's estimates capable of withstanding any strongest Jonin's attack. Besides Kenshin made sure the wall's outer side had chakra-repelling properties—not allowing any shinobi to walk on it.

He perfectly understood a twenty-meter wall wasn't an obstacle for strong shinobi but mostly the wall was intended for a small head start and absorbing random techniques. In the future he planned to strengthen so much that even an Elite Jonin would spend all chakra trying to break inside.

To Kenshin's great joy uninvited guests didn't come that day—so setting sentries he barely moving from foot to foot went to sleep—taking tender Hitomi with him using her lush breasts instead of a pillow.

Hitomi was gladly ready to warm his bed and surround with care—so undressing to underwear she let him lie on her—stroking his head for about half an hour like a loving mother her child.

Kenshin had long noticed his relationship with Hitomi differed somewhat from relationships with other girls. Outside intimate setting Hitomi surrounded him with incredible care—which he insanely liked. Each wife was unique in her own way; Kenshin loved them all.
