Chapter 104 - Chapter 104: Banquet

Led by the spear-wielding Tontatta tribesmen, Kaidou and his crew passed through the dense forest and arrived at an open clearing.

Surrounded by towering trees, the clearing featured a flat grassy area in the center. Sunlight filtered through the gaps in the leaves, casting dappled shadows on the ground. The air was filled with the fresh scent of soil and grass, occasionally punctuated by clear birdsong.

"This is a perfect spot for a banquet," Kaidou remarked as he surveyed the surroundings, nodding in satisfaction. His tall figure cast a long shadow in the sunlight, covering nearly half the clearing. Turning to his crew members behind him, he said, "Bring out all the food we brought. Today we'll celebrate properly with the Tontatta Tribe."

It was only then that Enel, Sebastian, Inuarashi, Nekomamushi and the others understood why Kaidou had insisted on purchasing alcohol and meat in Dressrosa earlier - it was all for this banquet with the Tontatta Tribe.

The crew immediately sprang into action, pulling various delicacies and drinks from their carried packages. Soon, the clearing was filled with abundant food: whole wild boars roasted to golden crispness, seafood platters emitting tempting aromas, fresh fruits, and assorted pastries. Wine barrels were opened, and the rich scent of alcohol began to permeate the forest.

Before long, noisy sounds came from the distance. Dozens of Tontatta tribesmen, led by the spear-wielding tribesman from earlier, were quickly running toward them. The dust kicked up by their running sparkled in the sunlight, making them look like a group of cheerful sprites. At the front was a Tontatta tribesman wearing a crown and sporting a long beard, holding a scepter with a dignified expression - undoubtedly their King Gancho.

Despite standing less than thirty centimeters tall, King Gancho showed no fear of Kaidou's intimidating presence. He strode forward steadily and declared, "Welcome to Green Bit, travelers from afar. I am Gancho, the greatest Tonta Chief of the Tontatta Kingdom." Though his voice wasn't loud, it carried authority.

"Greetings, King Gancho. I hope you don't mind our unannounced visit," Kaidou said as he bent down, trying to keep his voice as soft as possible. His massive body cast a shadow that nearly enveloped Gancho completely when he leaned forward, and Kaidou genuinely worried that speaking too loudly might blow the tiny tribesman away.

King Gancho looked up at Kaidou, sunlight illuminating his wrinkled face: "Not at all, your arrival at Green Bit is fate. By the way, you are good people, right?" His eyes sparkled with innocent light.

"Wororororo, of course, as far as the Tontatta Tribe is concerned, we're all good people. After all, I bear no ill will toward you whatsoever," Kaidou told Gancho, his laughter echoing through the forest.

"Oh, that's good then."

Just like in the original story, the entire Tontatta Tribe completely believed Kaidou the moment he claimed to be good people. They immediately let their guard down and began chattering excitedly among themselves.

"It's true, they're good people!" exclaimed a Tontatta tribesman wearing a red headband, jumping up excitedly.

"I knew they were good people, but aren't those big humans too enormous?" A Tontatta tribesman stared at Kaidou's towering figure, his mouth agape in astonishment.

"I know, that's not a big human - that's a giant race. I've heard giants are several times larger than regular big humans," another Tontatta said, pushing up his glasses with a scholarly air.

"Fool, Joel just said that person is from the Oni Race," interjected another Tontatta.

"Oni Race? What's that?" a young tribesman tilted his head curiously.

"Not sure, but it must be a special race, right?" A Tontatta wearing a chef's hat scratched his head, looking puzzled.

"Are these Tontatta tribespeople too naive?" Even though Kaidou had mentioned earlier that the Tontatta Tribe was naive and easily trusted others' words, Enel still exclaimed in surprise at the current scene.

"Yes, these Tontatta tribespeople are indeed too naive. Perhaps that's why they need to hide on this uninhabited island," Inuarashi pondered aloud.

Just then, Kaidou had already directed his crew to arrange the food neatly. He picked up a massive barrel of alcohol and announced to the Tontatta tribespeople: "Come, let the banquet begin!" His voice echoed through the forest, startling a flock of birds into flight.

The Tontatta tribespeople cheered as they gathered around, their small figures appearing particularly adorable next to the enormous feast.

King Gancho raised his scepter and proclaimed: "To celebrate the arrival of our new friends, the Tontatta Kingdom will host a grand banquet!"

"Yay!" The entire Tontatta tribe shouted joyfully and immediately began the celebration.

A group of Tontatta musicians dressed in vibrant clothing marched in orderly formation, some playing delicate trumpets, others beating miniature drums, and some plucking harps made from carefully crafted leaves. The lively rhythm seemed almost magical, making people unconsciously want to sway along.

"Tonta-ta! Let's dance!" King Gancho raised his royal scepter high and initiated the Tontatta Kingdom's unique dance. Other Tontatta tribespeople quickly joined in, holding hands and forming small circles on the soft grass, spinning around joyfully. The cheerful scene resembled a moving painting, full of vitality and energy.

After the dance performance, the Tontatta tribespeople began showcasing their proud acrobatic skills. Several strong Tontatta tribespeople lifted a giant leaf together as a stage, while other performers flipped nimbly above it, executing various astonishing high-difficulty moves. The audience burst into frequent cheers and applause for these skilled little performers.

"Tonta-ta! Next is the Tontatta Kingdom's most spectacular performance!" King Gancho announced mysteriously. A group of Tontatta tribespeople wearing specially designed costumes marched in orderly formation, with thin ropes tied to their bodies connected to various small props at the other end.

As the music suddenly intensified, the Tontatta Tribe members began moving rapidly. Under their precise control, those small props formed various exquisite patterns in the air: first the flag of the Beasts Pirates, then Kaidou's portrait, and finally they actually formed the words "Welcome to Tontatta Kingdom." This ingenious performance left everyone present in awe.

"Amazing!" Enel exclaimed sincerely, his eyes sparkling with admiration, "These little ones are quite capable!"

"Their strength is impressive too—they can easily lift objects dozens of times larger than themselves," Inuarashi remarked with equal amazement.
